Cadden fair enjoyed his goal. Thought he had quite an effective game, would be happy to see him stay in the team and play on a better pitch.

I don't know what the penalty was for, the ref gave no indication, just pointed to the spot. I saw no infringement. I can believe that the 'third' was offside, but if it was it was poor play by us. I know we played in worse conditions in the good old days but the pitch was poor and affected the game for the worse.

Cadden needs a run of three games or more for us to see what he can do, taking him out the team next week will do nothing for his development. As for the first goal, he was marking someone else when Irvine came late into the box, he had to decide whether to stay with his man or mark Irvine, he decided, probably too late, to follow Irvine but perhaps someone else should have been tracking him.

I haven't looked at the records but I would anticipate suspensions for both Lasley and Pearson in the next few weeks, so getting an answer or at least options for centre mid is important.

Would Lawless get in our team? I fully accept he has made a worthwhile career at a Premiership club but would he be in our first 11?

The point of having a squad is to plug gaps when there are absences, there was a gap in midfield so slot in a midfielder from the squad. Simple? We would soon learn if they are good enough, at the moment the managements assumption is that they are not. So get shot?

Are Joe Chalmers boots too big for him he seems to run as if he is clenching his toes trying to keep them on his feet.

He didn't need to take Chalmers off, his first move could have been to reinstate the fullbacks and put Chalmers into left side of midfield. That could have got us through to half time and then further changes could be made.

We won the singing though, well done boys.
