  1. Lang used Polworth as a decoy, as the defender had to be wary of that pass it opened up for Lang in a more central position. The issue is that he missed the target. The other option would have seen a pass back from Polworth.
  2. I know you are a fan but I wouldn’t have put him on today.
  3. Crawford is undramatic but effective, played well, shame he had to go off, hurt us a bit.
  4. Excellent performance today. Then came the subs.
  5. But that substitution changes our shape, our approach, our mindset, so it’s little to do with White himself but the dynamic changes and we lose the points.
  6. Copy and pasted from Robbo thread : I have sympathy for the club. I have no strong opinion on whether or how St Mirren and Killie should be punished. The points should not have been awarded while there was still course to appeal. But given that they were awarded, we have now been messed about through no fault of our own. As innocent bystanders we were given something then a few weeks later and a few hours before a match it has been taken away from us with no clarity on how things will move on. Theoretically in midweek we may have gone all out for a winner but due to our relative safe position in 5th we determined that hanging on to one point was a good result. Theoretically.

Let’s get guys up front, the boys up top have not performed.
  8. United switched to 4-4-2 last night and got success. Which of our many formations from this season will we deploy?

He uses the same technique in both boxes which isn’t what is required.
  10. Lamie is certainly more effective if we have 2 men marking him at the back
  11. Quite the coincidence there being two players called Ian Vigurs.
  12. The stream has been rock solid, it’s not been bad at all the last couple of games. Better performance than most at Fir Park.
  13. I was expecting Hastie to get a game, and he may have made a difference, but as the game wore on I thought minimal changes would earn us a point. Then White came on.
  14. Lamie being marked by O’Hara tonight
  15. Hastie with a career defining performance
  16. It was disappointing to have a point wrestled from our grasp on the 82nd minute but it would have been seen as a valiant attempt. The third made it look like a perfunctory defeat.
  17. Did it also hit Mugabi’s arm, not sure? Wouldn’t have been surprised at a penalty award.
  18. And 1-1 would have been a fine result, thereafter we created further chinks in our armour
  19. I was happy with everything up to the substitution that brought White on. It was great discipline and after giving away so much possession 1-1 wasn’t a bad result. But putting White on reduced our midfield barrier and created no positives. Flicking a ball on was pointless. That was the point that we conceded the match.
  20. Was the Aberdeen fan ever identified ?
  21. I stood right up beside my telly and played this over again but looking at a different individual each time. It was pure theatre. Faddy turned away celebrating before the goal is scored. The defenders rushed the ref when the ball was still bouncing in their six yard box. Lasley stealing 10 yards after the original taker was told to put the ball back. Aberdeen actually set up a wall. I need to go back and watch it again.
