If we lose this, and make no mistake that is a distinct possibility, will we ditch Kettlewell?

There’s not the obvious difference in quality between the teams - says a lotÂ
most of our positive play comes from gent making runsÂ
Agreed. It’s so obvious that we have no creativity from midfield and we’ve only got one recognised striker on the park. Honestly to say we’re poor is an understatement.

We are so laboured in possession and the only football being played is by Alloa who are quite neat and tidy on the ball. I really fear for us here.
-
In 15 competitive matches against Alloa we’ve won 11, drawn 3, lost 1 and scored 40 goals and conceded 11.
Surely a home win? Â Ah but remember Albion Rovers!Â

Have we? Surely Monty replaces Pape Souare?Â
Celtic won’t be allowing Montgomery to come to us just to warm the bench and will be expecting him to play from the get go. As for where he fits into Kettlewell’s plans that’s anyone’s guess.
Like a few others I’m not for taking Halliday. No harm to the guy but he’s been a journeyman his entire career and at 32 he’s at the fag end of it. If Slattery hadn’t gotten injured we’d not be showing an interest. For me, the fact Livi, Accies and Ayr are the “others club” reported to be interested, speaks volumes and we should pass.

Just another bawheid in a long list of bawheids.

He didn't mention in his statement specifics about the YouTube video either, did he? It will be a multi-faceted approach. I pretty much guarantee this to be the case, because for it not to be would be a complete farce.Â
And as much as our board maybe doesn't have the best track record of late, they're not absolute morons.
Yes, but how do you get the word out that the club is seeking additional investment? The Chairman and CEO making a statement isn't going to do anything to get said statement in front of people, is it?Â
As I've said already, it will more than likely be a multi-faceted approach. The social media campaign is designed to get the club and our message in front of people.
The video has been seen almost 2.5 million times on Twitter, which is an excellent return considering the club account has 60,000 followers.Â
It has also been retweeted by Tom Green, bizarrely. An actor, director and comedian from Canada with a Twitter reach of around 300,000 of his own.Â
So, despite criticism of the video itself, we cannot deny that it's doing what it was created to do. Draw attention.
It's then the job of those who run the club to turn any interested parties drawn from that attention into a potential investor. That's where the written business plan and strategy document you mention would come into play.
None of the above can exist on an island. They all have to co-exist for the campaign to be successful.
Bowing to superior knowledge!!Â

You don't use social media to attract potential investors?
Yes that’s what I posted.

How do you advertise and seek out investors on social media without making it glaringly obvious you're looking for money?
That’s easy. You don’t. I think the statements made by the present Chairman and CEO in December, albeit rather clumsily, made the point the club was seeking additional investment. This raised the obvious question as to what the strategy would be to do so.  In this respect it would be reasonable to expect that the club would have a written business plan or strategy document as to what their approach was going to be to attract such investment.

I seriously doubt that one single YouTube video is the outcome of the "large amount of work and numerous discussions" that have taken place.
It'll be part of it, but it won't be the only thing that's done.
As far as I can tell, there was nothing in the statement from the outgoing interim CE about other things being done. However if you have information or knowledge to the contrary please feel free to enlighten.

December 2023 Outgoing Club Chairman statement: “We have undertaken a large amount of work and held numerous discussions - the final stages of a fund-raising initiative are almost complete and will be ready to be shared early in the new year.”
So this is the outcome. FFS it would’ve been less embarrassing if they had announced they were going to have a series of bucket collections.

I hadn’t to be honest so I had to google search there. It seems that his last involvement with the SFA was in 1957 and I would hazard a guess is now probably deceased? So that being the case how can he have any influence on the game and what goes on in 2024?
When he was chairman of the SFA both he and the SFA were thought “overtly biased” toward the blue half of Glasgow. I find it amusing that people now consider the situation has changed so that the green half is now favoured.

This is how Celtic get away with their control, manipulation and bullying of match officials and the wider Scottish game… attitudes like yours. People with their heads so deep in the sand that they can’t or won’t see that Celtic are the real problem. People that are so bitter and obsessed with Rangers that they can’t and won’t see Celtic for what they are.
There may have been a great deal of vilification by Rangers towards officials, governing bodies and other clubs in recent times, but it’s nowhere near on the same scale as the other mob and they certainly don’t have the same clout and control that they do either. Like I say, Celtic and Celtic alone caused a refereeing strike and managed to get a referee thrown out of the game for overturning a penalty decision. That was just once instance in a long line of Celtic driven bullying and manipulation of the Scottish game and to suggest that Rangers are anywhere near the same level as them in that regard, or more accurately have the same power and influence as they do is, to use your words “preposterous nonsense”.
I’m guessing that you’ve never heard of Sir George Graham.

Who was it? Gent was superb he just tired at the end due to his effort.Â
Agreed and he’s been doing that in every game since he’s become a first team pick.

As bad a run as we’ve been on (and it has been grim) it’s interesting to note we’re only 5 points behind Hibs - a city club with gates four times bigger than us and resources well above us.

a manager not trusting the kids.
I’m not going to criticise Kettlewell for this as I don’t think now is the time to bring youngsters into the team when we’re struggling. Better to wait until we’re out of the relegation mire and then give them game time.
-
Looks like Kettlewell set us up to sit-in deep hoping to hit on the break which is wee a bit surprising given Hibs home record this season which is no great shakes:
P9 W3 D3 L3 GF11 GA9
And as they’ve shown so far they are very shaky when put under any pressure.
-
We should remember that Theo Bair only turned 24 in August and this is only his 2nd full season in Scottish football. I believe if he gets  a proper run in the team he could develop into quite a decent player. He also seems to be a good foil for Biereth. They’re both still young and raw but there is definitely something to work on with them.

Some folk canny help themselvesÂ
The ends justify the means. The 2nd half has been utter pish as all we’ve done when in possession is heave the ball up the park!
-
Are we incapable of playing the ball on the ground? We’ve  allowed ourselves to become sucked into playing the way Livingston like - aerial and physical and we’re being dominated.
-
Livingston just can’t get to grips with Theo Bair’s running and movement. He’s come in for criticism, wrongly in my view, but when picked he always gives 100%.

-
He’s had the tombola out and with no midfield it looks like he’s opted for hoofball to the front three.  I really hope it works but I doubt it and If we lose surely the only question is will he be fired or will he resign.
-
Hull City are reportedly ready to let their 21-year old former Brighton left-back James Furlong go out on loan in January with us and several League 1 and League 2 clubs interested.

If we cannot get a much-needed win at home against our direct relegation rivals, which would take us to 16 games without a win, I would suggest that no manager deserves to remain in the job following that, regardless of whether replacement options are lined up.
I posed the question but I'm firmly of the same view.
