Dundee have scored one goal in open play in the last six games (they got another but it was a penalty). The goal difference isn't enormous (7 goals) all it would take would be a 2-0 win at our end and a 0-2 defeat at theirs and it becomes competitive again, with, say, 3 or 4 games to go. Inverness are a lot like Accies, they have drawn a huge number of games this season and that is why they are at the bottom. They have drawn 13 out of 32 matches and lost fewer than us so I think it is a mistake to assume we are better than them.

We have a support who want a simple narrative and easy scapegoats - whether that be Craig Samson, Mark McGhee. Alan Burrows or whoever the next one is.

The Curse of the Former Player looms large with Vigurs, Laing and Anier although I think Vigurs is injured at the moment. As I alluded to at half time I actually feel sorry for McDonald playing in that team. Works his socks off every week when surrounded by complete diddies. Had to be one of McDonald, Lasley or Ainsworth today and I went for Lasley. Made an immediate difference when he came on.

Louis Laing was destroyed by East Fife and Wes Fletcher was a bone china player who now plays in an elf league.

Does McHugh add creativity in midfield? The only good thing right now is we have stopped throwing in goals. Do you really want to leave Jules and Heneghan unsupervised? Games will be over after 20 minutes. I'd keep McHugh back there even if McManus was available and drop Heneghan

Don't be utterly ridiculous that would involve us playing the ball on the ground and not our points amassing 1980's lower league hoofball tactic.

I don't expect our fourth striker to be great but I expect him to be better than me. Blyth should be dropped off at Daldowie to take selfies of himself for the rest of the season. And anyone who makes out are better without Lasley needs to have a word with themselves.

Better second half, Ainsworth and Lasley improved us but no complaint about result. Style of play is abysmal though and I anyone surprised a Robinson team can't score?

If Scott McDonald walked out the dressing room and just went home I'd say he was quite within his rights. Only guy there with some fight in him. Deserves better than this bunch of team mates.

Would be a disgrace if they were amateur footballers. We've won a watch going in 0-1 down after that display. Not one player across defence and midfield would score more than 1 out of 10. Only hope you can have is we should be dead and buried already.

This is one of the biggest shambles I've seen in all my years.

I think we have been very, very unlucky with refereeing calls this season, not just goals but some of the red cards have been terrible decisions and probably impact us more due to suspensions. Injuries have been awful as well to the point that I don't think we've been able to put out our strongest side once all season.

The phrase "Clay doesn't" just about sums him up. What did he do tonight? Lasley's legs might be gone but he's a much better player behind the ball than Clay will ever be. Won some tackles, took on responsibilities, played some decent balls down the sides and into the box, generally got involved. Clay did absolutely nothing tonight.

Has to be either Samson or Bowman. I'd go for Samson who I think has actually been in pretty good form recently.

Thought we started really well and looked well out of sight of Accies. Then Heneghan made a hash of a pass back and it became infectious. After that 4 or 5 players made unnecessary mistakes and you could almost see the confidence drain out of us. Accies got on top and created all the best chances from then on. Luckily Samson did everything he needed too. Second half I felt we dominated without really carving out any real opportunities. Hamilton soaked up the pressure relatively well and won nearly every header - bad for us since we had gone from going past their left back at will in the early stages of the first half to hoofing long balls up to McDonald and Ainsworth in the 2nd. You could clearly see we were nervous and ill at ease, we had more to lose tonight than Accies and it affected the players. That, along with tactics that didn't suit our better players. I think you have to look at the positives. He didn't have his best game tonight but we've been much better at the back since McHugh went there. I would keep him at centre back, even if/when McManus comes back. We gained a point on Dundee and didn't lose any ground to the teams below us. A 10th place finish this season is fine. Just have to go forward now and try to get as many points as possible before the split. Inverness would be a good time to break the home hoodoo.

Stevie Woods is infamous for his assist to Durie but the one that hangs in my memory is Corrigan's 'pass back' in the last minute of the League Cup semi final where we had outplayed Celtic and looked good for an extra time win.

This is a bit arseholey I know but I got some information straight from the horses mouth so to speak so I can't actually tell you who it is because I don't want to betray trust. The player in question hasn't been mentioned yet in the thread but if it comes out later I'll chip in and confirm it. A clue? Well it's tough biting my tongue so what I will say is it's a Scottish striker who's had a few ups and downs at bigger clubs but is potentially a decent signing. Both club and player are interested although the deal probably depends on us staying up. I've said too much already!

Whatever happens at least one of them is in the shit. Personally I think both will be down there battling come the split.

Nonsense. The cross is high, fast and curling away from goal. Very difficult for any goalkeeper to come for. Garner starts his run on the 18 yard line in the opposite direction of Samsons line of sight and strikes it beautifully. There are goalkeepers in the past where nothing would have been said but because its Samson it's he's hung out to dry. Samson played a big part in us getting that point on Saturday and has actually been pretty decent recently. Made a save at Kilmarnock as well that helped give us all three points. The myopic scapegoating needs to stop.

Well to be honest I forget I don't get paid holidays in this job but on the other hand probably worth it to not have to phone someone and lie about diarrhea.

Taking unpaid leave to go to this match so this will be the most expensive game of football I've ever been to. Kinda adds an extra dimension to the 'we better win' aspect of it!
