  1. Apparently both OF are after him and the asking price is £200,000.

    St Mirren V Hibs

Again, yes, certainly! I do see where your coming from, Hibs picking up one point means theres no margin for error and its simple as saying if we lose or draw our season is done. It all comes down to winning on Saturday, we all know that and the players do too, they know what has to be done. Even if Hibs never picked up a point last night I'd honestly feel we'd still need all 3 points against St Mirren still because we know Hibs can give Rangers a game at Easter Road and they may walk away with a point there too. All I am saying and how I feel is we need the three points albeit Hibs had lost or drawn last night.

    St Mirren V Hibs

Yeah, of course we all would have liked for Hibs tp fail and not pick up a point at all, thats as clear as day for me. But, would you rather still be in the race for Top 6 come this afternoon or be totally out of it staring at Bottom 6 fixtures already? Least we have ONE LAST CHANCE to get that spot and its down to us to do what we have to do. If we win against St Mirren - Hibs have to match us. A draw against Rangers is not good enough for them. I'd rather have this scenario than none at all.
  4. Aah right, fair enough! I can't remember a time where it got used in bulk so I'd hope after the split of the Well Boys they still have it (not binned it) since a lot of people put their hand in their pocket to fund it (Im sure).
  5. Totally agree with getting extra numbers in but, whats numbers without atmosphere? Ok, so whats the difference 3k 'Well fans in silence than 7k 'Well fans in silence? Its the people willing to make the atmosphere and urge the players on whether it be 3k or 7k. Wheres all the boxes of TIFO from the start of the season that Flow stored away in his house that we couldn't use at Love Street? Anything to add a bit of atmosphere which is a MUST WIN game for Motherwell. Also, when it comes to the singing/chanting part of the atmosphere the Eastend BabyCrew or the old WB86 - can we try and support the team? Its all great fun calling St Mirren fans junkies but is that gonna help Motherwell? I wouldn't care if you went through the team and sang "theres only one David Clarkson/Maros Klimpl/Stevie Hammell..." for the full team - at leasts thats supporting them. Im not slating any of you guys (both groups I mean) I could for you's to do what you's do but, you go to these games (I hope) to support Motherwell FC and Motherwell FC NEED your support on Saturday. All I like to see/hear is pro-Motherwell and not anti-St Mirren (even though they deserve it.. Yeah, lets get those extra numbers in but lets get those extra numbers behind the 'Well and do those Paisley fucks and get us back in the race for Europe.. MON THE 'WELL..
  6. I'd take that. Especially with our sponsor which doesn't look as ridiculous as that one. Would quite like the Canterbury logo in the middle aswell as the 'Well crest too. Looks nice and plain - guessing the away top will the exact same design but in reverse colours? Plus, anyone with inside knowledge know if there continuing to have PHIL on the Youth sized jerseys or shall they be plain ie. Celtic, Rangers, Everton?
  7. Yeah, a shoulder (and a yellow looking one at that). Hardly worth the bother. 1 of 4 pictures which will be in the next few issues of the programme.

    'Well Newsletter...

I actually thought todays was one of the better ones you's have put together. With words from Clarky about his few days away (which I dont think was documented anywhere or quotes from Clarky either?), which was the most "exclusive" thing for a few weeks. Certinaly not having a pop anyway and I know its a working progress but most weeks its stories from the official made into a smaller paragraph with the same quotes. Even a two-three lined weekly interview with x player (even if he never played) and ask "What you think of x game? How do you think the team played?" things that wouldn't go up on the official but are that little bit exclusive to subscribers. I'm sure it will get better and better with weeks and months roll past but, for me so far, its just been the stuff I've read previously on the official the previous night (to be fair, Im never off the official looking for the latest). Its good stuff anyway.

    Vs Kilmarnock

God, never thought it was that bad for a second. Please turn it around on Saturday 'Well, please..

    Dundee Utd

Highlights finally up. Our park is actually outrageously bad. I thought it was bad from my view in the East but my God, its 100 times worse from a height. The East Stand wing looks lush though. But to the highlights, whats Zaluska doing for the 2nd? Poor goal keeping, well played Clarky. Nice to see how much it means to O'Brien after Suttons goal, noticed at the game how many times he punched the air in delighted. If only Suttons & Sheridans sitters went in goal difference would have looked lovely up against Hibs. Buzz's save from Swanson volley gets better every time you see it, missed the shot at the game but the save looked even better by the highlights - cracking stop! Chuffed with 3 points. 4 now off Utd & Sheep. Easy oasy 'Well - 4th place it is!

