  1. Jutkiewicz on target within the first 10mins. Slow game for the next 60mins and Humphrey/O'Brien to wrap it up with our 2nd after about 75mins. 2-0 'Well Lukas is due a goal after a very good performance as the lone-striker at Parkhead, done a lot of the unfashionable work for us up front on Sat. And the pace of Humphrey/J.O'B will provide vital when counter attacking and one of which will grab there first of the season.
  2. Clarky certainly wasn't liked. Mainly due to his "going down easily" antics at times. And the nuisance factor that came with Clarky when constantly harrassing defenders. But, as mentioned previously, Malcolm is certainly the obvious ones, albeit due to exploits before his time with us.
  3. Totally forgot about him, was mainly thinking of recently capped players for competitive matches and the opposition to which Fox will have the LB slot is filled with very little quality bar perhaps Whittaker in an attacking sense.
  4. I assume you mean Danny Fox of Celtic and formally Coventry? Difference here is despite Fox not showing much of his potential ability in his short time at Parkhead he is currently an option for a very limited position that we have. Currently Naysmith, Davidson and Whittaker are our only options for LB. Davidson despite not letting us down in his 1 and a bit games last month, was in the wilderness for nearly a decade. Naysmith, it seems his time has come and gone. Whittaker we know that he can be a threat in an attacking sense but defensively is not his strong point. So, that leaves Fox as what appears an adequate option for that position. Whereas for the wide positions - Humphrey would be up against McFadden (current top International goalscorer), McCormack and his rising talents (assuming he gets over his injury), Commons (who if he can get rid of the big-shot personality can be a decent player), Maloney (who probably will only be a bit-part player for Scotland) and to a lesser extent Barry Robson on the left hand side (albeit he is favoured to play more centrally). As much as injuries and personal tragedies have affected his start to his 'Well career, he has done a job when asked but hasn't excelled in any game that he has played. And if you play for a provincial club like us, unless you are taking headlines every game you won't even be considered. I mean look how long Faddy went before being called up and trusted to wear the dark blue. Look at just this season Forbes exclusion from the U21's and then being dismissed when he actually was called up despite being Young Player of the Month. No way that Humphrey will ever be considered for Scotland, and no offence will be best playing for Jamaica. Just might be a problem for us for commuting to Kingston and any place in the West Indies on International duty every now and again through a season.
  5. Yeah, think he featured for 5-10mins on a couple of occasions in the league, labout Christmas time last season. Mainly due to Everton being really short of numbers at that stage of the season.
  6. Mathematically - yes. Realistically - no.
  7. Both of those teams would be rather content with a point against each other. Both, will be there or thereabouts come May. Whereas we were playing the relegation favourites, and anything less than 3 points today, would have been construed as 2/3 points dropped. They may have been gash, but Hibs have more quality in the attacking department we do, and have scope in January to strenghten.

    Hammell V Fox

Did Danny Fox not play in Coventry's win at Old Trafford in the same competition (Carling Cup) - Mifsud grabbing the winner for the Sky Blues? If so, surely that is a greater achievement than Hammell doing it at Roots Hall..?

    Slane & O'brien

Yeah, regardless of contract situation we will receive a fee, even if only on a YTS rolling deal. As both ourselves and Rangers received cash from Cardiff for Roscoe when his deal ran out. Just minimal compensation, and not a fraction what we could earn if Slane was to sign and be sold on at a later date.
  10. I disagree, thought Conroy wasn't too bad. Certainly far better than previous visits to FP. I thought bar the booking that Zemmama and to a lesser extent Riordan, he got pretty much everything spot on. And I thought we got the "rub of the green" as it were. Plenty of times Jutkiewicz went down very easily and each time we were awarded the free kick. And, JOB's was certainly a yellow card, it may have been his first challenge, but he lunged in with the player well ahead of him and about to cut into the box. Definitely a yellow.
  11. In the wake of the Adebayor incident, how he never got booked for his clear and deliberate celebration, combined with his "wave" towards the East Stand directly after Conroy had gave him a warning. Wee prick that he is.. And his little showboating at the end, clearly Gannon's philosophy of being ultra clean. stopped any player having a rightful swipe at him.

    Hibernian

Nobody particularly deserves it, but went for Sutton, despite being pretty ineffectual (like the rest of the team) at least he showed a bit of heart and commitment to the cause unlike most of the others Ran and harried things down and at times helf up the well relatively successfully. Couple of attempts from set pieces and best of a really bad bunch today. Hammell and Yass coming close, and Jim before being hooked skinned the RB all day long without any end product

  16. Thing is, any away game I have ever been at with PATG and Student Concessions, I have never been asked for a valid matriculation card, they are never arsed and will let you wander through at concession price. Tannadice included in the past. Nae bother getting in as long as you look student aged.

    Friends Fare

Mind that the "Friends Fare" must be booked by 6pm tonight, for anyone still wanting to take up Scotrail's offer.
  18. Well we took 9 in our first 4 in McGhee's first season. St Mirren (W) 1-0 ICT (W) 2-1 Killie (L) 1-2 (possibly the most dominant Motherwell performance in years, and yet we lost..) Gretna (W) 2/3-1 (can't mind which - the one hit it Porter's arse and Keef scored from his cross)
  19. He will be doing well to pass the medical..
