You think that Motherwell players "lie down" to Rangers?

Okay, I'm not quite sure what the OP is actually on about, but I figured this as good a thread as any to turn into the Rangers game discussion thread.

I think that incident happened a few seats along from me. Perhaps the most disturbing thing about the incident I saw was the fact that on my row was an older guy being held back by a younger guy, trying to get at someone three rows in front. The seats in between were occupied by three or four kids who looked no older than 12. Poor fucking show to be honest. No need for it, regardless of how badly Hateley was playing.

I was wondering when this thread would get bumped. I bet you were rubbing your hands together in glee just thinking about it, eh? Four goals in our last six still. Not bad for someone who's put in one decent performance in fifteen games.

We weren't at the races today by any stretch of the imagination, but let's not get carried away now. We're still eight points clear in 3rd place, which is hardly a "dogfight". Once the split happens we have to play the teams around us, which means that 3rd place is still very much in our own hands. If we come through the post-split fixtures without taking anything from games against St Johnstone, Dundee United or Hearts then we don't deserve third. Simple as that. Better teams than us have lost at Kilmarnock.

I'll go with what I've heard on Sportsound for now. Until something more concrete tells me otherwise.

Darren Randolph was the only player to perform today in my opinion, so he get's my vote.

As far as we're concerned, I hear that if we qualify for the Champions League and go out at the first qualifying stage we will go into the Europa League qualifying stages as a seeded team. We would be guaranteed 4 games in Europe then.

If he resigns I don't see us getting a fee for him. It'll most likely be a deal until the end of next season, meaning he'll be free to speak to clubs and sign a pre-contract in January. Considering he can walk away for nothing in a few months time as things stand, I'd say that having him for another year is the best we can hope for.

Taking the conversation from the Kilmarnock match thread I thought this would make for an interesting discussion on its own. Basically, if you had the choice of Motherwell winning the league cup this season or getting into the qualifiers for the Champions League, which would you prefer and why?

As I said, we're guaranteed a spot in that tournament every season. The Champions League is something that will probably come along once.
