  1. Too right not being happy.. What about Season Ticket holders like myself, that are exiled away that can't get there on a first come, first serve basis? Only way I can hope is for them to go on sale on a Sat before a match and can pop along, otherwise being 250miles away, midweek, will mean I miss out. Poor. Also, not like I am able to phone and get through, is it? But.. Heyho..

    Accies On Saturday

Sandwiched in between the Sky and Setanta deals were the BBC deal. And we had wins over Rangers and Celtic (Faddy on target in both, with Fagan also scoring against Celtic). We also beat Sheepies in the LC QF, on the Beeb. But, we have never won on Setanta unfortunately (possibly the worst Motherwell performance I have ever seen occurred on a Setanta broadcast - Pars Away - Malpas Era), although have drew 3 of the last 4 games against Rangers on Setanta.

    Accies On Saturday

That was my point. If you hadn't cut the top of my post and read from the start, you would have seen that I agree and that we would no doubt continue to use our recent "tactics" (and I use that word loosely) and play the ball from back-to-front. So, therefore playing Hughes would be pointless, and a midfield of no creativity with Las, McGarry and Fitzy would be adequate if we persevere with the over-the-top pish. A reminder of what I had said:
  4. People talk about Hughes and Porter being the most vital for next season to be tied up. Smith is by far the most important. You just have to look at other SPL teams and it just shows how difficult it is to pick up a keeper. Hibs - McNeil, MaKalamby - Absolutely dreadful, and I think every team relishes seeing MaCalamity on the teamsheet. Falkirk - Flinders, Olejnik - two loans from down south and both Falkirk fans heavily criticise, we have seen first hand Olejnik's mistake and Flinders mistakes against ICT the other week are apparently not just just a one-off. Caley - Esson, Fraser - neither can hold down a first team place at Caley, due to form and well injuries as well. Esson has never been first choice anywhere in his career. Hearts - Kello, Kurskis (going back to last season) - Error prone and more liable to throwing it into their own net than actually saving it Only really United with Zaluska and Killie with Combe would be properly satisfied with there keeper. Smith may have his faults, but I think there would be half a dozen teams in the SPL that would jump at the chance to sign him. Not to mention Championship Clubs. Far more important than Hughes and Porter. There are tonnes of Midfielders and Strikers out there, but getting the keeper right is the most vital component. I mean we could keep the other two and score barrels of goals but without a decent keeper it will be useless. Not confident with the way he is sounding, very similar to Roscoe, compare that to Combe's interview for Setanta, basically saying "gimme a contract and I will sign it, I am happy here".

    Accies On Saturday

We may as well drop Hughes. Yes, he is the most creative player in our team, and yes he can have a moment of brilliance to find a pass. But, the way this team is playing right now, we are bypassing the midfield and Hughes is playing a Houdini role for most of the game, while the ball sails about 20ft above his head. So, when the long ball doesn't work (which it hasn't) the opposition gain possession and we NEED midfielders then that can battle/tackle have a bit of dig about them and quickly win possession back, and in that case McGarry, Fitzy, Las are the best 3 to play in there. But, if we eventually realise that humping it clearly ain't working then we can easily fit Hughes back in the team and play the ball on the deck and through him. So, for a game like Accies, I would go with.. Smith Saunders (done nothing to justify being taken out the team, especially not for Quinn) Klimpl Reynolds Hammell McGarry (not that I think he is good enough to start, more a case of having the willingness to get stuck in) Las Fitzy (same boat as McGarry) Clarky (if fit, otherwise Murphy, we need the combination of pace, and height up front) Sutton Porter
  6. Yeah, normally to more accessable games, such as St Midden, Hearts, Killie, St J, in recent years. Somewhere as far and hard to reach as Inverurie will put some fans off. Despite this 500 is nowhere near enough, I reckon 1000 this time round would have done, but fair play to the Loco's for holding on to 2k for themselves.
  7. I totally agree, that was not my choice to play Keef at RB, I am merely suggesting and predicting what MMG would do, not what I would want to see. Whenever Quinn and McLean are absent then Keef is first choice RB. Especially as Boab was murder back there last season. Cost us two or three goals, Hibs and Utd (both away) spring to mind.
  8. Time for everything to click, and also bury the "live TV hoodoo" that hangs over us in recent years (bar playing Rangers of course, 3 draws out of 4 on TV with them). 3-0 for me, Clarky double and Porter tap in. I am guessing as per usual MMG will go with Keef at RB, instead of throwing Saunders in. So.. Smith Las Klimpl Reynolds Hammell McGarry Hughes Boab Fitzy Porter Clarkson With Sutton, Murphy in reserve if we need a goal.. Quite confident going into this, at Rugby Park, there was nothing between the side, and if we managed to keep 11 men on the park, we would have got a point or it could have been us that sneaked all 3. With home advantage and no Taouil (hopefully) and Fernandez, then Killie's creativity is non-existant and goal threat as well... so 3 points much needed should stay at Fir Park.
  9. Decent suggestions, but most are well out of our reach. Lee Mair - Regarded by Utd/Sheep fans as Lee "Night" Mair - can't see him improving our team Alan Combe - As stated above, moaning faced bastard, Hibs and Hearts in the hunt, we simply can't compete.. Zak Whitbread - Is he not only on loan from Liverpool? If so he will be heading back there, just like Jack Hobbs. Jay Tabb - One of CC's best players, therefor well out of our reach and suspect he will end up at Sheff U/W, Preston or another mid to top end Championship Club. Bradley Orr - Same boat as Tabb Lappin - Defo the best shout out the lot, would have been happy staying with us, but had the urge to give Norwich one last chance, it has failed and now it's time for him to move on, why not back to us!? Fotheringham - Was a solid performer for NC last season, and albeit out of the team this year, still think another Championship club may come in for him, someone in the mold of Donny Rovers. Stevie Smith/Chris Burke - Even on loan these might be just that bit too expensive wage wise, can't see Rangers wanting to subsidise most of there wages, look at Webster, Gow, Kennedy - all went to Championship clubs, can see these two doing the same. Christian Dailly - Surely it will be Tannadice that beckons for him?
  10. Black I am sure is out of contract at the end of the season. Therefore he can sign a pre-contract (much like Roscoe last year) with anybody as of January. Or potentially a minimal/nominal fee would probably see Caley cash in and take what they can get. Cowie may well be in the same boat, but I reckon Championship football beckons for him.
  11. Diving wee bastard got Clarky sent off at Parkheed. Feigning injury and rolling about the ground as though he had been shot. Shagging and getting his fat munter of a burd pregnant. Wee prick.
  12. Fran Merida was at Real Sociedad last season, and fully expect him (if sent back out on loan) to return to La Liga/Segunda Division. To a team in the mold of Osasuna or Recreativo. Well outwith our reach and far too good for most teams in the SPL. Jay Simpson, not a bad shout, but was at Millwall previously and I think Arsenal would be looking for him to step up another level to perhaps Championship level to get some experience and someone like Watford, Southampton, Doncaster, Forest perhaps I'd be surprised if they weren't having a look in. Others like Vela, Wilshere, Randall, Ramsey etc are well without our reach. Basically it will be loan signings from Championship Clubs, e.g Grabban, Daniels, Lappin in previous years.
  13. Is that the "height" that saw a 5ft 7" wee Aussie cunt outjump him last season?
