  1. It’s NOT a conspiracy. This type of speculation happens all the time, regardless of who we are playing. Until the transfer window closes our top players will always be linked with other clubs.
  2. Well said MJC, It’s got fuck all to do with stories linking our players to any other team. Our players have been posted missing against Rangers for as long as I can remember. I can’t see it happening but it’s about time we played to our potential against this shower of shite. I will be there, but I’m fully expecting another below par performance. That way anything else will be a bonus.
  3. And more and more young footballers appear to be doing just that.
  4. Maybe Flow could wear the costume.
  5. No, they would just need to draw lots to see who wore the Man of Steel costume!
  6. And as someone once told me, it doesn’t really matter how you perform in the 4 games against Rangers or Celtic. If you win most of your games against the rest, you have a great chance of winning the league title.
  7. My dad died when I was still quite young (16 years old) but I will be forever grateful to him for taking me to see Motherwell when it would have been very easy to go down the route of the great unwashed. I still regret that we never got to go to see a final together, although we came close on a few occasions. My memories are split between games spent with my dad in the 60s and 70s and the later times with my mates. The Texaco Cup games were always special as you got to test yourself against some good English sides. Apart from the Hearts defeat, I enjoyed most of these floodlit games. Beating either of the Old Firm was always enjoyable, and our 3-2 win against Celtic in the mid 70s was for me a stand out. Also, puting Sir Alex Fergusons St.Mirren to the sword at a jam packed Fir Park was also a great 70s Cup moment. Winning the old first division in the early 80s was a proud moment as it is so easy to go down and stay there for many years. Our 91 Cup triumph was filled with some great games and memories. Many tears of joy were shed during that historic Cup run. My best moment as a Motherwell fan? Hopefully it has still to happen, winning the SPL would top everything and you just never know with the Old Firm weakened by lack of finance it may still be possible. A miracle, yes! But sometimes miracles can happen.
  8. Not exactly the Da Vinci Code, but a novel idea by Motherwell in an attempt to get more people to buy the match day programme. Also brings back memories of the ball boy walking around the pitch holding up the lucky programme numbers.
  9. Without a doubt we should have a mascot(s) that reflect our team heritage. The bears just seem like the easy “off the shelf” option.
  10. I remember this being discussed on here some time ago.
  11. We have a very poor record against this mob, Sunday will be no different. First defeat of the season I’m afraid. 1-3 Rangers.
  12. The way Higdon is playing I would rather have the almost 58 year old Willie Pettigrew in our team. I’m hoping when he gets his first goal for us the floodgates may open. I’m sure it took the likes of Porter a few games before he started banging in the goals. We can but hope!
  13. Don’t hold back Geedub! For what it’s worth I reckon Sutton will be streets ahead of Higdon in the end of season scoring charts. Higdon in my opinion will lucky to get 5 for the whole season.
  14. Goooaaaaallllllll 1-0 to the Well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. It will be interesting to compare goals scored at the end of the season, but so far it’s... Sutton: 2 Higdon: 0
  16. The game appears to have 0-0 written all over it.
  17. The new away kit is at last featured on the FSC website. This years other tops were reviewed last month... Home Kit 125 Retro top
  18. That’s a blow, it’s essential that we keep injuries to a minimum if we are going to be league euro contenders this season. Get well soon Steven.
  19. I think they are weeyin, but even so the shirt doesn’t seem worth that! It also has 4 sponsors. one on the front, two on the back, one on the sleeves. A walking billboard.
  20. My mate just brought me back a Brisbane Broncos home replica top from his holiday which cost a whopping $AUD 199.00! This roughly converts to about £134! Luckily it was a gift for him from a relative and it cost him nothing. But seriously, a football top that costs £134. Has the world gone mad!
  21. Your a design visionary fatcalf, QPR have just released a quartered shirt as well.
  22. Funnily enough, Bristol Rovers have just released their new quartered home and away. A style that has been pretty much their signature design since the 1930s. Not sure how it would look in C&A mind you.
  23. I’m always willing to have a go! The problem is that most football kits are now based on brand templates. At least when you add the claret hoop to a template it makes it a bit more unique, something the teams who play in “painted by number” kits don’t have. In an ideal world we would have bespoke home and away kits each year. Of course this doesn’t guarantee a design masterpiece as Killie have shown by this years home effort. They are one of the few sides who go down the bespoke route and in my opinion their kits tend to look a bit fussy. Their home top this year is a perfect example of a kit that has been over designed. In my opinion the blue graduated stripes just look daft when a proper solid stripe does the job much better.
