  1. I did, with about 10 other people max.

Sad decline in numbers and purpose in the Trust meant I was in two minds if I would bother my arse going up. I thought but, after all the work I had put into the Trust at the start, along with the work of several posters on here, that it would be sad to see it fall by the wayside.

Basically, I offered to bring in 5 new board members if Martin Rose were to step down as Chairman. Martin was not willing to take up this offer and refused to resign. I've offered up for 5 of us to attend the next board meeting and for one of us to stand against him.

For me, the Trust now needs a new leader, a new purpose, new members and even a new name. If none of this happens then the Trust will fade further into obscurity.

Two positives to report but are that the Uncle Phil memorial has been comissioned and the artists have started work. Also, £7k has been transfered to the club for the Disabled Enclosure.

  2. I brought up this point not to long ago, the trust (MARTIN ROSE) went back on HIS word saying to a certain person that they would pay for a scanner for club, now this was said after Uncle Phil passed away, I was then PM's by a member of the trust board asking who he said this to, I didn't mention the other person's name but I have now been proved correct.

Martin Rose should do the decent thing and stand down from the trust board, then you may see new members and also more help coming on board.

I don't have a problem pointing out that you PM'ed me, and I nearly quit when you did there and then. The only reason I didny is because you won't tell who you apparently heard Martin say this to.

Posting that up here is like acting Billy Big Baws but if he actually did say that, why no tell me who he said it to? I've seen the email trail from Flow's request (via Frazzle) and Martin's response was that the Trust should debate the issue before agreeing to it. So you've no been proved correct.

As for if he should stay on? No chance. The Trust should be wound up or he should stand down and allow different folk to give it a go. I'll no be one of them but.

  3. I said before the first league game - we have the 4th best team in Scotland for the season ahead. Hibs and the squirm are stronger. The Tims have a "squad" and for that reason alone will walk to the title. The h**s probably have a better 11, but injury's will cost them the title and if they had a really bad run, possibly even 2nd place. For that to happen but, Hibs need to stay injury free all season.

For us, 3rd or 4th is possible. Most likely, 4th. Would be delighted with Top 6.

  4. Aye the cooper looked sparse but the overall attendance was about average for a Rangers game. The early kick off probably put a few folk off going and if it wasn't on the telly would have easilly got above 10,000. Good decision.

  5. Went for the Plastic man the day. By far and away oor best player this season and deserves todays award for rapeing Forrest Whittaker 4 times in the one attack.

Jennifer Saunders was none too shabby either.

  6. Here's the problems with the organisation as I see it...

    • Meeting arrangement is shambles. They email round a day or two before a potential meeting. I don't check my email everyday. I twice checked my emails a day or two after a meeting to see I had missed one. No one phones round to check everything is ok. In fact, in my two spells as a board member I canny mind talking to another board member on the phone except Speedie for more social reasons.
    • A calender of when the meetings were to be held should have been drawn up at the start of the year and published for members to see incase they wanted to come along too.
    • The current board is all people who were on the original board, so no even 2nd or 3rd term people - correct me if I'm wrong on this but probably 5 or 6 term people noo! Andy Ross is the only bit of "new blood" left. The folk on the board just now need to consider changing things themself - i.e. standing down or swapping roles so that new members can make a difference
