  1. While we are well aware that it costs in excess of £20 to get into an SPL away game, it would have been nice to have seen the club thank the fans for turning up in their numbers in the last round, particularly when many are forking out on new strips, season tickets, away trips etc. If we had kept the prices at £15 and were in with a shout after the first leg I reckon we would have been very close to an attendance of 10,000. Very little chance of that now. No concession price for pensioners or students either? PR blunder.
  2. Disagree with that, just about every Motherwell and Dundee United fan will have the opportunity to see their team at home. Much fairer to broadcast the away legs.
  3. Pretty shite if the BBC don't screen our away leg and likewise with Dundee United should they be in contention come the 2nd leg. Or will we pay the price for Celtic dropping into the same competition?
  4. Is Pollock looking the real deal then? Capable of making an impression on the 1st team this season?
  5. Are we talking Jamie McCluskey former Hibs winger?
  6. It's probably been mentioned earlier in this thread but I wasn't aware that Hibs played Odense in the 2006 Interdiddy cup. No idea how much Odense have improved since then but my Hibs mate says there wasn't much between the teams. Hibs went out on away goals.
  7. Halsman scored in a 3-1 victory today over East Stirling to open the league campaign with 3 points.
  8. Given our constraints, getting us to this stage of Europe has been a tremendous achievement by Brown, Knox, Young and the players. I'd like to think they will be rewarded with a couple of signings. While the Odense match will not be the money spinner Boyle may have been looking for the financial incentive on offer to beat this mob is greater than anything we have ever played for. Time for Dempster and Boyle to pull the strings.
  9. So we don't get divided into pots tonight I take it?
  10. You'll get a ticket for the South Stand.
  11. Nah, now wheesht. Lets focus on the job in hand.
  12. I'm no scared to have a dig at the club but the ticket office has improved dramatically in recent years. Tweed pretty much hit the nail on the head.
  13. It's the apparent backtracking that concerns me. I'm pretty sure Brown was given his budget at the end of May but the goalposts appears to have moved since then on a number of occassions.

  15. While far from priority, a box to box midfielder would be nice. Could do with a bit of creativity and goal threat from the role Lasley is currently playing in.
  16. For the majority of the season, I expect Humphrey to be an impact player, coming on with 20-30 minutes to go and causing havoc with his pace. At some point I'd like to think he will have a purple patch like most wingers and CB will have no option but to give him a starting berth for a few weeks. If he continues to work hard, he has the potential to be an Ivan Sproule type player. Like Sproule however, I doubt he will ever offer a degree of consistency.
  17. Wee buzz about the place when I went for tickets just before lunchtime. Queue must have been about 20 deep and there was a steady stream of fans continuing to turn up when I departed.
  18. International week before the SPL kicks off then the playoff round takes place the following 2 Thursdays. Draw next Friday.
  19. Just looking at the starting lineup from that Hibs game, there wasn't much dig about the midfield was there. Attack, attack, attack.
  20. I don't think it could get much bigger than taking 5k+ 'Well fans to Anfield.
  21. Woods will never be forgiven for that. Didn't want to go to School for a week after that.
  22. Deligthed for Murphy. Looked a class act when he first came into the team and has showed signs of brilliance since for Motherwell & Scotland under 21s. Such a composed finisher. Fingers crossed he can have a really good season and show that he is one of Scotland's finest talents.
