  1. Exactly. Thats something that has absolutely baffled me about this situation...that no one in the papers, on the news, journalists etc, has stopped for a minute and pointed out that it was the most ridiculous, pathetic excuse of a red card ever. Put the betting scandal aside...and think how can such an abysmal decision (and referee performance as a whole) get overlooked so easily?! because its not as good a news story??
  2. Lasley has been a great player for us over the years, a solid pro who is always committed to the cause. I actually think hes added to his game since the arrival of mccall. I noticed that as soon as mccall came in he seemed to have a bit more confidence in and around the box. Got his goal against gers in CIS semi then this season hes banged in a few.
  3. I'd like to see: Randolph Hateley Craggs Clancy Hammell Hump Lasley Forbes/Carswell Law Higdon Mchugh Think Page deserves a chance but hard to drop clancy on his last 2 performances. Think we'll get a point out of this game, could see either side edging it though.
  4. +1 That attitude pisses me off as well. Again other than that, a good email well put.
  5. No surprises there then. I wonder what it will take for mcall to change things up. I think we'll win tomorrow simply because aberdeen are pish. Can't see us not conceding though. 3-1
  6. Aye well not for long if we carry on losing 3 goals a game.
  7. Well they dont lose goals by passing it into the opposition strikers path. Obviously players will make mistakes, obviously, eg a midfielder giving the ball away leads to losing possession but the other team still has to do something with that possession (ie beat the midfield, defence and goalie, before you pick on that). Recently we have been giving goals away directly from shocking mistakes. Craigans poor control giving it straight to o'connor. Hammell passing it straight to Sandaza. Randolph fumbling it into a st.j players path. Jennings passing to griffiths(?) 18 yds out - let off there but a close one. To mention a few. Its these mistakes that are costly and need to be cut out. Everyone human etc etc, but the amount of these costly mistakes we are making is beyond a joke for a professional team. OK so i dont know if jennings is interested or not but he certainly doesnt look it.
  8. What pish is that? highlight the pish...
  9. Yes. There is no way mccall will drop either of them though. I'd even be surprised if he drops clancy for saturday. In fact im sure the line up will be exactly the same as sat/tue despite the fact Murphy is clearly knackered, jenno is clearly uninterested and our defence is clearly a joke. We have lost 14 in the last 5 games. Its all fine saying that most of these goals have been down to individual errors (as opposed to teams ripping us apart) but in the end of the day our players are making these errors and as long as they do we will continue to lose goals at the rate we have been and it needs to be addressed. Randolph Hateley --------- Page Hammell Humph Lasley Carswell/Forbes Law Higdon Mchugh Dont know whether to fill the gap with craggs or clancy. A pairing of page and clancy doesnt fill me with confidence but neither does craigan just now!
  10. Am I the only one who thought craggs was fucking dire last night? Griffiths should never ever have been given that much space to cross for the first goal. And when the ball approached craigan even he knew what was going to happen...one up in a cup tie, 87th minute - he should have done what he does best and stuck his boot through it but no, he tried to control it with his bollocks and made an arse of it. Dont get me wrong I like craigan, he has been a great player and ambassador for the club but the fact we are quite heavily relying on him gives me the fear.
  11. Interested to know what you are basing this on? Clyde game? I wasnt there, but I actually thought that under gannon mchugh looked like he could be a player for us - since I have seen him on about 10 occasions for 5 mins at a time since I cant really comment. When I have seen page he looks competent enough but lacking the confidence to get involved and get stuck in, but is it any wonder since he has been on the bench for about 3 years?
  12. Hollis Hateley Craigan Page Hammell Lawless Forbes Lasley Law Mchugh Daley/Higdon Reason I'd go for this is because IMO randolph, humph, jenno and murphy NEED time out the side for their own good. One of crags/clancy needed dropping - clancy being the obvious choice but it would be both if we had the resources. Having said that, i think we all know what the lineup will actually be.
  13. As has been said, utter pish today. What has happened? Randolph made a good save but in general looks a shadow of last seasons self. The two centre halves were a bombscare. Jennings looked like he had just got out of bed. Didnt notice murphy was playing until the second half. Higdons had his worst game for us...yet still not the worst player. We have a very strong starting 11 and our early season form shows that but they have become unbelieveably complacent. We need to drop a few and bleed in the youngsters to give them a wake up call. Folk will say that we cant rely on youth but one way or another we have to i'm afraid. Its part of our club to bring through youth and sell on so that we can compete at the top end of the spl. For the hibs game we should be dropping clancy for page, humph for daley, murphy for lawless, jennings for forbes, higdon for mchugh and call me mental but hollis for randy. I'm actually looking forward to the tuesday to see how we react. But I for one will not be a happy chappy if its the same, predictable starting 11 again.

