  1. I can hear the Ad jingle... “It takes a shake and Jack to put us back on track!” With Victor doing the Hippy Hippy Shake in the background.
  2. Have a great day lads! Just one question...Is the show available to watch on Sky 1, or do you require the sports package?
  3. They are both very good young goalkeepers and it’s extremely difficult to choose between the two. If pushed I would go with Randolph. Ruddy at times strayed a bit too far from his six yard area and despite his height looked as if he could be chipped from range. This is a minor criticism and he was probably only caught out on a couple of occasions. Here’s hoping Randolph can stay injury free!
  4. Has to be Blackman for his first half hat-trick. Special mention to Chris Humphrey for another great shift.
  5. As a massive fan of old school Adidas, this is another case of what might have been. The quality control on our kits has at certain times through the years has been posted missing. This situation will rarely happen at bigger clubs, where for most of the time corporate colour and historical kit guidelines are generally adhered to. I’m glad at the moment we appear to have got our act together, and now in the main our colours have been standardised. Despite four changes in kit supplier over the last few years, if we continue keep a watchful eye the more yellow tones of yesteryear will remain a thing of the past.
  6. Design wise it could have been so different, if they had just given a little thought on that god awful white Zoom sponsor patch. The person that approved this should have been jailed for crimes against shirt design. A side by side comparison, hopefully proves my point.
  7. Another great away win. Well done lads!
  8. Probably just my fading memory but I have no recollection of us wearing the away kit you describe. As SteelmaninOZ says...If anyone has a picture from an old programme, could you please post it.
  9. As my memory is shit, Fatcalf, or anyone who may know... What did our 80’s Adidas away kit look like?
  10. The only real crime of the Adidas top was the god awful colour. This was probably more the fault of Adidas than Motherwell. This was a standard Adidas template from the time and they probably couldn't be bothered to change the yellow for amber. After all, it was only Motherwell. The M.F.C script was brought back but sadly not with the same font that was used our original 70's kits. Slightly odd looking design. I had to redraw this monogram for the Bukta retro copy of our Admiral 70's away top. The old logotypes and that yellow Adidas top. Our present club badge is relatively new. I sure it was designed by a fan in a competition run by the club in the early 80's. Does anyone on here know the identity of the winning designer?. Talking about competitions... As a graphic designer, I'm used to people not liking/changing my work. If we all liked the same things, the world would be a very dull place. To be honest, Xara did a good job on what was intended as a homage to our 1950's Cup winning 'rugby style' kits. Unfortunately they didn't include all the design elements that were in the original visual, which in my opinion were an itegral part of the over all feel and look. The original design visual can be seen here.
  11. Having read our stats on penalties in the general football thread, any chance we can get a penalty taker in.
  12. Usually players don’t hang around long enough to earn legend/hero status. The lure of better wages will see the good and not so good players leave for more money. Back in the day, I’m not sure if Joe was ever approached by any other club and offered a better financial deal. My memory is a bit hazy from back then.
  13. I was at the last Semi Final Craig was in the Motherwell dugout. The usual dodgy penalty ensured Rangers got to the Final. Yabba, do you have a video of that sad night on the Southside of Glasgow? If so, maybe you would be so kind as to upload it to the highlights thread. Cheers
  14. Sad news. Joe will always be my favourite ever Well player. There are no words to describe just how great a servant he was to Motherwell F.C.
  15. Your such a tease Mr.Lip, are you leaving that story for your autobiography?
  16. That’s a shame as Motherwell are normally quite good at responding to these sort of requests. Poor show.
  17. He’s busy saving the World from the threat of global warming. In between saving the planet, he can be seen helping out at the local orphanage. As you can see he is far too busy to be playing football. For now, the business of scoring goals will need to take a back seat.
  18. When it comes to having our own web tv channel, we appear to have gone a little camera shy. It seems Flow’s vision has gone a little blurry, or has the budget been spent on more pressing needs?
  19. As Bob the Builder would say... Yes we can!
  20. Slightly off topic, but well done to the kit man for sticking with the amber socks today. I hope this recent change from the claret is now permanent.
  21. And fans are no different (me included) who expect us to get pumped before the game has started. I’m not sure how you can change this as anything you get from the Old Firm away is a bonus/shock.
