  1. Exactly what I was thinking. McCall's comments in public may not be the same as what he says behind closed doors. Well, I'd certainly hope they aren't!
  2. A defence like theirs is just asking to get hammered by Higdon and taken apart by Ojamaa.
  3. After seeing Celtics defence at the weekend, this game coming up against them at Fir Park at the weekend is the ideal time for the big man to make his mark and cement his place as a "not too bad" striker!
  4. Nice one. If you're ever looking for semi-decent photos of any displays just give me a shout.
  5. I missed the start of the whole Dazzer/Humphrey love-in. How did it start? Why is he such a fan of the guy? Is he related to him perhaps?
  6. I've just updated the original post with our post-split televised games. We're on quite a lot; Motherwell vs Celtic 22/04 Sky Sports Hearts vs Motherwell 01/05 Sky Sports Rangers vs Motherwell 05/05 Sky Sports
  7. No, I know that's what you meant, but there are probably people on here who believe such a sign would be a good idea.
  8. I'm sure the lads will put something together to champion our team rather than take shots at other teams.
  9. I've just gotten around to seeing the highlights on MFCTV there. A decent performance as you mentioned.
  10. Or Perhaps: Stuart McCall - Passion as well as dignity
  11. Considering what our manager was pulled up about I think there should be more than a few ban offerings winging their way to the east end of Glasgow. I'll take a 1-1 draw in this game. I don't see us getting much, and would consider a draw a good result.
  12. I understand that Killie were given recognition, we were the first team they played after winning the league cup. Why would Celtic even qualify for a round of applause at Fir Park?
  13. It won't be that clever. The odds will be poor.
  14. I actually think the guard of honour nonsense should be forgotten about. The league winners can celebrate in front of their own fans when they get the title at home.
  15. If it's pre-arranged the players will do all the clapping anyway. In the grand scheme of things I don't think applause from 2,000 or 3,000 odd Motherwell fans will make much of a difference to their day. It will make us look like c*nts right enough, but there you go.
  16. Again, what happens in England has nothing to do with how we feel or react to the matter. The English fans can do as they please.
  17. I doubt I'd even arse around with cup games. If the other 11 clubs give Rangers the green light then I'm done with Scottish football at the top level altogether.
  18. I'm not so sure it's a protest against the club, but more a protest against the actual league itself.
  19. No, if we are asked by our club to do so, I would like to see our fans afford the respect that winning the league title deserves. A bit of a clap for a minute or so. Their reaction after winning the Scottish cup, and losing the league cup doesn't surprise me, and is a fair representation of a club managed by a character like Neil Lennon. Our players and fans grudgingly acknowledging the fact that they have won the title and giving credit where it's due would be a fair representation of our club and the qualities that our manager bring to the league. As for their fans, f*ck them.
  20. Just because something has been done elsewhere doesn't mean we have to accept it, does it? I personally couldn't give a toss about the lower reaches of the English league.
  21. Aye, okay. It's this kind of nonsense that puts me off what's left of Scottish football sometimes. If Celtic are champions and for whatever reason the club decides that some sort of recognition is warranted, then I don't see the problem. The petty shite that floats around our game is cringeworthy.
  22. This comparison between our league and the EPL really does my head in. There is no comparison at all, simple as that. Why our television deal, pay structure, quality of teams or whatever should be compared to the English league is beyond me. Is it because they are just over the border? Why not compare our league to other nations of similar size? Ireland? Wales? Denmark? Norway? Sky don't really need any football deal other than the English Premiership. That doesn't mean they won't want to carry our games, just like they do other football leagues. The problem I have with Rangers walking back into the SPL is the fact that it basically puts the legitimacy of the league into serious question. We know that a similar pass wouldn't be issued to any of the other ten clubs. If it happens I'll walk. There's more than enough other sports out there that can offer me better value for money and more excitement as it is. This would just be the final straw to push me over the edge.
  23. As someone pointed out, it's the team you're applauding. They've won the title, which is worthy of recognition regardless of what's happening at Rangers. As for the fans? Who cares what they say or think? It has nothing to do with brownie points or endearing ourselves to anyone.
  24. I'm glad that common sense has prevailed for once. As someone hinted though, surely if McCall was wrongly punished the referee in question should be questioned, and if applicable, punished himself?
  25. At least McCall & McCoist were still able to share a "special" handshake after the game
