  1. I actually fear for the financial future of our club if we don’t start doing the business in games that we should be winning. We can’t keep pissing money away by exiting cup competitions too early against weaker opposition. Whoever is in charge of the clubs finances must have had their head in their hands at our latest loss. You would hope that the players and the management team have been left in no doubt that these results are unacceptable and something needs to change fast. If it doesn’t, I can sadly see another potential administration on the horizon. Finance wise it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee.
  2. Unfortunately the players are in hiding and I very much doubt that anyone at the club will be in the right frame of mind at the minute to put on a smile for the public. So I very much doubt that there will be an open day even though our schedule has been freed up slightly with the early europa exit.
  3. I mentioned earlier David and there is never a guarantee in football that the manager or players will rise to the occasion (unfortunately for us Stjarnan did). However, the Stjarnan game may make some people think twice about spending large amount of cash to watch Motherwell abroad. Some won't care about past performances and will still happily spend any amount to follow the team home or away.
  4. And not forgetting that the boys from Starjnan also have day jobs. You could tell by the celebrations at the end how much this game meant to them and their fans. It was the biggest game/win in the history of their club and sadly one of the worst in the history of ours.
  5. I mentioned the triathletes earlier and their fitness level is phenomenal. A footballer with that level of fitness and stamina would worth his weight in gold.
  6. That is certainly not good to hear, win lose or draw, the fans should always be acknowledged.
  7. Unfortunately, it’s up to each individual whether they decide to spend their hard earned on following a football team. Nobody forces them to do it, however, no matter who you support there will always be the risk that the team won’t live up to fans expectations. Frustrating as it may seem, following Motherwell has always been fraught with danger.
  8. Despite our recent league success, we appear to be lagging behind sides like Dundee United by cashing in on players raped and pillaged from smaller teams like Queens Park (like it or not United are ruthless at this practice). We need to toughen up if we are going to survive as there are no prizes for being the nice guys of Scottish Football. Hopefully Flow or someone from the club will spell out their vision for the future of Motherwell FC and how we are going to survive in this tough economic climate. I would love to hear that the futures bright, the futures claret & amber, however at the moment I am feeling very skeptical about it.
  9. I can only imagine what the atmosphere was like on the plane.
  10. Lech Poznan are a big club so there could be some truth in those figures. The money men at Fir Park will be none to happy with McCall and the boys. A bad, bad night in the history of Motherwell Football Club.
  11. It was, however, thank god we couldn’t locate an online stream.
  12. If true, the defeat is a financial disaster for he club. We certainly don’t do things by halves.
  13. Any quotes from McCall or anyone else at the club about the game yet?
  14. Pretty much. I think McCall would agree with you on all three counts.
  15. How’s that working out for them? Joking aside I think it is something that we really need to work on improving.
  16. At least we still have the domestic cup games to look forward to. This could be our year.
  17. These few quotes pretty much sum up last nights game.
  18. Now now this is a family forum....what’s your email address?
  19. So who was the lucky person chosen to report on tonights shambles?
