Aye, I don't believe it for a second, it's as irrelevant as the McGlynn rumours.
-
Unless McGlynn has a clause that allows him to take over an SPL team with zero compersation due then I doubt it will be him. We're not going to spend money releasing him from his contract. FWIW, I got a worried text earlier from a cousin working in Edinburgh with a few Hibs fans. They are pretty convinced that Hughes will be taking over. I hope it's not either or them.
-
IF the club have gone down that route then they are even more stupid than they make out to be. That was the very deal they made with Celtic and McCart when we let him go back to Celtic for nothing. Didn't exactly work first time round, they would be plain stupid to try it again. Especially after the way it seems Brown and Aberdeen have already acted in the last week.
-
It's long past time the club grew a pair. Fucking shitebags.
-
There's not a hope in hell of McGhee agreeing to come back and hold the fort 'til the end of the season, while we weigh up our options. Leitch might well agree to it but if that's the route we are going down then that role would be just as well leaving Young to get on with it if we can't get someone with decent experience behind them. Really the last thing we need now is to be looking for yet another manager in the summer, everyone is sick of this recently, imagine what it'll be like if we are in the same boat in 6 months. We need to get a permanent manager in who's going to, hopefully, be here for more than a fortnight.
-
Chances are we are going to need yet another new team put together in the summer and McGhee has shown he is not up to the task to rebuilding teams. And that's not just going with the shambles he put together up at Pittodrie. He couldn't get out of here quick enough when it became apparent he would have to assemble a whole new team. He knew he wasn't up to it, and their is no doubt Gannon done a better job with that than McGhee ever would have. When he first joined us people were pointing out that when McGhee first joined clubs he hit the ground running and they would have a brilliant first season or so. Then, when some of the players started to leave and he had to start putting his own team together things started to go downhill. McGhee had his chance, he couldn't wait to get the fuck out quick enough, time to leave that one well alone.
-
What about the 2nd season though? It was pretty turgid at times. Are we willing to forget that, and all the other problems, just because we played brilliant for 1/3 of the season.
-
We'll revert to Sutton and Murphy, no?
-
I'd say he did a pretty terrible job of things at Lincoln.
-
Malpas tried to claim compensation despite the fact he quit. Don't know how he got on either. I'd imagine he went down the 'constructive dismissal' route?
-
Don't know if he's been mentioned yet, just back from a few days away and can't be arsed reading 15 pages on the subject. The first name that came to my mind was to go for Mitchell Van Der Gaag. He done a pretty good job at Maritimo, turning them from relegation strugglers into European qualifiers. He was sacked at the start of the season, but I think that was due to their European commitments meaning they got off to a slow start in the league. But I think I remember reading that the Maritimo fans wanted Mitch to stay and were not at all happy with the club's board/president for being far to hasty in getting shot if him.
-
That's unreal. Thing is too, if we do tell them to fuck off then all the paranoid c***s will start all their 'h*n without the bus fare' pish.
-
Perhaps the thinking is getting him a few games and then have him back by January when/if Reynolds is sold.
-
That's where I'd be inclined to believe the rumour they were told it was for a referee exchange program rather than to cover a strike.
-
The Israeli head of of refereeing only found out the reasons about the strike yesterday whilst doing a live radio interview on either talkSport or 5 Live. After the interviewer had to tell him, on air, the story behind the strike he admitted he had no idea about it and was shocked. Said if he'd known all the ins and outs before hand he wouldn't have agreed to send his ref's, but it was too late now as they were already on their flight. Clearly they've had a change today. That in itself shows that the SFA have either been lying about why they need ref's or withholding info about the strike hoping no-one would ask too many questions.

I our game not on Sky? Sure I saw an avert the other day saying ot was on Sky Sports 4. Not sure if ESPN have a Saturday game or if they are showing Rangers on Sunday. I agree with you anyway, I'd imagine that the TV games and probably the Challenge Cup final will get priority.
-
The major difference there between the 2 though, is that Everton spent £1 million signing Lukas from Swindon so were always going to be looking to recoup that. Blackburn got Blackman from Macclesfield for a nominal fee, as far as I'm aware, so they'll feel less pressured to cash in on him with his contract running down.
-
Thanks for clearing that up.
-
14 years ago!?!? Fuck me, how is that even possible? I mind that like it was this morning. Was that Dunfermline game the last 'Well game to have kick off delayed 15 minutes to let the crowd in?
-
Terrible news. All the best Joe. Thoughts with you and your family.
-
Oh, we know that, but they still have to go through the whole palava to make it look legit. Maybe that's why the draw is on Friday. It gives either of the Celtic or Rangers ball time to cool down in the fridge.
-
This is the reason why they are here in the first place. Solved your wee rant yourself there.
-
It's probably more likely because when they had the quarter final draw on the Thurday no-one from the clubs involved turned up at it, citing lack of time to get sorted after the games on the Tuesday and Wednesdday night. Regardless of any of that the sinsible ting would be to have the draw tonight on TV.
-
Can't find the schedule for the semi final dates. Anyone got them?

Portugal has a 16 team set up with 30 games.
