  1. He certainly doesn't put covers on the pitch or cut the grass. There have also been no games called off. But my idea of a General Manager is that the internal departments of the club will report to him, media, admin staff, ground keeping etc and he will report up to the board and flag up any issues that need escalating. He is not picking the team or the manager or signing off on contracts.

6-0 needed for sixth (or seventh).
  4. Was there a great comp ticket giveaway on Tuesday, the boy in front of me at the turnstyle turned and handed me two tickets, I used one and turned to the guy behind me but he already had a ticket, said he had plenty!
  5. I watched with interest how last night's formation panned out. The big bonus was having the spare central defender able to go forward and attack high balls or to sweep behind the other two. This worked well. I don't think we were attacked down the wings which is the concern I would have if we played this against a more competent team. Although Cadden got forward a few times I thought that Marvin's forward play was suppressed by his defensive duties but then we had Faddy creating a little bit of creative spark so that maybe balanced out. In short, no idea what formation to play on Saturday.
  6. Yes, Faddy between midfield and strikers but pushing on

You should take your punishment and stay to the end, sometimes it gets worse
  9. I am travelling north with a Utd supporting colleague, I hope the journey back will be cordial, I can be magnanimous in victory.
  10. I think Cadden has looked good in the games he has played, not one of them has been a win, but he has shown up well. Quite excited about the progress he could make. Thomas did well when he came on but he has never done it when he has started a game! Still an impact player but an effective one. Ben Hall has done fine when he has been in the team. Is there anyone else likely to come through? Perhaps the medium term looks brighter than the short term!
  11. Would 0-0 in every game to the end of the season, keep us up? Might do, would be good enough for me.
  12. Where was Ainsworth playing today's? His position is down the right in the second half for the last 30 minutes, anything else is madness.
  13. I understand the effort McDonald puts in but I don't think he is effective, certainly not on his own up front. Both Cadden and Thomas made progress down the right and played the ball into McDonald who immediately played it back to the halfway line, it retains possession but loses all impetus. We know he can't pass, he kept himself onside mostly this week, he had no shots on goal. Maybe trying a formation without him may give us something different. Maybe I am clutching at straws.
  14. On the game, Moults header near the end that hit the woodwork, I thought it was dropping in before he got his touch.

Maybe McGhee isn't over those shouts at Pittodrie
  16. At least it was a good old fashioned pumping and no last minute bad luck stories
  17. Pearson looks to be suspended for the United game, if it is on, and Lasley can't be far from a suspension after a few cards and a sending off, so we will see a few different midfield options in the coming weeks.

I was about to give it to McDonald but he was offside.
  19. It was certainly Law's man, unfortunately he was moving one way when the ball went behind him. I thought the keeper could have done better to stop the ball going across the goal, good finish by McManus though
  20. Surely we haven't conceded beyond the 91st minute this season? Oh, maybe Hamilton.
