Fans, like players, can often struggle for consistency early in the season.. While I am not rushing to label him as a bad signing, Andy Rose is the one that's impressed me the least. Not entirely sure what he contributes. But I haven't seen enough of him for me to write him off...

Player signs for Club A on loan but never plays due to an illness that player admits himself makes him unable to play in Scotland but not England. Player signs for club B. Club A and B are due to play and player isn't mentioned as being doubtful. Player doesn't play. These are conditions rife for speculation and rumour...

Or the issue only gets brought to light when another club who is already aware of it brings it up...

Worryingly you can easily find a Daily Record article where Bigirmana himself says that he had (at least when he signed for Rangers) an illness that wouldn't let him play under SFA rules but didn't prevent him playing in England. Are we going to find ourselves in a situation where a key summer signing isn't eligible to play..?

Given there are no real secrets in football, if this were the case and Rangers were aware of it, pretty sure we would have known about this before signing him. And if Rangers can somehow object, any team that we play against will do so...

Interested to hear a second person suggest Rangers somehow dictated that Bigirmana wouldn't play today. I'm not sure how that would even be possible?

Undecided how today will go. I'm working and have a habit of missing our good results. But on the flipside, it's Rangers and we always seem to fuck up against them, no matter the quality of their team. Hoping for at the very least for a decent performance giving some degree of hope for the season ahead...

We're actively looking to sell Heneghan. Last week our defensive midfielder ended up playing centre half. I'd say we might need another defender...

Not sure what to make of that lineup. Not sure who would play left midfield or left wing back in that setup. Honestly can't see a shape that makes sense. At a push.. Carson Tait Kipre Dunne Hammell Rose McHugh Bigirmana Cadden Moult Tanner

Can't honestly say that any of the signings made by the likes of Kilmarnock, Partick Thistle or St Johnstone have made me think "god, I wish we had signed them". Over time, pretty sure that some of them will shine and I'll think they could have done a job for us. But hopefully fans of other clubs will look at Bigirimana, Carson or others and think the same thing...

As opposed to last week when the average age of the starting eleven was under 24? Only area that I'd be keen to see an U20 would be at centre half. Sure McManus needs the game time but if we're actively looking to sell Heneghan and McManus is going to have to be managed carefully fitness wise, it might be an idea to see what the likes of Maguire or Watt can offer in a back three...
