The more I think about Brown's comments regarding Reynolds the more I think there is scope for optimism. Brown isn't daft so I doubt he would be so open to the media about selling one of our best players if there wasn't good reason for him doing so. I wouldn't be surprised if he has got a couple of 'quality' players lined up that are all but done deals if the money is right. Hence, the eagerness to make sure clubs are aware of Reynolds availability. If the budget was as tight as some fans fear, I don't think Brown would have stayed on.

If you've got two holding midfielders you don't need another tracking back. Let the class players do their work at the right end of the pitch.

If he genuinely has the ability that his early form suggested then he could be an absolute gem of a player. Indeed, if all he was lacking last season was fitness and confidence, I'd be tempted to build the team around him. You don't necessarily need pace, particularly when you have a cultured left peg like his. Looking at our squad just now we have a bit of depth in defence and midfield. Therefore 352 could be the way ahead. If Forbes was to play behind the 2 strikers he could be dynamite.

Tend to agree with the consensus that the price could have been slightly more appealing. I imagine you will struggle to get much more than 5000 for a game in the middle of July. I'm sure the club looked into making it slightly cheaper but obviously the sums didn't add up.
