I think if we knew we could keep hold of Hutchy, then we would have him, Clancy, Saunders and probably Craigan available for centre half next season, so maybe not a requirement for Page. Saying that, given the offer we accepted for Murphy in the summer, Im not convinced we will be able to keep hold of Hutch, which would then mean it might be quite prudent to sign Page up.

^But are you actually a Motherwell fan or a Humphrey fan??
-
And when did he start following the 'well??
-
So humphrey cant hold down a starting place at Motherwell in a shite spl but he's somehow going to play for spurs or liverpool?? Jesus christ! Humphrey has his moments& if you read his twitter he comes across as a good guy, good pro, good family guy, etc but those attributes sadly dont get it done on the pitch. If there ever was a footballer who could justify burleys label of 'limited ability' then its chris humphrey. As for the keeper arguament, Randolph for me is our biggest asset. Randz v Ruddy? Ruddy is probably better now but hes been playing against much better players for past2years. My opinion is that Randolph is better than Ruddy was when he was at Motherwell. We have been very fortunate to have 2good quality keepers of late. I fear for the day we have to back to a greame smith or worse.

Jenno can stay at the 'well& make his retirement money by betting on lasley getting sent off!
-
How the fuck is lasley suspended again? Surely after all his suspensions of late we get the slate wiped clean? Is he really so far down the line that he now gets a ban for every two yellow cards?? As for the game, not the worst result in the world, as you were against st j& gained a point on united. Crucially, wer getting to the stage they will start to run out of games soon..... hopefully

My Celtic supporting mate has just told me theres a thread about this on one of the Celtic forums. (No idea which one and cant be arsed looking for it). Says its full of outrage and conspiracy. Even he as a Celtic fan is pissing himself at the beliefs some of their support cling too.
-
Fuck them! And Rangers too!

Or McCall could put the ice cream back in the freezer for them for another week. That would really piss the Celtic support off!
-
Is that accurate? Hutchy certainly makes his fair share of mistakes, but I can't remember the red mist decending like it does with Clancy. Clancy could easily have been sent of on Sat for his reaction. If that had of been the case then he would really have needed his baws booted and fined!

Im definatley in the above boat Fatcalf. Would love to participate but not in a place in my life where I can afford it, still repaying wedding and mortgage deposit to the old bank of mum and dad. Going forward however I would definatley like to contribute in future. A massive well done to all who have been able to contribute and to those at the club who put the scheme in place.
-
Aye, but their team without Clancy, has won more trophies than us with him.
-
Thought we played decent to be honest& deserved at least a draw. Think theres a bit of an over reaction on this board to what was a narrow last minute defeat to a good team. All those moaning that everyone else has beat the h**s needs to start playing attention to scottish football. The h**s have had major injuries in the last few months as well as their off field problems. That team that beat us todat was their big team, all back& fit. The same team with the exception of jelavic that romped to a 15point lead in the league. I dont think we did too much wrong today& i certainly feel better about that result that when they hump us 5,6,7-0!
-
Jenno for me. Solid in the middle. Humphrey played well when he was on the ball but we didnt get him on it often enough. After our goal i think the other 10players forgot about him till the second half
-
Well done andy, nice work. Good to see you & las get your clothes in the same shop.
-
Since the rest of Scottish football now thinks Lasleys up their with Ian Black in terms of dirtyness, just imagine the world wide reaction after he breaks Messi's leg next season......

Say Motherwell win& wer all chuffed to bits but out of pocket. Sporting bet then refund our money in the form of betting credit. Fair enough, but does anyone know if you'l have to spunk the full £50 refund on 1 bet or can you spread it? Generally only gamble about £30 per month. Wouldnt be wanting to have to slap it all down on one bet. But if i can use that £50 over a month+ then ide be happy
-
Unless they use the sportingbet deal and they get the £50 refunded.
-
Fuck it, lets just win the Champions League!!
-
Of the players I have seen, my picks is exactly identical to Ya Beezers A team. Of the current squad, as good as they are, only Randolph would get in my best Motherwell team. Opinions will always differ, but I reckon Randolph is better than Maxwell, Sieb, Ruddy, and Goram (Gorams years with us). Our next best current player (IMO) is Hutchy, and at the moment he wouldn't get a sniff infront of Brian Martin and Mitchell Van Der Gaag!
-
Minutes silence? For someones father? Im all for paying respect, but if he gets a minutes silence then its surely open season for these things every single game
-
You think? Aside from this episode which he has handled very well, I think he has been an outspoken c**t for most of the season!
-
Not a chance. It was a relative of a player, nothing to do with the club, not a coach etc. Player relatives must pass away every week. Can you imagine the implications for the game if such a precedent was set? Its a terrible family tradgedy for the player& his mother who are both left behind, but thats it. It might not be suitable for the lad to play on saturday, but the rest of his team mates will be fine.
-
Just in addition to my post, if McCall decides to stick with page, is mccall best to ask the lad who he would be most comgortable partnering? Probably not, since if page us good enough he should be able to play with anyone. Just a thought though. I also agree with the poster above, cant see mccall looking past a hutch-clancy pairing
-
I can see the arguaments for&against to be honest. Saturday is now a massive game for us considering rangers will likely get hammered Sunday. Would be a shame not to put out our strongest team. Saying that, page has been improving with each game& deserves a chance to stake a claim& a contract. In all jobs, in all walks of life there comes a time when a manager has to trust that young members of his/her staff are ready to step up. What would i do?? Honestly not sure. I reckon hutchy is our best defender but will two raw young guys work together? Does clancy deserve to be back on the bench? Its a tough call.
