  1. Rangers are reported to be seeking around £20m for Nicolas Raskin. Nicolas Raskin Played 96 games for Rangers, scored 11 goals, has 15 caps and played twice at the 2026 World Cup. Elijah Just Played 35 games for us, scored 7 goals, has 46 caps, has played twice at the World Cup and scored twice. So using Rangers logic, Elijah Just must be in that bracket, so we should be looking for around £20m. 🤔
  2. There always seems to have been a mindset in British football that if somebody hasn’t played football or played at a high level, he won’t be any good as a manager - the show us your medals brigade. Well British football has been plagued for too long by ex-players who played at a high level and/or won medals but couldn’t run a bath. So let’s not condemn this guy before he’s started.
  3. Given that McInnes is the common denominator and you appear to have a fixation on him, take your pick, but since he’s now decided to hitch his wagon to the Castle Greyskull Orcs then maybe, them. However if you really are a dosser start behaving like one and stop posting drivel.
  4. I think you may be supporting the wrong club mate!
  5. Spot on. Berthel Askou was a breath of fresh air in the league last season and this guy might have the same effect.
  6. I’m also too young to have seen Willie Hunter playing but my dad said he was the most skilful of the Ancell Babes forwards. Like a few posters, I’d say Vic Davidson is the closest in build and playing style to Elijah Just. The shimmy king. Bobby Russell runs him close.
  7. Grizzly, Brilliant. Probably went right over most heads on here but it certainly made me chuckle. Um Bongo, Um Bongo, they drink in the Congo.🤣🤣
  8. Ugh, that sounds painful.😂
  9. Looking at this guy’s record we’d be better off with Arthur Lowe!!
  10. I’ve a suspicion Max Rogers is going to get the gig.
  11. I remember we beat AGF Aarhus 1-0 in a pre-season friendly before the 1974/75 season. It was part of a 5-game pre-season tour in Germany and Denmark. We also beat St. Pauli, Hamburg and Aalborg.
  12. Robin van Persie sacked by Feyenoord. In charge for just 16 months. Managed 2nd place finish in the league and qualified for the Champions League. Next stop FP? 😂😂😂
  13. It wouldn’t surprise me if he ended up in Auld Reekie or Furriboots City!
  14. VAR in Scotland is hindered by one key factor - resources. In England they have a minimum of 28 cameras, sometimes more, available to VAR for each game. In Scotland there are a minimum of 6 cameras, sometimes going up to 12, for games selected for live broadcast. In Scotland, the estimated VAR costs are around £1.2M per season. The technology and operational expenses are funded by the 12 top flight clubs on a sliding scale according to their final league position. For a full season the estimated annual contributions from clubs are: - top placed teams £195K - lower ranked clubs £67K These contributions cover the stadium camera equipment, additional match officials and technology calibration. When asked recently about VAR, Ian Maxwell, CEO at the SFA said “There is a narrative that we have VAR-lite and that it’s a cheap VAR system but we have exactly the same VAR system as over 50% of European nations with the same technology and number of cameras.” It would be interesting to know which European nations he’s referring to - perhaps the likes of Luxembourg, Lichtenstein, San Marino, Gibraltar and the Faroe Islands! 😏
  15. Wednesday 16th May 2026 Motherwell 2-3 Celtic On 22nd May 2026 The Scottish Football Association (SFA) Key Match Incident refereeing panel ruled that Celtic should not have been awarded a last-minute penalty in the above match. On 29th May 2026 The SFA’s Head of Refereeing, Willie Collum said the decision to award a last minute penalty to Celtic in the above match was correct. Does the SFA Head of Refereeing not talk to the members of the SFA KMI Panel? On this evidence, clearly not! I wonder if they realise how stupid and incompetent this makes them look.
  16. According to previous rumours, we rejected an offer of £3.75M which included ‘add-ons’ from Anderlecht. Apparently they really want to sign him so you would imagine that they will come back with an increased offer.
  17. Exactly my point. It’s way past time that we stopped pussyfooting around them and their obnoxious fans.
  18. Easy solution - when we play the Bigot Bros at FP, put a premium on their ticket prices, say £50 to help pay for any damages that they cause.
  19. Players always come and go and that’s just the nature of football. For smaller clubs like ours, the fallout from this, can be very hurtful as it’s hard to find replacements. Having said that, I believe that the most important element is the manager. It’s to be hoped, that if and when JBA leaves, that having gone down the continental route the last twice, that the club will continue with that. Having seen how football should and can be played we do not want to return to the garbage served-up by some of the previous incumbents.
  20. I’m not sure, but I don’t think he was on a ‘fixed-term’ contract. I think it may have been a 1-year rolling contract so I don’t know if there will be a huge sum due to us in compensation.
  21. I’ve no idea but I would think you’re not far off the mark at that figure.
  22. I’d be really gutted if JBA does leave us but if he does go, I’d prefer it if he went to Toulouse rather than the pit belts. Rumours that the salary on offer at Toulouse is £1 million per year. If that’s true then he’d be foolish not to want to go there. It’s a sad fact of life for small clubs like ours that success has its down side too.
  23. Sorry mate but it was Said’s fault he should’ve cleared the ball in the first instance instead of opting but to pass it back to Sparrow and put him under pressure. There’s a time to play and there’s a time to clear it out and that fell into the latter and Said should’ve done that.
