  11. He turned down a deal to stay down south http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-features/10/oldham-athletic-news/57920/jones-come-and-get-me-latics? Also, it sounds like we're trying to sign Gunning permanantly http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11676_7008351,00.html?
  12. Just read this on Wiki about Abel; 'In July 2008, he played a trial game with English League Two side Bradford City against Guiseley, which Bradford lost 2–1' I take it this was when McCall was in charge
  13. http://twitter.com/#!/Walkerpw Walkerpw Paul Walker Rotherham midfielder Nicky Law agrees to join Motherwell on 2 yr deal. But Millers may not receive compo for him as it's a cross border move
  14. Someone on ta board has said he's heard Saunders to Spurs, £750,000

  16. Scott Burns of the Daily Express has said on twitter we tried to get Dougie Imrie but couldn't afford him
  17. Michael Higdon? http://www.stmirren-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/higdon_linked_with_steelmen_680071/index.shtml? Motherwell are reported to be lining up a move for Saints striker Mchael Higdon. The big forward bagged 15 goals for the Buddies last season but is now out of contract. Higdon has been offered a new deal at Greenhill Road but his form in the last 12 months was always going to drum up interest from other clubs. He hs been linked with a move back down south, but Motherwell are the first club to be named in connection with the former Falkirk and Crewe man. Motherwell are on the lookout for a replacement for former Saint John Sutton, who has moved to Hearts, and could see Higdon as the man for the job. However, while the Fir Park outfit can probably offer him more than we can, it's unlikely they'll be the highest bidders.
  18. Jennings seemingly wants to stay; http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8943_6943940,00.html?
  19. We just didn't turn up. Feel sorry for Hutch, he played a blinder
  20. Mark Wilson not in Scotland squad due to injury, take it he won't be playing on Saturday either
  21. Last week Ross, with 13 Scottish caps, told BBC Scotland that he had never been "a top, top player". "I have been a decent player and I think the Championship or Scottish Premier League is my level and that is why I am back to achieve that again," he said. Refreshingly honest
  22. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ton/9412723.stm Didn't someone say this lad looks like he's going to be really good?
  23. Scotland for me, but as someone else said why choose anyway? I do like how WellDone summed it up about the spotlight on us in certain games. Living in Luton, its great going into work and loads of people coming up to me after the 6-6 game and such like and just thinking how nice it is that they all look out for the 'Well's results each week. But, as has been mentioned, Scotland pulls all the country together and gives us a feelgood factor when we get good results. It hasn't been said but if some people say Motherwell because of how Scotland aren't as good as we used to be, it does make me wonder if those people would also turn their backs on the 'Well if we went down to the 2nd or 3rd division and stayed there for a while. It does happen, I work with a Luton supporter who, as soon at they went into the Blue Square, he basically said 'F@ck 'em' and gave up his season ticket, even though they needed their fans more than ever
  24. Motherwell XI: Randolph, Saunders, Craigan, Hateley, Humphrey, Jennings, Sutton, Lasley, Jones, Hutchinson, Gunning
