Will be gutted to see him go. I'd much rather hold on to him til the summer and lose him for nothing, but that's probably just me being greedy. He's been superb for us, brought us some great memories and scored THE goal against Abedeento take us over the finish line fo Europe. Easily our best stike since Coyne, all the best big man. I just hope, if it is Sutton stepping in, that we don't turn into the long ball team we were earlier in the season when he was in the team.

Anyone not maybe think that as well as Craigan being out for long spells, that the fact Chris McCart isn't here this season might be playing a part. I know McCart was invlved in the youth development side, but I don't think there is any doubting that he was seen as part of a 3 man team. Considering he was the only defender on the coaching staff, perhaps not having him there for advice has affected Mark.

There is no way he was only 4 yards out. He was at least at the penalty spot. And as Al B pointed out the ball had spun up slightly too high for him to do much else with. I'm not sure if he would have been better trying to control it before putting it in, not sure if he had enough time for that.

Fitz scored a crackin' header last week, his first goal in about 3/4 years. Did anyone really expect him to score 2 weeks running?

It was a bad one, but not as bad as your trying to make out. It's not like it was a totally open goal, there was a defender on the line who, from some reason, he tried to lob with the header rather than put it to the side. Was it worse than Port's? It seemed to me his was much closer in, paractically on the line.

Don't think I'v ever seen a dirtier team than that Falkirk mob today. They were worse than Jeffries teams. They set out to kick us off the park and after the ref bottled sending off McBride they knew they had free reign to do what they liked to us. I hope some one jumps in one McBride like that next week and does some damage. McCann and Barr also deserve a doing from someone. Good display from us today especially Clarky, Ports, O'Brien, Klimpl and Hammell. The ref cost us the game. Fuck Falkirk...Wankers. I hope they get relegated after that performance.

Even without reserve games we would have the option of sending them out on loan to get some games. I would be surprised if Fraser signing and Buzz re-signing, if he does, would mean the end for both the younger keepers. They are only 19/20 with minimal experience,I think it woul have been far too big a risk to ask either of them to replace Smith. A poor start to the season, 1 poor game or a doing of the OF would shatter their confidence and would do more damage than good for their development.

Thats a bit harsh IMO. The covers, and most of the groundstaff, were borrowed from Aberdeen. As Aberden have a home game of their own to put on this week I'd imagine they would be keeping hold of all that this week to ensure they have their own house in order before making sure Inverurie are OK.

Definitely agree with that. Im only 23 so I was pretty young when I saw Cooper play, but I always remember my Uncle and my Dad telling me at the games how special he was and how much of a good thing he was for Motherwell and to have a player like that wear our shirt. Corrigan would definitely be in there. And maybe this is a generational one but I'd probably put Tommy Coyne in there. He is probably the best striker I have seen in a Motherwell shirt and his partnership with Dougie worked from the off an would be a hard one to top.

Yep, Porter for me too. We are far better team when he is playing. And probably the best striker we have had since Coyne? Hughes after that please. We are an even better team with Clarkson alongside Porter, but Porter will get by far the more votes as it's his contract thats up at the end of the season, whereas Clarky's was renewed last season.

Foran is now battling it out at Darlington. Saw him miss a penalty in a shoot out for them on Sky Sports News a few weeks ago. Not sure if he is only on loan to them though.

I think that is the point of the posts. We would be well within our rights to ask for upwards of £300K if it's an English club coming in for him. If it's Hearts making a bid we should be asking for at least double that because he is only going to end up ruining our chances of getting back to 3rd or 4th again while he is banging them in for Hearts. No doubt he'll score a hat-trick against us everytime we played them and lastly, they are *banned word*.

Dougie Imrie is shite. Anyone who wants to have him signed is wantin' their head checked. If that were the calibre of player we signed in the summer then we'd be in division 1 the following season. It seems the only people who mention his name are his 'mates' from the Lanark/Carluke area. I'd take Cowie though.

Along the same lines as doesser1886. I always remember the level of excitement around the place when word started spreading that he was back training with the team. And the longer it dragged on the more people thought that he would end up heading somewhere else. The club was on its arse at that point and when he signed up again the whole mood seemed to change in that instant and the feeling that this was the start of something new for the club with Phil back leading the way.

What the hell has Billy Reid ever done to merit being mentioned here? He's done OK in the lower leagues but Accies aren't any better off than us just now and people have been ranting for long and weary that it's about time we stopped giving managers their first chance or first big chance, and McGhee was the first time in donkey's years we got n experienced guy in. Althogh we are struggling this year, no-one can argue with what he achieved last year. As for Williamson, everyone is moaning that we have turned into a long ball team this season after the great football we witnessed last year. What do you think Williamson's tactics are going to be? His teams aren't exactly known for their sexy football.
