  1. John Davies, cant beleive he ever pulled on C&A!
  2. A lot of talk about Moulty leaving and understandably so. For me though I think he should stay regardless of the interest. For me players find their level and for me Moult has found his. Adored by the fans, proven scorer and he wont miss his rent on his current wage. I know he and his agent will maybe aspire to bigger and better but is the grass always greener? Ok so he could land a move in the window, be sucessful. Fair play and well done. But what if it goes like stoke? For me its sign on here, make a more than good wage and legend!!
  3. For me pace in the wide areas will be key. I'd be inclined to give Blyth a start and go with getting balls into the box for him. His added height will be more advantageous. We will need to cope with not having the ball for periods so the midfield will need to put a shift in chasing everything down. If we can limit what they offer going forward and break with pace I think we can take something from this
  4. He was on off the ball 2/7 and the impression I got from him on the radio was he was looking at getting back into the game, with the view of being first team coach/manager, but it certainly didn't sound like he would be ruling himself out as an assistant at any club. I may be wide of the mark on that as two weeks ago is hazy in my head. It remains to be seen who McGhee appoints but imo it is someone of that ilk that we need to be looking at
  5. With first team players dependant on one or more players moving on, there still remains the outstanding position of assistant manager to be filled. McGhee has said there have been a dozen good applicants, for me I'd like to see someone like Gary Holt - presuming he will apply, which given he's unemployed is a reasonable assumption - youthful but with a good pedigree and should McGhee only see out his current contract, an ideal replacement
  6. Motherwell quintet warned they will have to take pay cuts to stay - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36260370
  7. Kris Boyd will sign for Motherwell until the end of the season before returning to Rangers
  8. I never intended for Hateley to be dropped, fully expect him to sit deep in a 5 man midfield next season, or deep in a 4-4-1-1.
  9. Thats the second time I've seen Ramsden and he looks ok, not sure if id play him centre half with Hutch and Sauders fully fit, might be a good bet for RB with saunders taking CB along side hutch imo
  10. Topic came up at todays game, I recolect Stevie scoring a headed goal from either a knock out then back in from a corner or freekick, don't remember who against or when, would say it was in his first spell with us. May even have fabricated the whole event. Hoping someone with a better memory than us stella fuelled few could answer
  11. Heard a elter of a stort tonight, might be pish but then again might have some truth. If "The Rangers" get voted out of the SPL on Monday, not a given but if the fans perspective is taken then there will be oneteam from glasgow in thre SPL. What I have heard is that "The Rangers" will buy clyde to ensure at least a place in the SFL Thoughts ??

  13. My thoughts exactly Pepper, if the newco are allowed to join the league simply because of financial reasons and forget the morallity of the issue then I for one wont be watching Scottish football again, and I believe that I will be one of many across the country. There is only one option, let rangers and their newco die
  14. Craig Brown - bigger salary at the dons, consistent bottom 6 of SPL and no cup runs, not Euro footie. = negative move Jim Gannon - Who - sacked from 'Well currently at stockport ion the conference. = negative move Mark McGhee - dons then struggled currently at bristol rovers. = negative move Mo Malpas. 1 season of pure dross at fir park, sacked an currently assistant to TB at inverness. = negative move Terry Butcher. Left for Oz, never worked out. Currently at Inverness, regular bottom 6, no cup runs, no European football. = negative move Eric Black, bottled it when we went into admin, currently assistant at relegated blackburn, couple of caretaker roles, no jobs as manager. = negative move Billy Davies, sacked by 'Well, did ok with broon at PNE as assistant but at a club in the lower leagues of England. Did reasonably well at Forrest, again lower leagues. No cups no leagues, no Europe. = negative move Harri Kampman, sacked by 'Well fter a season, went back to Finnish lower league, currently unemployed. = negative move Alex McLeish, destroyed a good 'Well side after one season. left well for hibs and took them down, won the first division with a SPL team, somehow blagged the job at ibrox - cheap option imo - did ok with money to spend in a league with one main rival. Once he had spent on poor players the fans turned and he was sacked from ibrox. Took the Scotland job as no-one else would touch it with a barge pole. Couldn't do any worse or break it with his own signings. Failed to qualify for Euros and quit. Took a reasonable Birmingham out of the EPL - sacked. Crossed the city to Villa almost done the same - sacked. Currently unemployed = checkered managerial career that appears to have been based on poor judgement by clubs rather than a proven managerial track record. = Fud
  15. For me, McCall only has to look at how successful managers are after they leave the mighty well. Once you managed the dossers the only way is down
  16. Kaven sneddon kraska jones may Roddie curcic malcolm nevin Halliday burns
  17. How do I like going to away matches? Mortal !!
  18. I'd go for Jimmy Calderwood, not in a job just now, did well with Dunfermline and the manager stealing sheep. I think when he went to Killie he was already pishing in the wind and had no chance of doing anything other than fighting it out for first division footie
  19. Giles leaving the dossers for sheffield wednesday, what a coke !
  20. The White Pele returns! A true legend! I always thought that Pele was the black Stevie Kirk
  21. Saturday is service, not a day to miss cause Saturday is service daaaay
  22. We know Joe Wark He's the king of the west He plays at Firk park and is one of the best He'll drink all your whisky and newcastle brown The Motherwell boys are in town na na na...........................
  23. For me the fact that any referee has come out and tried to defend this decision tells me they know there has been a serious mistake made. This for me is an attempt to diminish the importance of the decision as it could have a bearing on the final league placings and as such has a financial bearing to at least seven of the twelve clubs involved in the SPL. To blame Forbes is utterly inexcusable and I would hope the Motherwell establishment are looking at the slander law as this "referee" has clearly brought question to the players attitude and proffesional conduct. Dougal's reasoning for laying the blame away from the linesman has one major flaw in my opinion, if the linesman has looked along the line and saw that Craigan is onside then he must also see Forbes also onside as he has to look beyond the first bank of defenders / attackers to make this judgement, to "lose concentration" as he has put it is nonesense unless the linesman has no short term memory and then it raises why he is allowed to officiate proffesionally. For Forbes to come from an offside position, he must by definition been offside when the ball was knocked goalwards but the linesmans view from the touchline could never have presented this fact.
  24. Same line up as tonight, same performance, better officials - fucking cricket score - mon the well !!!!!
