  1. He pissed me off a wee bit today, tryting to do too much and losing the rag with his team mates more than once, He cut a frustrated figure but it was understandable. He was getting no service from the midfield and he ended up going deeper and deeper, searching for the ball. If we go with a 3 man midfield next week, he will do the business in the final third.
  2. Wouldn't get carried away with last 15 mins. We piled pressure on but it was one long ball after another, higdon v a handful of giants. Humphrey should have been used a lot more, particularly after skinning the full back for the goal. And while murphy was poor they couldn't handle his pace, thought he deserved a 10 minute stint through the middle. Law got the goal but I thought he was awful.
  3. Thought Ojamaa was a petulant wee so and so today. Another Scott McDonald trait. Hammell didn't look march sharp,, hoofing the ball at every opportunity. Jennings carried the fight but was completely overrun by their 3 man midfield. Clancy had an up and down game but I really like him, deserves a new contract. Randolph motm for me, couple of good saves and his quick throws was probably our most creative outlet. Although it's only a matter of time until we lose a goal due to his footwork.
  4. I'm at the front of the queue when it comes to praising lasley bit he hasn't learned from his daft fouls over the years. Refs don't let him off as much as they used to. Hope Fyvie is alright, thought he looked very good on the ball today, We looking at a 3 or 4 game ban here?
  5. Stinking performance ,terribly naive tactics. Certainly weren't helped by Craigan/Hutchison injuries, nor the decision for the corner. However, we played completely into their hands with the long ball shite and poor discipline throughout. Better prepared team won. Lasley, Hutchison, Clancy all suspended for next week, Craigan possibly injured. Some challenge...
  6. Forgot Rae would be cup tied, that is pleasing. Just need to take care of Arnasen in the midfield. Bad feeling remains but if we play to our potential, we should blow them away. 'mon the 'well...
  7. Derek Weir would have a pivotal role to play. Far from out our control.
  8. Similar bad feeling. Aberdeen long overdue a result against us and there season pretty much hinges on this. Hope I'm a mile out.
  9. Sound s like there are going to be some decent crowds this weekend. 3000+ hibs fans, 3000 + Aberdeen and there are only 200 tickets left at tannadice. Hopefully we play our part as well.
  10. As much as it would hurt me and leave a huge void in my life, I would turn my back on Motherwell if they played any part in fast-tracking a debt free Rangers newco into the SPL. The argument shouldn't be around what Rangers bring to the table in terms of finance. If they are guilty of corruption, they must be suitably published. Thankfully, I think liquidation will be avoided and Rangers can remain in the SPL while paying back the debts that they recklessly accrued. Hopefully our opinions are heard.
  11. His career was almost over. It may well still be over. Of course I hope be can make a return at a half decent level but his knee has been in a fine mess. His history of groin and hamstring injuries since he was a kid doesn't help either.
  12. If we lost CL qualifier, we would be seeded for Europa playoff, I think.
  13. Has to be a sell out this game. Could be mental on and off the park. £2m on the go if we can somehow get through the qualifier?
  14. Faddy made a tremendous gesture and I would hope that servants like Lalsey and Hammell would contribute. However you can't expect palyers who are in and out of Motherwell in a couple of years to contribute.
  15. Petrie was banging on about Hibs new Season ticket offer on that debate last new. http://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/news/20120306/season-ticket-membership-201213_2262950_2635420
  16. Pretty much erased the cup final from my memory. Horrible day. As for season ticket, I gave up mine a few years back as a result of the McGhee Hearts nonsense. Quickly got used to picking and choosing my games so I doubt I'll ever bother with a ST in the foreseeable future.
  17. Really looking forward to this but nervous as well. Aberdeen are clearly on a solid run of form and Brown will have them well drilled. If Lasley and Jennings get the better of the midfield three of Rae, Arnasen and Fyvie/Hughes then Law, Murphy and Ojamaa should get plenty opportunities to run at them. Wouldn't be surprised if this goes to a replay.
  18. Great read. I can feel me getting swayed into this Well Society.
  19. Aye he has been injured. Likely to be back on the bench this weekend.
  20. Wish I had known about the bounce game and I'd have popped along. McHugh has certainly shown over the years that he knows where the goal is. It will be good to have him back in the bench, hopefully there is some scope to get him some game time during the run-in. From the wee clips I've seen if Erwin he looks like one that has a chance of making it.
  21. Yeah, United tend to have a mare after Houston's travels but given the game isn't until Monday, they have a wee bit more breathing space this time. On current form, united are our main threat but I'd be confident of us beating them if we met in a crunch game post split.
  22. Last time Hibs opened up a gap at the bottom, Dunfermline won 3-0 at Rugby Park. I expect them to be right up for it but if our approach is correct, our midfield should take control of the game. Wonder who will come in for Lasley this time mind you. Don't want us to give St Johnstone and Dundee United any encouragement by dropping points here.
