  1. Im sure they must be thinking similar. Keep Porter, Clarky and Boab quiet and we have no goal threat!
  2. If its to be in the Ravenscraig development, then transport won't be a problem as any plans for the area should all be outlined within the Structure Plan and NLC's Local Transport Strategy. There are aspirations for a rail station to be located within Ravenscraig, and there will of course be plenty buses if/when the housing developments ever proceed. As for parking and transport in general, the club and council will have to produce a transport assessment as part of gaining planning permission, which covers these points showing the impact on the local road network and following statutory guidance on how many parking spaces are allowable and any assistance for alternative methods of travel.
  3. Although he started brightly he did flag in the last 20 minutes, did the usual diving bit on the edge of the D, fucked up with his first touch on a few occasions and was seriously at fault when we were 3 on 2 in the second half, ports and hughes belting down either side of him, and he couldn't find either of them. Apart from that, I thought he did a good job and we play better with him in the team! 2nd half we fucking pumped them by the way, a bit dissapointed we couldnt finish off all that good play. Lasley was poor today, the ref was shocking, and mini me running the line was a fud tae! Even though he didnt score, I thought Porter was quality, and Steff had a good productive game too. Jim O'Brian good too.
  4. Am I correct in thinking that the 'well boys meeting with the match commander has come about due to the thread by Sieb_Dykstas_Barmy_Army?? If so, its actually quite ironic that their biggest critic has actually helped them progress officially. Give him a thankyou guys, i know it will wind him right up. Sieb- spiritual leader of the 'well boys!

    Porter

Whilst I understand the sentiment, you really are talking out of your ass! Rossco leaves and we go joint bottom of the league with the accies! Yes, we will rise again, but at the moment, its just a plain stupid thing to write.

If they all get the flu and we get the match suspended, pie and bovril will be in meltdown!!
  7. And remember it will only be full once every 14 years when we get into Europe.
  8. Probably, but we wouldn't have had a trip to Nancy either.
  9. The midfield isn't getting a chance too, because we hoof it right over the top of them.
  10. So, 1 goal in 6 games is all Porters fault? Nothing to do with the other 10 punters that have been playing with him??
  11. Tell him to stop with the bollocks excuses that everyone is playing like individuals and not a team. The reason we are shite is because we have went from playing passing football on the decks to hoofing long balls up to the strikers. Its bad enough when the keeper and central defenders do it - at least historically thats what players in those positions did. But when your full backs progress 10 yards into opposition half and then hoof a long diagonal ball to Porter, its no wonder we cant score a fucking goal!! In short, tell him to coach his fucking team to play football!!!
  12. But maybe she is happy to take questions and engage with all the support, not just those aligned or with any kind of access to the MST. If she wants to hear from all parties, then im not sure its correct to decide everyone has to go through the mouthpiece of the supporters trust. (unless she asks for that) Just my thoughts.
  13. I appreciate the reply and all you have said in this thread to everyone, but heres the thing. Taking my point as an example. How can the club manage to courier me my season ticket to my address back in the summer, but not send me out the much heralded letter? If the answer is that the club has lost my address then that tells us all how bad and unprofessional the set up it. If the answer is that my address is living on the new fangled almost complete database but no-one has bothered to go through it and take the addresses off it, then that answers your question about communication issues. This isn't meant to be a personal attack on you, i've never met you and none of the issues my mate has over the 'proggies affair' last season has anything to do with me. I'm just trying to be honest and point out a few problems. Elsewhere in the thread you mentioned set deadlines not being met and said with the exception of Nancy, this hasn't happened. Technically this may be true, but how long did it take from the press release on the initiative, which said we would all recieve the letters, to some people actually getting them. Must have been 6-8 weeks at least im guessing. Similarly, the announcement of the hospitality draw for season ticket holders after every home match. I think it took 2 weeks from the first counting match before there was any mention of it on the official site. Why did these things all take so long? Thats the sort of thing that makes the clubs communications look bad.
  14. Send out the letters to all season ticket holders. A good number of ST holders on this forum alone are still waiting their letter. Would be a good start. Also, perhaps a regular email newsletter type thing. Can't be hard to set up.
  15. Ask him if he did set a world record for own goals in a season last year
  16. Why did you? I don't see any place for a tricolour at a football match however I dont see how anyone can legitimately say it, or a union flag is bigotted.

