How come we never take a shot at goals? 30 yards out, have dig instead of playing it back. The wind in the Accies game and today would have made the ball difficult to deal with but in neither game did the goalie ever have a shot to contend with.

That game certainly turned out to be torture and we were second best but we were very unfortunate with the first goal and I am not quite sure how the second goal ocurred, but after that we effectively threw two in the net. With a different start, who knows if the more positive line up would have worked. Then I think of Ainsworth's lack of interest then I realise I am kidding myself.

It is easy to criticise Sutton, he can knock the ball in the net from the six yard box, but there is no way he is a footballer. I understand the foolishness of the statement "all he does is score goals" but outside the box he can't even pass a ball.

Possibly Josh Law for his cross for the goal, can't think of anything else that was positive.

Can you remind me of the salient points of that email, not sure I saw it. When we got to the quarter finals that year I realised my upcoming holiday co-incided with the final, I had to watch it on a TV in Greece. Couldn't understand Hammell in the middle, the highlight of his career and he was played out of position.

I am tempted to start Thomas but, if not, giving him the full second 45 would continue to ramp up his involvement in the team without putting the pressure of being the saviour on his shoulders.

The first goal at Hamilton also, Reid was done for pace and position, the only player able to get across to close Imrie down was McManus but he just jogged back.
