  1. Ive used mine in Malaysia, Indonesia, Borneo, Thailand......... Im pretty sure you'll have no problem in Romania.
  2. Can we just hurry up and buy a keeper!! After the euphoria of lastnight and the expectation we are going to be a hungry pacey side this season, I'de hate to see us struggle purely because we have a half wit standing between the sticks. He's worse at dealing with crosses than Buzz for fcuks sake! At least Buzz was happy to shout at his defence and a great shot stopper. This boy appears to be able to kick, and thats it!
  3. Love it! Are you sure you aren't from Scotland??
  4. Is it real though? Remember Keevins said he had signed for Hearts last week.........
  5. A British passport holds a lot of weight in so many countries and provides you a level of protection your average johnny foreigner citizen wouldnt get, and much easier entry to so many countries. Probably to do with the empire all those years ago. If you have done any independant travelling to 'out there' places, you can see the reactions on the faces of the folks at the various passport control stations when you pull out that British passport. I have no idea why some people give up their passports or attempt to punt them on. Its one of your most valuable possesions. Anyways, imagine what the team at Pie and Bovril would have to say if the cheats, fluked their way into europe for playing clean football, and then cheated their opponents out of the competition due to visa requirements.
  6. Agree 100%! I pay Motherwell for the pleasure, sometimes displeasure of watching them. My career pays the bills, pays my season ticket, golf membership, holidays, beer tokens etc etc. Theres no comparison. You do your job first and foremost.
  7. Aside from the editorial aspect which others have mentioned, the guys got a job to do. Why should anyone cover up the facts, we'r not revisionists like Celtic or Rangers. Fact of the matter is that some aspects of our support are scum bags, just like any other club. Pretending it didnt happen or sweeping it under the carpet would do no good what so ever. At least this way, any future trouble makers will see the assailants life bans from Fir Park and hopefully take it as a warning. Did the reporter mis report anything? No. Basically he did his job and arseholes on a forum being judgemental over someone legitimatley earning a crust is just pathetic.

Aye, they'l keep the brand new ones for the season and give you the one McGarry wore last week instead.
  9. Hopefully JG moves fast and gets it tied up. The last thing we need is for Villa, or more likely Rangers or Celtic to see the Beeb gossip pages and gazump us.

I really hope, and doubt what the Lip is saying. I just dont believe that John Boyle and his team could be so amatuerish when it comes to finance, as to not bother dotting the eyes and crossing the t's. This is the guy who has been running the financial side of the club at least, in the black for the last 5 years now. Regardless of credit checks, i would also doubt any decent company these days ever enters into any significant contracts without checking out the insurance policies and liabilities of their partners. Sometimes these things happen and you get bitten on the arse. Did Nick Leeson check out before everything went tits up? Woolworths, almost General Motors etc etc. For the record Lip, i thought your aversion to Canterburry was the type of kits they produce for the Scotland rugby team and the amount of kiwi's on it? I can't remember you raising questions as to the financial liabilities of the company.
  11. I couldnt get to Wales (had to attend a wedding the next day), so had to make do with watching it on S4C with BBC Scotland commentary on the wireless. Anyway, the commentator suggested that Slane would be an ideal option as the second striker. I'de quite like to see that myself, been impressed with the lad in the two occassions I've seen him now, and lets face it, McGarry is fucking mince!

To be honest I think he's pish. Sorry, but thats what I think. Saying that, we don't exactly have much cover and if we start getting rid of the pish like him and McGarry then we are really going to be struggling for numbers.
  13. Aye, it wont be roasting!
  14. And he was also the stand out player in the last two games he played for Scotland, you know the ones where this forums favourite son Clarcky was almost used as a time wasting sub in injury time.
  15. Is it the old guy that sits in the east stand with the huge tash and sideys?? Whoever it was it is shocking and out of order. One question though, if the radio, tv, fans and if you read this thread the club, know all about it. Then how come the official Albania press release says there was no reports of any trouble last night? Does trouble only relate to fighting with opposing fans?
  16. Fuck it, im confident. Saving my money and annual leave for our third round clash with Roma!
  17. Doubt it, would you really want to stay at Motherwell and get paid 1-2k per week or move to the championship and get 10k a week? Its a no brainer, even if Morinho was Motherwell manager, money talks.
  18. I think you need to engage your brain and read and understand the posts before you shoot your mouth off pal. The post prior to mine suggested we wouldnt have been better with Quinn, Hughes and Clarky in the team. I believe we would have. Quinn is a better player than Saunders regardless of whether he wants to play or not. Hughes can thread passes through the middle and put his foot on the ball, while clarcky would have ran that back 4 ragged. Ball control or not (and i happen to agree with your beach ball assesment of the guy) he would have worked that back 4, certainly providing them a bit more excercise than the imobile John Sutton. You will also notice I haven't once critisised JG, infact in another thread I praised the guy for having the balls to take senior players off who were playing poorly and leave the kids on. I don't understand your point on Slane? Did you not think he was a stand out performer? Perhaps you know him personally and know him to be a fanny? I don't see how saying, 'he looked a good player lastnight' can be questioned.
  19. Quinns far better than Saunders is - one day Saunders may be a player but right now he's not, he's certainly not big enough to handle spl week in week out. Last night he didnt play well and was literally hiding from the ball as time went on. Hughes would have made the midfield tick a bit more and hopefully threaded a few more passes through up front, while Clarcky would have ran the part timers back line ragged. So while we could still be piss poor with them in the team, I think they would all have given us a good bit more to work with. I dont know all the young lads faces or even numbers yet but the one that stuck out for me as a real prospect was Slane. Unlike the poster earlier, i don't know the boy or know if he is a bawbag or not, but he looked like a good player lastnight. -McGarry can fuck right off back to St Mirren. -O'Brien shouldnt be shouting at the youngsters when its him that fucks up -We should not be resorting to long balls at all, especially not after 30 minutes against a pub team - Craigan, Hammil and Reynolds all offenders. - Sutton, i dont even know where to begin with that c**t - Finally the c***s at Canterburry who designed the keeper tap, shorts and socks, and the arseholes at fir park who sanctioned it should be the first ones Gannon puts out the door the morra.
  20. What impressed me about Gannon lastnight was that he wasn't feart to take the 'big' players off when they were playing shite. Lasley was as bad as I've seen him and O'Brian was pish, regardless of the number of times someone gave him the ball. And the bollocking he gave Saunders when it was actuially O'Briens overhit pass, was inexcuasable. Saunders didnt play well to be fair, but on that occasion, it wasn't the boys fault.
  21. I know what you mean but this week alone Clarky and Fletcher have went down south for decent sized fee's. If the lower leagues in England were a production line of that sort of talent then Cardif, Bristol and Burnley et all wouldnt keep coming up here.
  22. So far so good, im very impressed by this guy. My only worry is that he misunderestimates the SPL and thinks lower English league boys will run riot up here. Hopefully thats not going to happen and Jimbo will have us powering into Europe 3 seasons in a row!
  23. One of the bread-knifes best mates is getting married the next day. I have been told I have to attend. If the home leg score is tight and dependant on how much enthusiasm I can work up at our 8? outfield players, I may drive down and then attempt to come straight back after the match...... maybe.
  24. Gannon for me, without a doubt.
  25. Aye, you must be gutted at the moment, nae manager to moan about for at least 2 weeks!
