  1. We haven't announced a co-op agreement for this season yet have we? Something like that might be ideal for him similar to Whyte last season, although we didn't really make full use of it by ever recalling Whyte at any point.
  2. Definitely not for that amount of money.
  3. I'd be surprised if Falkirk were looking to sell him or if he was looking to leave to begin with tbh. A 30 year old midfielder who has 1 season in the top division with no resale value who you'll get 2 years out of (maybe 3 at the very most)? No, he's not worth anything like £400-500k and if anyone is daft enough to spend that money on him it'll certainly not be us.
  4. Aye you can. Just head down and see them
  5. Hahahaha. Absolutely not. £40-50k max.
  6. Part of what McInnes said was also along the lines of "I didn't need to ask who the penalty was for when I was told". What he said was definitely worse than anything Watt came out with.
  7. Rangers manager Derek McInnes gets a more lenient sentence than (ex) Motherwell's Elliot Watt - despite saying much worse. There's a shock.

    Away kit

The closest thing we've got to a clash is Dundee Utd. This doesn't clash with them so we'll either wear this or the 3rd kit. Against Hearts we'll wear the home kit unless there's another agreement between the sides to both wear away kits like we've had previously. Other than that we'll probably wear it in every other away game bar Aberdeen and probably Dundee or Rangers.
  9. Declan Gallagher joins Airdrie. If ever a club suited a player. He's also assistant manager, which I'm sure will work out an absolute treat given how successful his spells as captain with us and Ross County were.
  10. They would need to buy 4 houses, not just 2. Any new stand will likely just be built on the existing footprint.
  11. Some of the runs we went on under Gannon, Brown and McCall(?) were good. Especially the season under Brown when we beat Breadablik and Aalesunds but aye, you're right there. Managing to beat one of those higher ranked teams and give us something to shout about is the next step we need to take. Even St Johnstone have managed to do it.
  12. That was a hangover from the previous season though, not from a standing start, and had been building from about March. He should really have been dealt with as soon season as the previous season had ended rather than prolong the agony. As shite as Ricki Lamie was the worst thing he ever did was score that goal v Livi or Alexander would never have made it to the Sligo game.
  13. We don't always though do we? Aside from Sligo last time and Stjarnan we pretty much always do as well as we should be expected and gone out against the much higher ranked seeded team. Other than those too instances you need to go all the way back to Mypa to fill your misery quota. It's frustrating we've not yet taken that extra step and gone beyond that extra step - Odense was the one that got away there and would have put us into the group phase. I'll have missed some but going out to Nancy, Panathinaikos, Levante, Steuea Bucharest, Odense, Krasnador or the Israeli mob isn't exactly a rid neck. There are some games in there we possibly could have done better in (namely Odense and possibly he Israelis if Gallagher hadn't made a cunt of himself) but it's not an embarrassment by a long stretch. All of these teams had much bigger budgets than us and/or are regulars in European competition.
  14. This time last year we had already drawn with Clyde and were just about to scrape by Stenhousemuir with a scuffed SODs effort from a corner. Had everyone collectively decided that the patience offered to JBA and the team last season was a one off? Rushing out to sign a player every time someone else picked up a knock is what led us to Kettlewell's disaster if a final January window and a squad of about 200. We'll be fine.
  15. You'd have thought but when I went into the ticket office last Friday to buy my season ticket seats the lassie on the desk said they wouldn't be available, sections in both the north and south ends of the POD would still be use of action, so either she could allocate me random seats in another stand or I could wait til after Tuesday's deadline (now Monday) and choose from what opens up in the middle section of the POD.
  16. Parts of the O'Donnell won't be available apparently, while the new seats are still being installed. So I think they've maybe blocked out some areas to relocate people.
  17. Know how when doing his weekly predictions on Football Focus Mark Lawrenson had Liverpool going undefeated for something like 5 years straight? Same, but different.
  18. It's the perfect comparison, is it not? They're both the same age, played together all the way through the age groups and a couple of people involved have actually said Rice was potentially the better player. Then 1 of them decides to stay and get 2 seasons of first team football under his belt and is now a Scotland international playing in Serie A while the other has stagnated with a handful of games to his name, but at least his Da' can tell all his mates his boy plays for the Rangers.
  19. Jens wasn't our preferred choice last summer either so if that is the case this time I wouldn't get too bothered about it.
  20. By drawing his name out from one of the bowls?
  21. Going off the same timescale as appointing both Wimmer and Jens we're looking at the end of this week for an announcement. I think on both occasions securing a work permit took over a week so there's a chance we already have our guy we're just waiting on the paperwork being official.
  22. Assuming New Zealand go out at the group stage I'd guess at last half of that money will be/has already been allocated to cover his own transfer fee.
  23. Should be a good final.
  24. Ange Postecoglu recommended that Stevie Hammell should sign Riku Danzaki for example.
