Harry Cochrane was a recent example of a young boy that was going to rip it up, he might yet but after an initial flurry he faded. Could easily be the same for Patterson after he discovers post-scrabble kebabs.
If Turnbull had stayed at Fir Park he would have played all season and would very likely have been brought into the squad earlier than he was. That would have increased his likelihood of playing. Move to the Celtic and stay as you are, play for the ‘Well and be a superstar.

Was Gordon impressive against Netherlands? Not sure. If the tactics of the Scotland team is to have the keeper high up the pitch when we are pressing the opposition box then Gordon would have been there too, so is it a valid criticism of Marshall?
If we are going to be seated apart from people anyway I would be happy to test different vantage points around the stadium.
First preference would be my own seat though.
He didn’t go down South when he had the chance previously but we are two years further on, he may feel better prepared for it now. Alternatively he could run the show at Celtic for another season and move on after that.
