  1. Even if they quadrupled my wages I wouldn't go . As I said if I was to whore myself to another club it would be to one who could win trophies not one who promises and fails to deliver. And that is not just the perspective of a fan , if I was leaving my job for more money it would only be if I could gain success and happiness. Not phrases that I would associate with a move to Jamboland :wank:
  2. I would never work for a company that I had no respect and an immense hatred for. I would rather sign for a true biggotted company than a fake bigot like the Jambos
  3. I would never sign for the Jambo scum, never
  4. I'm sorry if I upset anybody but ,get to fuck Sutton ya money grabbing bastard. I could have accepted anyone except the Jambo scum I hope yer next one is a hedgehog :wank:
  5. That is pretty much how I remember it tooooooo but you missed the we want 5 chant to rub it in. The 3-2 at Fir Park in 75 I think when we came from 2-0 down was the first time I saw us beat them so that holds special memories but the 91 semi because you don't get second chances, because we came from behind twice, because we had never been to a final in our lifetime, because I had to drive for 10 miles behind one of their buses with a scarf on the dashboard just that the semi that wee bit special.
  6. A big thanks to JB for everything he did for the club. I hope the boys give him a perfect send off tomorrow.
  7. As has been said already it is time for new heroes. Tomorrow is about now and not about the past. Mon the 'Well

    Cup Final Tickets

Having had some communication with the club re the ballot it is my understanding that priority will be given to those who have bought tickets for games both home and away, in the cup and in Europe.
  11. I have a few clippings from the Sunday newspapers and I still have my ticket. A few days after the final the team were down in New Lanark at the opening of something exactly what escapes me. Anyway I gave my ticket to my mum who worked there and she got the players to autograph it. Among the signatures are DC, Uncle Phil, Jamie Dolan and Paul McGrillen absolutely priceless to me.
  12. Normally I would agree with that but when the thread started it was as an alternative to the Irish flags and as the media will be trawling through this site looking for any scandal I just thought that on this occassion it would be better not to do it.
  13. David I understand the logic behind what you were saying and I do understand what you are saying but then again I don't work for the braindead glasgow newspapers who look for ever opportunity to have a go at the wee teams to allow them to say that the old firm are not to blame for all the religously biggotted shit that comes out of their supporters mouths. If we go out with flags and banners that could be misconstrued in any way to be sectarian then we give them a victory. No saltires or union flags(unless it is on a ship it is not the union jack) even in a claret and amber colour scheme lets not give the barstewards any excuse to have a go at us or to let the bigot brothers off the hook.
  14. Not worried about upsetting anybody by flying or displaying this countries flag but at a time when one of them is about to get a ban/fine from UEFA for their sectarian bile then if we go along anything that even resembles a sectarian route then we will have given them justification for saying that it isn't their problem it is Scotland's.
  15. I would be against anything that could end up with us being tarred as sectarian by the west coast militia that masquerades as scottish newspaper print. If we react to any of the obvious signs, banners, flags etc that the other lot bring with them then bang goes any moral high ground ragarding the bile that comes out of the OF every year. Good old Uncle Wattie says that it isn't only them and wee Lennon says it is a Scottish problem. If we turn up in any shape or form to stir them up then both of these pricks have been proved correct.

    Aberdeen

A number of good performances yesterday, I thought Hutchy was solid at the back, Mo Ross looked like he had been in our defence for years, Murphy was in the face of the oppositon defence for most of the game, Gunning was solid until he had to go off and Lasley was immense he controlled the midfield and was a pain in the arse to the sheep but by a country mile and a bit the man who excited the home crowd and made the sheepshaggers shit themselves every time he got the ball Chris Humphrey is starting to show what he can do

    Craig Brown

Very similar reaction myself big man except I just shouted at the radio and put the foot down. It is hard to believe that the old wanker is still getting away with it. I hope that after we beat St Johnstone the 'Tic have a mare and we can take the sheep shagging bastard to pieces on live TV at Hampden.
  18. I totally agree but if any lesson needs to be learned by some people on this site it is simply not to judge a book by its cover and make your own mind up By the way " Get it up your chocolate whizzway Mr Brown"
  19. Sorry but I think that the Airdrie councillors might shout a bit louder about supporting the 'Well than the councillors in South Lanarkshire, never mind those in Coatbridge. My point was that as we are Lanarkshire's premier club then we should ask both of the Lanarkshire councils to support the club. However, in these time of financial austerity there is no chance of the councils wasting money on 1 of the 4 clubs in the district and that doesn't include the 2 biggest supported teams in the council
  20. Aye but what about South Lanarkshire? A huge number of our support inhabits the towns of Lanark, Carluke, EK, Hamilton, Blantyre, Uddingston and Larkhall. If we are asking the council for support then it should be both North and South or do we let the Accies have the south to themselves? We are Lanarkshire's premier club.
  21. Not here to defend Wallace, some people are not worth defending but was this not the record of Bobby Watson?
  22. Somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean please
  23. Flow, That would be a good place to start but a 10 team league led to the stagnation and eventual downfall of Scottish football. A bigger league would lead to a lot of meaningless games but these games would allow teams to blood their youngsters just as they did pre Premier League and they could be played in front of reasonable crowds if the prices were reduced to suit. I don't think this would be an immediate fix but if allowed to continue for a period of time then it might work. If only one out of 16 teams was definitely relegated and another 2? had to be involved in playoffs with 2 from the lower division it would allow more teams a bit of stability to blood their young talent and hopefully lead to the development of a better standard of football in this country. This I must add is only my opinion but the game in the 60's was reasonably competitive even although the OF still dominated.
