  1. OK. Take it your getting the train over on Thursday morn. I've not booked the train as I might see if there's enough of us at the station to get a group ticket that one of the Danish lads talked about earlier in this thread. Seems to be the cheaper option.
  2. Booked into the Cabinn City(copenhagen) on the Wednesday night and the Cabinn Odense on the Thursday. Received confirmation of the bookings by way of an Email from the hotels but wasn't asked for card details. Is that the same with others booked into these hotels? Thanks

First game of the season saw Annan win 3-1 at home to East Stirlingshire with Jordan Halsman getting Annan's second goal. He played the 90 and his volleyed finish at the back post was well taken. He looks confident and comfortable on the ball and definately adds quality and energy to our left side. Although Steven Lawless didn't get on, he's been involved in the pre-season games, looks to be settling in and will get plenty time on the pitch. Good luck to both the lads.
  4. and i for one have used your advice to plan my journey and can only thank you for the info. I'll certainly stand you a large malt at Fir Park. Really looking forward to a good time in Odense.
  5. Thanks for that Rinky - I'm booked for Thurs Night.
  6. Two going via Manchester to Copenhagen - Easy jet £150
  7. Sorry had to laugh. Yep, easily accessible, good beer and friendly locals would do me so discount Istanbul teams, Feyenoord, Napoli and Man City. Don't see the attraction in pulling clubs with "mental fans". For mental fans read crazy knife wielding loons ready to make a name for themselves at the expense of visiting fans... said Bladesman If we get through I hope its not Liverpool for all the reasons Eddie highlighted. Brugge would be perfect for me. A booze cruise and then beer heaven. We would also get to travel through England on masse promoting our club's profile.
  8. Brilliant news. Well done MFC.
  9. Spot on Diggle - I have a good feeling about the lad. From what I've seen, he looks to have all the attributes to excel for MFC. Expect him to have to do a little more in the way of saving shots tommorrow night.

Praise should indeed be given to MFC for all the points you've mentioned above. But the crux of it is that despite the successes of last season - european football, money coming in from players being sold/manager leaving, new strip sales, reduced wage bill/promotion of youth players and a suprising top six finish (surely at the start of the year the club did not budget for a top six finish), we still made a loss. Are the cost of pitch repairs responsible for last years loss?

    Ins & Outs

Thankyou for the kind words. It's a fantastic wee club on the up. There's a few of us who make our way up to Motherwell on a regular basis and if anyone's wishing to chalk off a tidy little scottish ground and visit Annan, the hospitality you mention is not unusual.

    Ins & Outs

I shall keep you up to date about their progress as my two footballing loves are Annan Athletic and Motherwell. I was told about the possibility of loans coming from Motherwell by Annan's captain Andy Aitken the morning after the Euro game. (He knew I followed the Well but asked me to remain tight lipped about them as I respectfully did) I believe it was going to be Smith and Halsman but that changed after Smith's appearance on Thursday night.
  13. Looks good to me. Almost worked for the dutch.

Sounds good. Anything that provides an alternative to i, spy with the kids on the journey south after the game is most welcome.

Good luck to Ruddy and thanks for the memories. He'll be a big loss but from what I hear and read our new man between the sticks is also a player. For Ruddy and Coke, coming to Motherwell has been a positive step for both their careers and provides great press for future loan deals. I am still hopefull SAF will offer his old friends Brown and Knox a loan or two.

    Enjoy the 45 mins. What?
  19. I think the crowd for this fixture might surprise us and I would lay a little wager on their being over 8000. The kids offer alone is going to add a significant number.

I walked out at the mentioned 6-2 and yes I am gutted. It's been a long drive home -100 odd miles and I've felt like shit the entire journey. I intended staying till the end and applauding the players but was so dissappointed with our performance I wanted to get out. Sorry but that's just how I felt.
