  1. Just found out I might be in Wrexham
  2. I can't get any time off work for going down. My best hope is that the project is ready to move to Liverpool that week but I think I'll stll be up here working.
  3. Welcome to the club. Hope you have already started things moving for replacing some of our departing stars.
  4. Good Luck DC and the best for the future. Hope we get you see in C&A again in the future. Gutted that we've lost him but can't grudge him his move. He has been through every emotion possible while with the Club and i am glad to see he got a move to somewhere he can start afresh and progress his career.
  5. Went onto the Sunday Mail Website to see what news they had on the Mighty 'Well. I must be going blind though, so can someone point me in the right direction. Find Motherwell and see if you can spot anymore mistakes.
  6. I am putting my journalist head on. Media Officer from Motherwell travelling to Bradford and Manchester on a Sunday. Must be doing an interview with our new signing Steven Ireland in Manchester and going to Bradford to get a decent curry?
  7. I am slowly getting my head around the idea of selling the crown jewels. I still don't like it but if we are getting £700k+ for DC, I'd like t think that Burnley if true have offered us a similiar or better figure and whatever we get for Quinn we could be looking at anywhere up to £2million hopefully coming in with the majority of it being given to the manager. I've seen posts on here saying that we should've been looking at bidding for Leigh Griffiths and a few others that Dundee have bought. If these sort of players are good enough then we should be able to buy about 8 or 9 players if £125k as spent on Griffiths is anything to go by. We have known since the start of the pitch fiasco that McGhee's budget would'e been dealt a severe blow this season. However since then we have a good chance of getting through 2 qualifying rounds of the Europa League. (Well slim chance of geeting past the 2nd). If we can do that and draw a bigger team (maybe Roma) then we can supplement the coffers as well. Obviously we also need to wait and see what happens with the tv rights before any manager would gte his hands on all that is brought in but it should hopefully be enough to give him a decent wage budget, especially with the others that have left freeing up wages as well.
  8. Well as well as losing Clarky's goals from last season we have lost the highest scoring midfielder as well. So I suspect it'll be a fair few.
  9. This time next week we might be happy to take a 1-1 draw against the Welsh "minnows". Especially if Coach and DC are off. I would hope that Sutton and A.N. Other can grab a couple of goals but can we garauntee keeping them out at the other end?
  10. The Express are carrying the DC to Bristol C as well. Worried that they're only mentioning £600K though. If DC is off, I wish the bst of luck to the lad and thanks for the great service he has given our club. That doesn't mean that I ain't going to be gutted though. Looks like we may need the likes of McCart or Nijholt involved yet.
  11. Thank God for that, the longer it went the more I was convinced Galatasary were lying in wait. Now who the hell is Flamurtari?
  12. No riddle. Look at the edit stating wrong thread and a smile next to it. My brother is waiting to hear about a mangers role in a shop in Edinburgh. This thread is about managers that we'd get. So I thought I'd lighten the mood of the thread as the last couple of posts before it were basically decrying posters for having opinions.
  13. New manager will be announced tomorrow. Have stayed pretty quiet on this as my brother is on the shortlist of people to get the position. He says he is hopeful of getting the role and can't wait to get working with his assistant manager. Apparently the shop has a nice outlook with Edinburgh Castle in the background.
  14. If you don't bring back the silverware, don't come Home!!! No pressure like!!! Seriously, Good Luck and lets home the C&A ribbons are around the trophies tonight.
  15. Have this one on me Matt.
  16. Wonder if the Bird Table is still there. I have a feeling some of our residents may feel like a trip down memory lane.
  17. The Sun is reporting that Cardiff have sounded Motherwell out for a move for DC if McCormack leaves them for the Premiership. No quotes in article but says DC is valued at £500K with one year remaining on his current contract.
  18. That story is so good it had to be posted twice. From yesterday.
  19. Just having a quick look around the paper sites to see who we're being linked with and found this from the Sunday Herald site. It's an interview with Luc that provides a little bit more info on what he has being doing and what he sees his next step as being. Also noted a story stating that the two Jimmy's would consider both the Falkirk and Motherwell jobs.
  20. That confuses me. Does Leitchy have connections with Aberdeen I have missed? Being an assistant doesn't always follow that you'll be the next manager. If he really wants to be a manager of Aberdeen would he not have been better taking the Mothewell job and proving what he could do himself?
  21. I would expect to see more ofhis views on Motherwell in nthe papers tomorrow. The TV Interviews tends to be about the club he's just signed for. I mean if we were to take Ally McCoist or Neil Lennon on as manager would you really be prefer to see the first tv interviews going on about their time at their previous club or what they intend to do with their time at Motherwell? I know which I'd prefer, most of the stuff Yogi said about Falkirk wasn't printed until the day after and any interview showing it didn't go up until the following day. As far as the TV is concerned the news is the appointment and the future very rarely is it the past.
  22. Disappointed mate, Broadwood would've been much better, at least I could get a pint Seriously though got to be happy with the prices for an adult and 2 kids.
  23. I think you can safely say I was joking. I still haven't made up my mind who I want to be the new manager. I can see why folk are interested in Nijholt but doesn't make me jump off my seat. Having said that neither have any of the other names mentioned. Two years ago I was excited when Gary Mac's name was mentioned but after his comments then I can only see him coming here to put himself back in the management window. I have a sneaky feeling though that the only way we'll get an experienced manager is if he's out of contract as JB could put extra money into his wages packet with no compo to pay.
  24. Sorry but Steelmenonline is all the Motherwell fans, all the genuine and hardcore ones anyway. As we have more power than the Trust, in fact more power than John Boyle it's only right we are listened to. Our poll says that Nijholt is the man for the job so that's who we want, alright?????? Seriously though the papers report that Nijholt is the fans favourite so it must be true.
