  1. Very good day for us. Win tomorrow and we are just about there.
  2. Was that not the 3-2 game under Eric black? I recall him playing left back against Rangers, I thought that was his debut.
  3. My two favourite Faddy goals for Motherwell. That performance came during a spell when him and Elliott were dynamite together. By that time there was little doubt that he was destined for the top. Then that goal at Hampden, without doubt one of my favourite moments supporting Morherwell, the celebrations were mental. We played Rangers off the park for most of that first half and his goal was magical. If Clarky hadn't fucked up it would probably have been one of the finest days in our history. His final goal against Thistle wasn't too shabby either. I miss Faddy.
  4. No point looking any further forward than the weekend. Beat Hibs and we will be hard to catch. Lose with Celtic to follow in a fortnight, then United would be sniffing blood.
  5. We could end up clinching our Champions League spot at Ibrox, that would be sweet.
  6. Clancy reminds me a wee bit bit of Brian McLean. He definitely has the attributes to be a good solid defender at our level. If he can keep his lapses in concentration to a minimium and curb his enthusiasm to get tore in about Old Firm players, we have a very capable centre half at our disposal. Him and Hutchison are a very decent partnership. He'll score for us on Sunday.
  7. Frustrates the life out of me but does recover from dips in form, even during the course of a game. No option but to play him next week with Jennings missing.
  8. Had a fair chunk of my Rangers winnings on Hibs. Fucking yaldi, didnt see that coming after 60 mins.
  9. We have beaten hibs twice this season. Get Murphy back in the starting lineup, tends to do the business against Hibs. Fuck knows who will end up at left back.
  10. Must win to get some confidence back. Going to be difficult without two key players though.
  11. Given his experience, I really thought McCall would have us up for these games against the Old Firm. His approach to such games have been a disappointing aspect of his management. Heard Craigan saying pre-match that McCall didn't have much to say this week as these games take care of themselves. Our record would suggest otherwise. Given what's at stake, we should have been bursting with belief today.
  12. They gave up bothering about the negative impact when they gave the Cooper away. You just have to look at the home support today, one of our lowest of the season when a win would have taken us joint second.
  13. How were we desperately unlucky? We done very little going forward after the 1st half hour and pretty much settled for a draw after MacGregors save for the cameras.

    Rangers

Humphrey caused a threat, albeit it was somewhat eliminated by Rangers reverting to a 442. Nobody really had a solid 90.
  15. McCalls post match interview as frustrating as the game. Our defeatist attitude in not pursing 2nd place may end up costing us third.
  16. Fuck all jammy about it. We shat it.
  17. Lasleys was never a yellow but he should have been booked earlier. He will be doing well to come out this with just a 1 game suspension.
  18. Could have been down to nine men. Fear the ref will be eager to balance things up in the second 45. We started pretty decent with Humphrey and Ojamaa causing bother but Rangers have looked better since reverting to a 442. Randolph all over the place today.
  19. Poor show from the club. Nauseating.
  20. Yeah I appreciate why Killie are doing it. Also admire them for canvassing opinion of their supporters before going ahead with the idea. Just find it a rather depressing state of affairs with the lenghts that provincial clubs go to, to accommodate the dominant duo.
  21. Kilmarnock offering 3 stands to Celtic for the upcoming league game tells you all you need to know about the rebel 10 mentality.
  22. I promised to stop getting excited about Rangers games after we got pumped 3-0 in August. We were flying in the league but managed to collapse again at the sight of blue jerseys. Then we had the trip to Ibrox at New Year, where we failed to turn up again against a front 3 of Healy, Fleck and Aluko. Hopefully we can do something on Saturday. I'd have been far more positive about our chances if we hadn't been so inept at Rugby Park. However, maybe the lack of expectation will benefit us. As for team selection, I hope we go with a midfield three. Really need to prevent them getting in their stride. While I've yet to be convinced by Carswell I'd put him in alongside Jennings and Lasley. I'd probably then go with a front 3 of Higdon, Ojamaa and Law, which is harsh on Humphrey. Ojamaa has became increasingly frustrating since his stunning performance against Hibs. If we weren't playing Rangers I'd be tempted to drop him. I suspect however that he has the character and belief to perform on the big occasion.
  23. £50 at 7//5. Yet to tell the Missus I've invested the ticket money and we will be watching it in the house.
