Interesting to read that Dalziel is dominated by 'Well fans, I didn't quite appreciate that. During my time at Coltness, we were hugely outnumbered by Rangers fans. Brought up in Camby and flew the nest to Cleland. Parents come from Motherwell and went to Dalziel. All going well, I'd like to end up in Motherwell.

Weather was always going to ruin the game today.. Time for McCall to take the shackles off when we are playing at Fir Park.

Dundee United seem to have turned the corner a wee bit, albeit they didn't deserve to beat Hearts on Saturday. We know they can prove to be stuffy opposition and have a decent threat going forward. Hopefully we don't give them a chance to settle though, rip into them from the 1st minute and blow them away. A repeat of the Scottish Cup game would go down a treat.

The pricing incentive prevents any meaningful findings from our participation in the Friday night games however the atmsophere generated may encourage greaters numbers to be interested in Friday evening games in the future. As for the Hibs support, I think they will come through in healthy numbers if they make a half decent managerial appointment beforehand.

Excellent offer from the club. I was already looking forward to the Propsect of taking a half day and making the most of the hours leading up to Friday night football but this should ensure a very decent atmosphere under the floodlights. Well done Motherwell.

Every game means so much at the moment thanks to our form and the fact that the Old Firm remain in sight. It's been a long time since I've felt like this following Motherwell and there is a sense of something special being on this season. However, we should look no further than the Dundee United game as we have some patchy home form to address. Can't wait for the weekend.

Was that game at Parkhead not a different campaign? I remember him coming off the bench in Dortmund while still with us and he went on to score against the Dutch a few months later, can't remeber if he scored before that. McCart was capped if IIRC, midweek friendly springs to mind. Was Martin never capped? I remember him being in a squad and there is the story of him wearing his Scotland shirt to Euro 96. McKinnon is probably the best I've seen that never made it into the Scotland setup.

He seems to have a bit of skill with that one foot though, unlike many other SPL players. Definately worth a look to see if he is equipped to deal with the pace and physical aspect of our game.

Aberdeen are long overdue a result against us and I think Brown is starting to get to grips with his squad. I fear we will struggle with their physical presence, 2-0 Aberdeen.

This particular book has lived up to it's cover. Completely out of tune.

He can be a joy to watch in the warm-ups. I do expect Higdon to socre a couple of belters from outside the box, definately in his locker.

I wouldn't say Murphy was undisciplined. He spent the majority of the match tracking Celtic's right back. No wonder he was knackered. We could do with a slightly more balanced playing style where the grafters graft and our creative players are allowed to focus their energy on creating. Murphy is slowly being destroyed imo.

Pretty sure it was Watt that caught they eye when we had that bounce game with Casagolda and Kerkar. Fancy heading along to the Scottish Cup game if it's Friday.

Nobody outstanding but I'd probably say Hammell just about deserved it, he kept Forrest very quiet and was comfortable in possession as usual. Clancy would have been in with a shout if he hadn't been sent off. I heard Nickly Law got Sponsores motm. Really good footballer but the tactic of him driving for the corner flag is wearing a wee bit thin, particularly when he doesn't have a left foot to cross it in with.

We gave it a good go today and came up just short. I despise they bastards but they just about deserved it for taking the game to us in the 2nd half. In saying that, we engineered two excellent opportunities that were thwarted by the all too familiar sight of Law and Murphy hesitating in front of goal. Good solid performances from just about everybody but we are lacking in a couple of key areas.

Motherwell tried to punt him all summer, seeking in the region of £800k.

Rarely will you get a good atmosphere for a noon kick-off but it might be a wee bit better than normal given that Celtic are there for the taking. If this had been under the floodlights the atmosphere would have been electric.
