  1. I think you need to have a word with that Ebay seller, your reputation for quality is at risk.
  2. Out with season tickets, Well Society and sponsorship which commercial enterprises make the club most money? For me it would be handy to know where the most and least profit is made within the club. I know all money no matter how small is important to a club our size, but can anyone list our top ten profit makers?
  3. It certainly would be good to know where the maximum profit is made. There is no point in buying extra food from the food stall if all the money just goes to whoever supplies the food. Is there anyway of finding out how much profit we make (if any) from outsourced goods?
  4. Turnbull Hutton tells them straight. Well worth watching the video.
  5. Yes, it’s about time Sky said something on the matter.
  6. My late Grandpa fought in the First World War and was one of the lucky ones to come home safely. This is also a time to remember the British servicemen in the First World War who were shot for desertion, when in fact most were suffering from shell shock. This is a moving song about those who were executed by their own side. The video contains some historic WW1 footage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4U-MfTNwL-Q&feature=endscreen&NR=1
  7. if true, I will expect to hear about their resignations asap. Petrie especially, will have a hell of a lot of explaining to do. At the moment I am just relieved that we had no involvement in this one!
  8. The most concerning thing in all this is that Motherwell had no knowledge about these proposals. If I was Motherwell I would be looking for some answers asap.
  9. It could be called a sham if the recent SFL proposal was supported by the board before the offer of a Society Newco vote. I do accept that they may have had no involvement in this latest proposal, however I suppose we will just need to wait and see what they say.
  10. Luckily I have still not renewed, I will wait until our involvement (if any) in this shambles is a little clearer. If the Well Society vote has been a sham, and we have been duped into a brief Motherwell board love in, there will be quite a few pissed off Well fans out there. I truly hope they have done the right thing and stayed well clear of this proposal.
  11. I really hope we are squeaky clean in all of this, or there might be a few people asking for refunds.
  12. I would happily go along to this, I wonder how many they expect to turn up? On second thoughts maybe the proposed Fir Park demo should be revived.
  13. This is what is required. If the plan was known to Motherwell beforehand, it makes a mockery of any Well Society vote.
  14. Very smart. Many moons ago I mocked up a Claret and Amber Bukta tracksuit not dissimilar to this Puma design. I hope there is a claret and amber version in the pipeline.
  15. Unfortunately the buroo are paying him more than we can afford.
  16. Already in the Motherwell photo thread mate.
  17. I admit that I have been pretty shocked by the way this whole thing has panned out. Just out of curiosity I looked back at my first post on this shambles which was posted on the 10th Feb 2012. I appear to have been more preoccupied by the TV deal than Rangers demise.
  18. I can’t imagine that it will make any difference to our gates, we will still get the usual 4,500 - 5,000 turning up for our games.
  19. You usually find that big games involving one half of the old firm or Scotland (Cup Semi's / Finals) would give picture editors an excuse to commission colour. This was a lo-resolution "dot screened' scan down loaded from the web. It originally appeared in The Big Book of Football Champions by Purnell and L.T.A. Robinson (1962). By the 60s the use of colour film was now more widespread and the quickest way to get a colour image was to shoot them in colour. The printing in these early annuals had a technicolour look which was down to the less than subtle printing process. The 'hand coloured' appearance is probably due to that.
  20. No I reckon this was shot on colour film. There was a small demand for colour in the 60s, usually for football annuals and the like. Ironically I’ve just been copying some Kodachrome transparencies that were shot by my mum in the early 60s, and it wouldn’t surprise me if this was shot on the same film stock. A quick search on snspix will bring up a few early colour football images. However, colour would only have been used only in daylight games (usually in good weather) as the colour film speed would be too slow to be used in poor light (probably around 64 ASA). Black and white on the other hand could be easily uprated to a higher ASA (800-1600 ASA) for any winter or floodlit games. This was usually sufficient for the press as the print quality was usually shit anyway.
  21. Jennings will quite rightly be touted around every club possible. His agent will be trying to get the best possible deal for him as this will potentially be his last big move. If he goes (and I am pretty certain he will) I wish him all the best.
  22. Apologies if this has already been posted. Voices from the East Stand
  23. Spot on. If this was any other team out with Celtic and Rangers there would be no vote. Dundee would have already been informed to get ready to join the big boys league.
