Suggesting to play Polworth anywhere other than in the middle of a midfield 3 is daft IMO. He doesn't have the work ethic to play anywhere else. Reminds me of Vigurs in the respect.

Just to chip in on the Long bookings... The first was very much deserved IMO, the whistle had gone and a length of time had passed that it would be "unacceptable" to kick the ball. It wasn't as if he was travelling quickly toward the ball or in the backswing of a kick. second I had no issues with either.

I like the look of him, I hoped he'd come fit in and do what we need him to. He looks like he has done. Seems to have got invovled in the whole "Motherwell thing" anaw if you know what I mean, appreciates the fans etc. I know that's just how players have to be but I like he shows it. Fickle eh? Long was correctly booked for kicking the ball away. It was blatantly obvious it was going to happen I felt enough time had passed that the ref was 100% correct in booking him. I have no issues with the ref here. On the other stuff I am pretty sure I have seen us gain from the throw being switched in the past. It may be some sorta Mandelka effect thing I am experiencing but I am sure I saw it happen. Gilliespie's card was dished out very quickly. Seemed odd. The yards at throw ins happens a lot and I agree it is very random when it is called out. Agree on foul throws. Dec Gallagher had a beauty of a foul throw on Saturday and it was not pulled up.