    Big Hutchie

It might just be me being a bitter, paranoid well fan but from the highlightds on sunday night did it look a bit like stokes left the boot in? I remember thinking that when watching the tv highlights but its not showing it on the online highlights. Real shame for Hutchie, doesnt seem to be getting much luck in the injury dept - just hope theres some silver lining from this.

    Big Hutchie

Exactly. If Page is ever going to make his breakthrough with us, its now. I know that he was a hit at stirling and he seems to have done well in the cup games he's played in (all be it against lower league opposition). Hopefully he will take his chance and give mcall a real selection headache when hutchy and saunders return!
  16. I think you have completely missed the point here. McCall has done a fantastic job since he came in - I dont think any well fan will argue with that. End of. But I for one do care whether or not we get pumped by the old firm. As i said before, I dont always expect a result but I expect a game to watch and hopefully enjoy. If we get dogged every time we play them in the league and never expect anything, how are we ever meant to beat them in the cup? If the team arent going to turn up then why should we? Why bother buying a season ticket if we can immediately write off 3/4 games a year - thats not including the ones we cant make anyway.
  17. Totally agree with ya bezzer on this. 9 goals to 1 is shocking by anyones standards. Totally disagree with this too (other than the first bit of course). If I pay £26 to get in to parkhead/ ibrox then of course I dont expect a result every time but I expect to see a battle. If we lose 1-0 fighting then fine, but to get pumped and then have to put up with the neddy, scummy pr1cks the other side of the barrier is NOT how I want to spend my weekends!

    Craig Brown

My thoughts exactly...don't really understand this whole situation! Is it just me or is this quoted figure of 25k from the old boy getting bigger all the time??
  19. Interested to know if i'm the only one to disagree with this? IMO all Kyle has that sutton doesnt is his thuggish nature and being a moaning faced b*****d. As much as I hate to say it i think sutton could be awesome in the hearts team if he is given time to settle...
  20. Seconded, would hate to see a meldrum or a smith back. If randolph is sold, we should go for cerny... Any news on sutton or jennings signing a contract yet?

    Craig Brown

Say what you like about Boyle but Brown should know better than to react in that way. He left the club under very bad circumstances and knows how Boyle felt about it. So anything Boyle said (unless it really was something shocking) doesn't justify that response. If he is as dignified as he likes to think he is he would have ingnored it. And for what it's worth, I reckon hes full of shit when he says he knows things that could embarrass the club. If he did he would have been away at aberdeens first offer. Basically, he's made an arse of things, knows it, and is trying to hide it.
  22. Did the wee h*n not get booted out too? Thats shite if not, he was so clearly the problem and that is just sheer incompetence on the stewards/ police behalf. As for the ref...all refs in this country they are all scared of bad limelight by giving a wrong decision against the old scum and it being all over the papers and news. A wrong decision against a diddy club though is fine.
  23. To be fair the bookies never actually said they have evidence against Jennings. The papers/ media said that. Reading between the lines though all they really said is they had evidence to take the investigation further...could mean anything really. Still doesnt answer the question why they haven't gotten any further with it though.

    Ins & Outs

If he is better than hutchison and page then he'll have a good half season here and then be back at blackburn pushing for a place. This will mean hutchy/page's development as a motherwell player will be stunted as both look pretty capable just now. Totally agree with shaka on this one. IMO we should be looking at replacing craigan, I like him and reckon hes great behind the scenes but hes been skating on thin ice a lot recently. I hope hes just there to groom hutchy into the role and then let page step in next year. Having said that good luck to the boy and to halsman off to dumbarton as well. Never seen him play but he must be quite highly thought of in the lower leagues now. Does anyone know if hes better left back or left mid?

    Ins & Outs

Im sorry but the most embarrassing thing surrounding this incident is the reaction on this forum. Leanne Dempster came on here to post and (im assuming) read pages and pages of shite, ripping into the club and directors. This is OUR club. Support it. If anyone thinks this tiny wee incident is embarrassing then you obviously werent sitting in the away end at pittoddrie when some arsehole fans were chanting "mcghee is a peado". The last few months have been unfortunate, we have made a couple mistakes and been shafted a couple times but dont kick the club when were down. Get to fir park today and cheer the boys on and do what fans are supposed to do!!
