  1. Stevie Hammell, Nicky Law, Jamie Murphy and Chris Humphrey were all outstanding today. If I had to choose one it would Stevie Hammell.
  2. The top reminds me of this AS Roma away shirt from a few years ago.
  3. Failing that just buy the sponsor-less retro 125 Years top.
  4. Glad to see there is still a healthy interest in past iconic designs. I’m surprised how well the rugby style top is doing as I wrongly assumed it would only be popular with the older generation. In saying that it may well be only people over 45 who have voted for it! It looks like the classic 60s anniversary hooped top is still a vote winner, even among the younger fans. Just shows that true design classics stand the test of time. As I said before it’s doubtful whether any past kits could be revived as a match kit, due to the fact that nearly all major kit producers rely on pre designed templates. In order to achieve this the club would probably have to go down the Kilmarnock route and produce our own kit from scratch. Or just speak nicely to our kit supplier.
  5. Had to be said... Hi, ho silver AWAY! I actually quite like the shade of silver, pretty smart. Personally I would have called the shade “Steel” Grey.
  6. I actually don't mind the claret sash top. I realise that could be purely for sentimental reasons, as you tend to fall in love with kits you remember seeing as a kid.
  7. Unfortunately it wouldn’t be allowed these days.
  8. As a massive kit fan I was keen to see the fans response to our 60's retro strip that was worn against Leeds United. For me, It brought memories flooding back to the first time that I saw Motherwell play at Fir Park. In recent times some clubs have revisted past designs and in the main received a positive response from the fans and kit design forums. This got me thinking of classic kits that we have worn throughout the years and I wondered which one if any you would vote to be re-introduced as a future match worn home kit. Or are you of the opinion that past designs should remain exactly that, and only re-issued as retro leisure wear. I realise these days that kit manufacturers mainly work from pre set templates and the chances of past kits being adopted are at best slim! I've quickly sketched three past inspired kits, a 50s rugby style, 60s hooped, 70s sash and one completely new design but still with a retro feel. As the shirt sponsor is an integral part of any modern day kit, I have included the obligatory logo in all the designs. I chose corporate giant Coca-Cola as like us they are celebrating their 125th anniversary. I'm sure if approached, they would have sponsored us for this season! You can vote for either kit A, B, C or D. A vote for D will mean that you think past kits should remain just that, in the past. If there is any other home shirt from our kit history you think merits a re-issue, just mention it in your post. Our full kit history archive is available here.
  9. Apologies if this has already been posted. Leeds TV highlights http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9H4qxk3_zg
  10. Any news on a new appointment? If he decides to leave Cardiff it’s good to know there is a job waiting for Mr P. Quinn at Fir Park. He looks as if he knows his way around a lawnmower!
  11. Some nice pictures on the PT official site
  12. The guy walks at a fair pace Eddie, I’ll need to make sure the motor drive and auto focus are switched at the ready.
  13. The very guy! I must get a picture next time!
  14. Yes, just the top. If you are really desperate for the full kit you can buy similar hooped socks online. The white shorts can really be bought anywhere, but similar ones to the ones used can be bought here.
  15. Couldn't have put it better myself. There is a skinny guy in his 30s 40s who wanders around Glasgow City Centre wearing the FULL Glasgow Rangers kit. I swear to god I have never witnessed him wear any clothes other than the latest replica gear. Now that is not right! Has any other Glasgow based Well fan noticed this dedicated follower of fashion?
  16. Similar to me Fatcalf, this was the first strip that I remember seeing as a kid when my dad first took me to Fir Park. A very simple iconic football kit. They should have shot the pictures in black and white!
  17. The shirt, shorts and sock combination looked great today. Although I’m sure the players wouldn’t have been too keen on the slightly heavier than usual polyester knit used for the top! In saying that it’s probably still lighter than the heavy cotton used to produce original 50s and 60s shirts.
  18. I will be there as usual in the East Stand if you want to meet up!
  19. This will probably be the “purest” Motherwell kit to be worn at Fir Park since the 60s! Older fans will wonder what has hit them Dave!
  20. Full 125 anniversary kit will be worn tomorrow against Leeds.
  21. Picked mine up from the shop on Wednesday and has been mentioned on here you really need to get a size up from your usual fit. I said to Alan that I was very impressed by the quality and feel of the finished shirt and of course there is no dreaded sponsors logo to worry about. All in all a cracking looking shirt, but then again I’m biased!
  22. Big Rangers fans I heard, looks like an early Craig Whyte buyout is on the cards.
  23. I will be well impressed if Leeds bring anywhere near 3-4k for this game. If you do, I reckon you could possibly outnumber the home fans.
  24. Has anybody kept a count on how many OG’s the big man has scored over the years?
