If Fraser is first choice next season and doesn't quite work out Thomas Cerny will be out of contract in the summer...maybe a wee January transfer window bid with 6 months of his contract left?

Seem to remember a penalty shoot out victory against Airdrie in a Lanarkshire Cup final at Fir Park. Think it was only the Main Stand that was open. Anyone got a better memory?

Yes. Forbes has talent. What ever anyone says the biggest single factor in football, even more so than talent, is confidence. It would be a disgrace is Ross Forbes loses that confidence due to people who should be supporting him. Someone else here said it recently but it needs repeating : players who come to Fir Park from elsewhere are usually lauded as sort of demi gods. Our own boys, inexperienced and trying to develop their game, are treated like some kind of enemy that should be destroyed. Just look at all the garbage guys like Clarkson and Quinn came through. Well they brought in nearly £1,000,000 to the club in transfer fees. Not bad for players that were regularly described as 'pish' and 'not good enough' by some of the 'experts' in the East Stand.

Let's just remember that for here on in 6 of our 7 games will be against teams that have proved to be better than us over more than three quarters of the season. Hopefully we'll compete better than yesterday but even if do we will still lose games. What I don't want to see is fans turning against the team at this stage when we've done better than anyone could have imagined over the course of the whole season and we are ending it in with the big boys exactly because its been a successful term.

People are entitled to be angry about the last few performances but please keep it in perspective. Motherwell lose matches, it doesn't make the manager and all the players useless. Personally I don't think he should have allowed the players to have a week off, since then we've been completely off the ball and I don't even think it should have come as a surprise as the game is riddled with examples of teams losing their momentum from having a break. There may also have been an element of coasting into the final stages of the season, Top Six guaranteed, Hearts way back there somewhere, mostly likely a Dundee Utd v Celtic final therefore European qualification. The team needs a jolt or else what should have been a very good season might be seen by short sighted elements as a huge disappointment.

Not very many, might account for the 268 from the 4,268! I'd guess about 350 tops.

I'd play Ruddy until the end of the season. He's our best goalkeeper so why drop him when we will have some tough matches to play? Michael Fraser is no teenage novice. He's a reasonable experienced goalkeeper at SPL level so I don't really see the need to give him games at the end of the season.

The major problem today was the midfield. It was woeful and Falkirk completely dominated in that department until they decided to fall back and defend.

Fraser made a few good saves. He gets my vote.

Brown's first serious mistake - giving the players a week off. I'm sure he won't be doing that again!

Forbes didn't play well but I think its very unfair to single a player out today. The whole team was garbage.

Uniformly awful performance probably our worst since the Llanelli match. Almost straight for the kick off it was obvious the players were mentally on holiday. They just weren't switched on and they really need to go away tonight and think about that. Are they happy just to be in the Top Six and now they are going to go through the motions? If that's the case, can they let me know so I don't have to pay quite a lot of money to watch completely unprofessional rubbish. Obviously I was hoping for an equalizer but honestly we didn't deserve it, not by a long way. Our best player today against the bottom team in the league was a sub goalkeeper that only played 45 minutes. Says it all.

I dunno, I'd say that strikers that have a 1 goal per 12 games ratio are welcome at Fir Park! Falkirk will be scrapping for their life but their record this season is fairly poor especially defensively. All the indicators point to a Motherwell victory but stranger things have happened....hopefully not tomorrow though! I think we will actually be out to prove a point tomorrow after the Dundee United match. We scored three against a much more defensively robust Hearts side last time so I'd expect us to score at least a couple tomorrow.

First of all we lost £700,000. If what was reported at the time about the deal was true £500,000 of that would be from the Setanta deal and £200,000 from other factors although I don't believe we actually budget for a Top 6 finish and if we do, we shouldn't.

Great news. Doesn't get enough credit as far as I'm concerned and its no coincidence that he's been a first pick with every manager we've had over the last 10+ years. Even Gannon! With any luck, maybe with a couple of Euro runs and a glorious Scottish Cup win, he can add to his already impressive club appearance total!

Top Six in any season is a big achievement. This is off the top of my head but I think in my time as a supporter Tommy McLean only managed it twice, McLeish once, Butcher twice, McGhee once and now this season. So that's only seven times in 25+ years unless I'm forgetting one.

I don't really get this. For a start there was no trophy at stake and secondly at least in that Celtic match we turned up and gave them a game. I was gutted at the Celtic match but at least you could walk away with your head held high - not something you could do at the League Cup Final.

Yep, I have our highest league position as 4th but I only update after all the games per round have been played. We've spent 5 weeks this season in 4th position. It's one of those odd things that our lowest league position this season was into Brown's excellent run. After 2 wins and a draw we dropped to 7th for a week, the only time we've been out of the Top Six this season.
