  1. I know hately missed pen but folk are going too far!!

And I think mccall has authority to tell him he can't take corners, free kicks and now pens.

Be honest: who thought we'd get anything yesterday?

Which is why I don't know why murphy didn't just take it. My dad said after missing one, he wouldn't have been allowed but come on, last game against them, I would have given him the chance.

It wasn't just hatelys fault we lost, it was ojamaa + murphy for not scoring, humphrey for not providing decent balls, randolph for not saving goal, etc etc u catch my drift.

If I'm honest I think people can be tough on mccall after doing what he has this season BUT why change a side that won 4-1? Didn't understand that one.

  2. Agree with this, McCall's build up to this game was wrong. To stress how much 'Well were underdogs despite having years of European experience compared to tonight's opponents must have set the team up to put on the crap performance that we witnessed.

Agreed! We went into this game defeated. McCalls interview before it was crap. For the first 20 mins or so, I thought we looked right up for it then we started the crap of just passing the ball about and not trying.

For me, until its impossible then you need to keep trying why the hell in the last 10 mins were we trying to hold on to a 2-0 DEFEAT?!?

Someone near us shouted, its this way, your scoring up here and someone else said do you think they know we swapped sides at HT?

Terrible mindset McCall puts across to his players

  3. Really disappointed.

First half we looked like the team trying to hold on to a lead, just passing, hardly attacking. When we did get up front, we did nothing. I had hoped it was part of some master plan to come out in the second half to just go for it, but we didnt. What did we have to lose? McCall needs to stop changing and establish a team to start gelling together. I didnt give up hope until the 85th min. I'm glad we got there and hopefully will do better in the Europa League. McCall annoyed me last week with his post match interview, it was like he had already admitted defeat. Fair enough, it was a mountain to climb and although we hoped we could do it, realistically it was a big ask of the team but a bit of fight last night would have made me feel better today.

Well done to all who travelled over there, yous were cheered whenever yous came on the screen.

  4. Don't know if its been said before but I hope mcfadden playing doesnt take away the fact this game is for hammell.

Really excited, feels like havent been to game in ages!!

  5. Went for jennings but can see why people voted the others. One thing I would say is that lasley has disappointed me this year with his discipline and that's why I didn't vote for him. But when his been in the team, he's the rock which just made me angry as it could really have cost us. But all in all, a fantastic year of our best team in years imo

  6. I wasnt at the game on sat but everyone Ive spoken to and in all the papers, Page was MOTM. So for me, theres no question of his place in the team on saturday. He needs to prove himself. We will ruin his confidence, pretty much like we have for Forbes, who in the games he started this season, i think in 2 out of 3 he was MOTM as well (if memory serves me right) only to be dropped for next game.

Cant make game this week either but will NOT be listening on MFCTV - totally laughable. Rather than being commentary for the game, its all about us, which doesnt give you an idea how the game is going. I know some people would like that but not for me.

  7. I think we'll win this easily but if I had to pick between losing tomorrow or next week at st mirren I'd pick tomorrow.

The last time murphy actually took on a player was against queens park so I've bet my dad a tenner that he will take one of mortons players tomororow.

Don't think we should rest anyone tomorrow. I've got a feeling it'll be 5-1, hutcheson getting on the end of corner, lasley, higdon, ojamaa x2

  8. Reading this is like something off an old firm board! How paranoid are you? The "gesture" is in the paper as "higdon celebrating" not "higdon gestures towards his own fans" it's a common sign players make when they score!

Higdon has done all he can being himself up front, hopefully ojamaa is the partner he needs!

And to be honest, if it was a gesture, who can blame him, I'd do more that to my fellow fans listening to some of the s**t they come out with!!

  9. Hately + Clancy can't play in same team, Hately can't play in midfield and I pick him over Clancy at left back, he's ok just Hately is better.

Don't know where to begin with Murphy, but if he needs a lift to crystal palace or wherever wants him I'll give him a lift and I won't even take petrol money.

I like Higdon, the thing is he has no support. Daly provided some but got taken off????? WHY??

Ojamma looked promising when he came on. If jennings isn't fit he shouldn't be on the bench, we shouldn't risk him.

  10. Agree that scoreline flatters us. Thought they could have ripped us apart in that spell in second half!

Got to say, Murphys best game in a long, long time. Funnily enough, before the game I said if he played well he's found his level, bit OTT but before today, I don't think I've ever seen him make a run without turning back + he did it every run today!!

This is forbes + mchughs last season unless they prove us wrong but in forbes' case everything he does wrong he gets boos or hears "git to fuck" but when the likes of craigan does something wrong, we're all used to it and if it doesn't concede a goal then I actually hear the crowd laughing. It's mental. No way should either of them been subbed in a day like today, they need a chance to prove themselves so mccall should have given them the full 90 mins. And forbes is no way worse than what we'd seen of hughes but the way some fans acted you'd think he was the bloody saviour we had been waiting on and imo a pay as you play short term loan player starting in front of one on our books is bad business. Maybe he was giving mccall a cut of his wage. Bit off topic but I hope you know what I'm getting at.

Page neither impressed or frustrated me today. Ojamma (sp) looked like an impact player, interesting to see him start alongside Higdon. Don't know what to think of law today tbh, lost his way a bit.

The team we put out was not what I expected. Thought it a wee bit disrespectful + could have came back to bite us. Had a neutral with me at game today, said it didn't look like there was X amount of leagues between the teams but obvious we had more quality. Felt sorry for them actually cause they were unlucky not to score.

This is a wee bit of a negative post but it's more to do with treatment of forbes + mchugh by both fans + mccall

Someone shouted "mccall fucking changing this" when we were 2-0 up????? Isn't that the point of a game - to win? If it had gone 2-2 then I would have agreed but come on, get real.

  11. maybe not filling in for hammell but on saturday and partcularly at pittodrie and st mirren park he spent more time marking the opposition full back than attacking them

Could this be because it was him that give the ball away + he was tracking back?

I keep hoping his recent performances have all been part of some bigger plan to stop him getting sold but just now I couldn't care less if he did go.

  12. if that was murphys finest game in a long time then I assume u don't get to many games?

And for the 5 who voted murphy motm then I suggest asking santa for new glasses!

The boy needs dropped, give mchugh a go now can't be any worse

  13. We shouldn't be applauding ANY former players who are playing against us. While John Sutton was a far better player than Richie Foran ever was IMO he will be playing for Hearts, against us, trying to score against and beat us. I've nothing atall against John Sutton, he was a good striker for us while he was here but he's moved on now and we have to do the same.

I have to agree with MJC. It really, really pisses me off that even away in Inverness we applaud and even sing songs about a former player who lets be honest, wasn't what everyone makes out he was for us. He was a sub-standard, middle of the road lazy b*stard who scored an occasional penalty. He was dire last week and i'm glad he no longer plays for us.

Sutton was a much better player. I was sorry to see him go.

About the game, im thinking a 1-0 so Randolph keeps a clean sheet, and i'll go for hutchy scoring off a corner (he had some chance on saturday)

  14. Law looks to become some player and just what hammell has needed (although i do get them confused sometimes  ) What a strike by Lasley!

Got the free season ticket for my 7 year old cousin. Took her to the toilet and missed Hammell's goal :wallbash: On a brighter note we have a new Well fan! From a family of rangers fans she went home and told them she is going to come to every game and they are buying her a motherwell top for Kilmarnock game

I think (hope) this is going to be a good season! The team looks to have gelled well and McCall is doing something right. Only problem now is that everyone else is realising this too!