    'Dear Supporter'

I don't have my letter yet either. Sieb_Dykstras_Barmy_Army got his letter though and told me about its contents, Im still at a loss as to how this benefits me. It'l obviously benefit one of my mates who I will get a free ticket for (If i recieve the letter before the three games are actually played) , but how does it actually benefit me, the season ticket holder??
  18. I think thats fair I dont agree with that at all. The rules say sit down. The only people who need to do any coming or going are those who don't sit down when they are told too.
  19. Weren't you on McGhees case last season even when it was going well?? I agree that some times he shows no reasoning, such as why McGarry starts games let alone be the last man to be subbed. But, I don't think you can become a bad manager overnight. The guy has obviously got something about him to be able to get us to finish last season in third place. He's probably too costly to give the bullet too (although a contract pay out would be better than relegation). And the fact is, it is in his ambitious interests to get us out the mire. I'de rather see us stick with McGhee who is a good and proven manager and let him earn that big pay packet he gets, than boot him out and hope someone who is more a Motherwell level of manager can get some new manager syndrome injected into the team.
  20. You obviously didnt watch the Nancy team show us how its done then??? I thought he was no bad, but defo erratic. Caught out of position a good few times, made a good number of mistakes when going for balls and in the second half, down in the right back corner he let a good large moment of indecision go by which allowed a kily player in and belt a cross over. I think if we'd been playing hibs last night, they would have punished him.
  21. I didnt think boab was bad at all last night. He delivered a good number of long passes right onto there targets, and seemed to get around more than usual. He's definatley shed a couple of pounds and looked a bit fitter. My main problem with him last night was that on a few occasions players layed the ball off to him in a shooting position just outside the box but he never hit a shot. Can he only strike a dead ball??
  22. Also noted that Boab was certainly looking much more streamlined last night.
  23. I would agree with that 100%, but i would also say that while it was a good solid debut for such a young lad, there was nothing there to go over board about. I get the feeling that too often posters on this board will have a wank when any youngster is brought through the ranks. On the plus side for him, he personally didnt make any mistakes which led to goals. He was eager to get forward and i noted at least 1 belter of a cross he put in. However, he does look (understandably) lightweight and i fear for him for the first time he is on the end of a mans tackle. (i dont mean john boyles) Also, i saw him belting forward on many occasions and not have the ball passed to him, aka the same thing that happens to DL Smith. Now this isn't the lads fault, but the rest of the team maybe do not have the same confidence in him yet. Certainly, Quinn would be getting fed a pass through 9 times out of 10. I like the lad and thought he did well but i dont think we should be going overboard just yet.
  24. Two things i would say about it..... 1- If the SPL rules say we must have an all seater stadium and health and safety says you have to sit down then I don't think you have any leg to stand on (excuse the pun) when the stewards and polis tell you to sit on your arse! I don't mind the singing for the full game, think it adds atmosphere and is all good, however it leads on to point 2...... 2- every time i looked over last night, the majority of the standing up crowd were facing the other way, either shouting at the fans in the south stand or perhaps the stewards beside them. Seriously, it looked to be the full match, that squad did absolutley nae spectating. Now i can understand the game was pash, but i don't see the point in going and not watching it. Sorry, theres a third point. If i didnt have a season ticket, perhaps wasnt a regular attender and showed up, sat down near the back of that section and couldn't see the game because a bunch of boys spent the full game standing up and shouting abuse at stewards and away fans, I'de be pretty pissed off! Just my opinion.
