  1. I don't understand why it was a dangerous game to play. Isn't just lumping it forward for their central defenders to outnumber Higdon and take control of the ball more dangerous? As someone said previously, if they don't have the ball they can't score a goal. Besides, it's hardly as if we were passing it around at the corner flag in our own half, we were passing it around in the midfield looking for an opening to try and get that second goal you're talking about. I'm simply saying that I wish some of our fans would show more perseverance with an intelligent, patient build-up, which is what McCall is obviously looking for from his team. We have the players to do that in Lasley & Law, so we should be taking advantage of it.
  2. Spot the mistake Seriously, what did you expect? Unanimous applause and goodwill? He got cheered by some, booed by others. I doubt he expected any different.
  3. I was speaking to a few Hearts fans in Daniels after the game and they thought the "Keith" chant was actually "beast", and they couldn't understand why the 'Well fans were chanting that when Craig Thomson had been sent packing!
  4. To be fair, the middle of the east has its fair share of elderly fans, so it's to be expected. Besides, not everyone wants to sign and shout at the game. They pay their money and are entitled to watch the game as they see fit.
  5. Did you tell him that at the match?

    Hearts - Motm

Nicky Law for me. I thought he was immense in midfield today.
  7. I've noticed over the past few games (especially the Killie game and todays match with Hearts) that the fans seem to be getting on the players cases for passing the ball in any direction that isn't forward. What's the problem? We're 1-0 up, have the ball just inside our own half and the fans are giving the players grief for passing the ball from one end of the park to the other. Would you rather we just leathered it forward, hoping that it goes to one of our players? More often than not it ends up in the possession of the opposition which puts us under pressure. I can understand this tactic not being viewed favourably if we're 1-0 down with 10 minutes to go, but when we're winning the game surely it makes more sense to keep the ball from our opponents, and look for an actual pass forward rather than just fuck it forward and hope it breaks for us?
  8. He's done not too badly considering he's playing with a new team and he's been carrying a knock since the start of pre-season.
  9. This "link" between Reynolds & Aberdeen isn't mentioned anywhere else that I can see on the internet. To say I'm slightly dubious is an understatement.
  10. If Higdon fails his medical before the game I think McCall will start with McHugh. The only problem is, if things don't go well against Hearts I can see him taking some abuse, which won't do his confidence any good I'd imagine.
  11. There'd be a rush to claim a seat at the Casagolda table surely?
  12. Now that he's answered is there any chance of you giving it a break?
  13. I'd prefer if we just tidied up Fir Park to be honest.
  14. Just out of curiosity, I wonder how many fans knew that they had bought tickets for "the singing section". I knew a few folk who went into the ticket office, asked for tickets and bought them before turning up at Hampden to see that there were people standing in front of them. If I wasn't a regular on this forum I doubt I'd have known anything about singing sections or whatever. Was it advertised?
  15. I'm sure he'll offer his fellow forum'ers a chance to pre-order a copy when the time is right
  16. Maybe it was a Japanese scout that was watching him?
  17. I've made a wee alteration to the profile pic. Hope you don't mind.
  18. Are we working under the assumption that Murphy is on his way out then?
  19. The simple answer for 'Well fans is to buy a season ticket, and pick & choose the away games you attend. If the price of the food at the stadium is not to your liking then simply eat before you come in to the game. Once people stop spending their hard earned at the in-ground kiosk they'll maybe have to rethink their pricing. If people are happy to continually moan about it though, yet still throw money their way at the weekend then they have no real incentive for changing things up.
  20. I went to the Killie game last weekend as well, having both food & drink before I went in and giving the shit programme a bodyswerve I only paid for my ticket.
  21. I don't think we'll be strolling past Hearts, that's for sure. I think we'll do enough for a win though. Jefferies going must have some sort of effect on the players.
  22. Again, not directly Motherwell-related, but Coventry have knocked back an offer of £1.5 million for the Juke.
  23. It would do McHugh a power of good to get a goal in this game.

    Sutty

Sutton and the reaction on that Hearts forum is already being discussed in the Hearts game thread.
