We can't cope with teams who move the ball around quickly on the deck at the edge of the box and look for little through balls in behind. I'd love to be wrong but I think we're in for a roasting, they start well and we seem to be starting poorly. I think we'll be 2 down within 20 minutes and its tie over.

As long as we put in a performance (eg Pana and Odense at home) I'll happily accept whatever result comes our way. On our budget we have no right to expect to go far in Europe especially now that the competitions are rigged, but it is nice to dream, and if we play well and get a few breaks who knows. COYW!
I'd like to think we'll put in a decent shift but this team are comfortably streets ahead of both Pana and Levante. We'll be doing exceptionally well to avoid a Hibs type scoreline.

Apart from not spending a chunk of our budget on a centre half when we seem fairly solid in that area.

Cheers for all the help. Managed to get one company willing to take us for roughly £700 per head. Probably a bit too dear and with all the possible hassles at the border we've decided against it.

Funnily, I'm well aware of that and was referring to the crossings into Ukraine and Russia specifically, which would be circa about 4 hours and your car paperwork would need to be perfect.
What about a tour bus? What specifically would we need? Got one company now who are willing to give us a quote.

Been trying to get one of these booked but unfortunately they all either say no flat out when we tell them its for football or for insurance purposes they can only take us as far as Ukraine.

What about getting some sort of budget flight to eastern Europe and then a train? Whats the rail network like in/out of Russia?

Will we find out tomorrow if we are at home or away first? I've got an exam that finishes at 10.30 on the 31st so if we're away first i'm hoping for somewhere that I could get to in time.

I dont know why Gary Caldwell gets so much grief. Hes by no means the best centre half in the world but hes nowhere near as bad as hes made out to be. He won Wigans player of the year 2 seasons ago did he not?

Pretty sure BT have chosen 5.30PM Saturday as their live time for SPL games all season.

I'd agree thats pretty harsh. From what we've seen of him I think he looks tenacious with some decent movement and his goals to games ratio is excellent. I reckon all he needs is a good run of starts and he'll be a regular goal scorer in the SPL.

With this game only a week away now it might be a decent time to start predicting line ups, scores etc. We'll have a better idea after Thursday night of how we look in a competitive fixture but at the minute i'm going to go for a provisional 1-1 draw. Hibs were absolutely shite against Malmo and i'd doubt they could be so bad twice in a row. McHugh to score.
