  1. Some retro Admiral ads... A Scottish Cup Final good luck ad. An 1991-92 Admiral kit ad.
  2. If they had included our 1991 cup final kit, we might have won it! I reckon the early 80s England home kit will be the overall winner. England fans still worship that kit, if put to a vote I'm almost certain it would be in the top 2 or 3 among diehard England fans. Probably only to be beaten by their red 66 World Cup winning strip.
  3. Two kits in the top 11. This was a classic away kit, although we never had the usual stripes on the shorts. Instead Motherwell opted for plain white. Number 3 Motherwell Away kit 1976-78.
  4. Mind you it could have been much worse, the design I entered back in the late 70’s looked a bit like this... (I’m sure lightning bolts were in fashion in the 70’s! )
  5. God knows who voted for it fatcalf, it's one of our worst kits. It’s based on a fans winning design (competition organised by Roger Hynd) with the help of Admiral.
  6. Rangers, Manchester United, England, your boys took a hell of a beating!
  7. First voting shock, Motherwell 1978-79 Home Kit is in at number five!
  8. Same classic Admiral design, with a colour that is more pleasing on the eyes... Number 6, Wales Home Kit 1976-80
  9. Between Randolph and Daley for me. I think Omar just about shades it.
  10. Number 8, you either love it or hate it... Coventry City Away 1978-81
  11. Not sure, as they are only showing the top 11. So unless we are in it (highly unlikely!), we will never know. And here is number 10... Manchester United away kit 1975-80
  12. Same here Fatcalf, I also liked the brown Coventry effort. Almost certain that the England 80-83 home kit will be voted the favourite.
  13. The votes are in and Number 11 in the 'Countdown to Your Favourite Admiral Kit' is the Glasgow Rangers Home Kit 1990-92. Anyone apart from me, vote for our 70's white away kit?
  14. Soccerbase has a good head to head archive of results
  15. Talking of away kits, this mid 60s picture of us playing against Celtic in our amber hooped top shows two black players playing for Celtic. I don’t remember any black players playing for Celtic around that time. Any old yins on here, remember this game?
  16. There is something very stylish about white football kits. Our 1970s Umbro white C&A sash away kit was top notch. The same goes for our Ian St. John white late 50’s C&A hooped top. White tops with a touch of C&A always look superb. (Although I’m sure whoever washes our kit may think otherwise!)
  17. Without doubt Admiral shook up the football kit market in the 70s. A market that was then mainly dominated by Umbro, Bukta and Adidas. I hope with the recent takeover they can get back to the glory days.
  18. The very shirt that I helped the club shop and Bukta to produced a replica of. It was a belter!
  19. Ironically the Admiral brown Coventry away is probably one of the most iconic kits ever produced. A very brave colour choice as well! A Motherwell version of this well used template would probably have look a bit like this...
  20. Two of our 1970's kits are featured on an Admiral online poll to find the publics favourite Admiral kit. Our 1976-78 Away kit (wrong shorts!) might be worth a wee vote. It's a shame they they have ignored our 1991 cup winning kit, the 1991-92 kit and also our 1976-78 home kit.
  21. Apologies if already posted. Is there any update on the person who took ill in the DC stand last night?
  22. I was born in The Forth, and moved to the South Side of Glasgow in the 1990’s with my other half who is from the Isle of Skye. I have supported Motherwell through thick and thin since the day I was born.
