  1. We've done that pretty much through the whole Robinson era. So it's down to the manager or the players completely ignore him. Either way is inexcusable.
  2. If you play a 4-2-3-1 with two sitting midfielders and three attacking midfielders you need a forward that can hold the ball up (Johnson can't), you need wide players that are going to come inside (Frear doesn't do that, Ariyibi didn't show much evidence of that either), you need your most creative midfielder in the forward attacking row (Turnbull wasn't) and you need two dedicated defensive midfielders (Campbell was on the bench). A total cluster fuck.
  3. Manager says he knew the two new players weren't fit but played them any way. Also describes us as a 'work in progress' 29 matches into the season.
  4. This, really. Robinson has had so many chances and he's not built on any of them. At this stage there is simply no reason to believe we can go forward for any more than a game or two before the standard bilge returns.
  5. Hastie, came in, scored a goal. Something most of the players can't do over a season, or if they can, barely.
  6. We've been horrendous since November bar a flukey Scottish Cup run.
  7. Ross County more or less played a full side against out Colts and our Colts were far better than our first team today. And it wasn't even one of the Colts better performances.
  8. We are a team completely bereft of footballing acumen because we have a manager completely bereft of footballing acumen. Robinson is a plague of locust and when he's finished there will be nothing left. Nothing but a barren wasteland whence once football existed. The first half was poor but the second half was atrocious. The first goal was over due when it came. Ross County should have won by more than two. Who thought Turnbull should play along side McHugh in a defensive midfield position? Who thought McCormack was fit to play? Who thought that Danny Johnson could play up front on his own? And our touch, our play, our style, our ability, our imagination, our creativity, our defending, our overall attitude..... Honestly, I've ran out of vitriol. I having nothing new to say, no new way to describe it. It's just the same old shite every week. If we don't beat Hibs midweek Robinson should be fired. The whole club needs cleaned out with a high power hose and guys like Hastie, Livingston and James need to step up. We need football people at the club. Please, please, please get them in.
  9. Playing Turnbull in a DM position is a total waste of his ability. McCormack looks about the same weight as Kris Boyd despite being 6 inches shorter. Ross County edged the first half for me.
  10. "ize" is a sign you've gone full American.
  11. Bit of a potted career so far but we needed a right winger and we've got one. The lad has a chance to impress, hopefully he takes it.
  12. This. I mean Calvin Miller is probably ahead of Livingstone as a player right now but there is a reason for that, we've not played Livingstone. Bringing in Calvin Miller for 5 months on loan just sets Livingstone even further back and long term makes no sense.
  13. McCormack in, Bowman out is a big step in the right direction. I just hope we don't have a similar situation to the Ciftci signing last season where the guy was so far off fitness it wasn't until the end of the season that he started looking like a player.
  14. We've kept 3 clean sheets in 20 league matches. Even if you only concede 1 you still need to score 2 to win. So I think it is a problem, especially since we are lacking creatively.
  15. Frear was our best player but it's hard to ignore someone who scores two goals, including the winning goal. Think I have to go for Aldred.
  16. You never know, we might start playing a 4-3-3.
  17. McCormack might be getting on and a difficult player but I'll take him over Wayne Grafter from Glipton Grasshoppers.
  18. Deserved win with a much better second half performance. Was noticeable that we actually kept the ball on the ground in the second half and Turnbull coming on gave us much more composure on the ball. Frear gave us a ball down the left hand side and Campbell looked more like himself. Accies didn't trouble us much in the second half but I'll still slightly concerned about us defensively. Overall though a win and a decent performance to end the first half of the season. We should not forget though that we have a lot of improvement work to do. Hopefully the squad will get freshened up a bit and we get a some more quality in.
  19. Good finish from Aldred. We've had a lot of corners but i think Accies have looked more dangerous coming forward. Defensively we've not been very good and Accies are cutting through us too easily. Midfield no real quality and the two strikers aren't really in the match. Similar to the last match, we've played worse but there is so much that needs to improve.
  20. With all the serious head injuries recently I'm amazed I've not seen anything about wearing rugby style caps. And with the research into brain injury from heading a ball I think it's only a matter of time before some kind of head protection comes in.
  21. He's played in 4 out of the last 6, mostly as a sub. There are loads of players in Celtic's inflated squad that get much less game time - Hendry, Scott Allan, Benyu, Compper, Gamboa, Kouassi, Mulumbu - so I don't see that happening.
  22. Dundee are releasing players left, right and centre so they are obviously going to strengthen during the break. St. Mirren will do also, as a lot of the Stubbs duds drift away. So the Dundee and St. Mirren teams could be radically different on the other side of the break. Will also be worth looking at our performance against Ross County in the Scottish Cup, as it looks like its going to be 2 from 3 in the Championship of which they are one of the challengers. A win today keeps Robinson safe for another 3 or 4 week spell of fixtures but if we lose the pressure is going to be on again. We started with 1 win in 8, form improved a bit with 3 wins but since then we are 1 win in 7 so if we fail to win today we've ended the first half of the season in as appalling form as we started it and Robinson can't really point to any improvement. The lack of goals or even goal scoring chances created lately against fairly modest teams is worrying.
  23. I think Hartley will be wheeled out over Maguire. If Turnbull doesn't make it exchange with Bigirimana. Other than that, pretty much.