    Vs Hearts

I was gutted right up until the final whistle. Of course I am annoyed we didn't walk away with a point but I wasn't totally convinced we'd catch Hearts so for them top pull further away then, so be it, we can still do Europe and we can still do 4th. Chuffed for Shug to score again, maybe another few until the end of the season. Amazing how half the time he can't get a shot on target with the right peg but first time with the left its in the net. McGhee has to decide what hes doing upfront, its like experimenting with Porter + Sutton + Clarkson again. If we all said Sheridan is very much like Porter then why would he gel if Porter (a better player) wasn't able to? One or the other Sheridan or Sutton now both. Or play Clarky Sheridan O'Brien with Hughes Klimpl Fitzy in the middle. All in all, disappointed not to get a point. Also, the Hearts fan that called me an arsehole - I hope your next shite is a hedgehog. Bring on United, 4th - Here we come!
  12. It is a true fact. The ticket office do ask for names beforehand and probably the only way of linking the names up if they have a ST but, unlike all other away game tickets I've purchased this season Hearts was the only one I wasn't asked for a name. Strange.

    Hearts Tickets

I'm guessing 9.30am to 5pm? Will need to go down and get mine tomorrow too.
  14. Well, to add to the curiousity of wondering when this will be played. Theres a schools Coca Cola tournament being played on Fir Park on the 10th of March. Wonder if the ground can handle it!
  15. Info about it just up on the 'fishal. Official
  16. Just checked it out on the Midden 'fishal: Cup Tie Replay on Sky St Mirren's Homecoming Scottish Cup, 5th Round replay against Motherwell at St Mirren Park will be shown live on Sky Sports. The fixture will take place on Thursday, February 19th. The kick-off is expected to be 7:45pm but this is as yet to be confirmed by the SFA. St Mirren requested that their SPL match scheduled for Saturday, February 21st against Hearts at Tynecastle be put back 24 hours but unfortunately that request was declined. This now means that Saints will play their cup tie on the Thursday evening and that the fixture against Hearts will remain on the Saturday afternoon as scheduled. News about the pricing and availability of tickets for the cup tie against Motherwell will be announced later. And, Now confirmed by 'Well..
  17. Tried to get a hold of his missus but, shes away on holiday. But thing is, say he had to sign for them (or anyone Lanarkshire or Glasgow) I know he is happy settled here with his kid enjoying school and his wife at uni but, there wouldn't be any reason to move because he'd still be able to get to training etc. That would be the only thing that I'd worry over if it had to be true..
  18. That would mean Celtic would have to be nice so, nah, I doubt it.. Did everyone have a feeling we were gonna get Celtic? Then again, look on the bright side, if we go out that round - so do Hamilton.
  19. I'm getting worried. I think we are being over-shadowed with the Scolari sacking on Sky Sports News.
  20. Its on Sky Sports News. Trying to find if it will tell me for definite but, Im sure I read on the Motherwell FC Newsletter it will be shown on Sky Sports News.
  21. Finally got round to posting up (Sportscene's very brief) highlights of the goals from last week for anyone that wasn't at the game. Managed only to get goals 2 and 3, unfortunately. Clears up the little doubt in the St Mirren MotM thread, as to who assisted the 3rd goal, O'Brien laying it to Craigan who put it on a plate for Sutton (despite Richard Gordon claiming it as Quinn with the ball in).
  22. No offence whatsoever, I know your a relation of Fitzy. But, I am certainly not a critic of his but, sometimes you need to take the Fitpatrick tinted specs off and see that sometimes he isn't upto standard to be in the team. Making excuses for him saying Hughes got in his way is a bit strange. I like Fitzy but sometimes he looks genuinely scared to make a mistake (no wonder the way the East Stand gets at you..), but I wish he'd build a bit of confidence it would help him so much. McGhee can dress it up all he likes that it was still a 4-3-3, but all the supporters know that those players were not adaptable into a 4-3-3 which made it a solid midfield 5 as a 4-5-1. I hope he can learn that those players can't make a 4-5-1 formation and either sticks to 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 and has to play someone along side Clarky..
  23. A random one from me but, I gave it to Darren Smith. Never usually go for subs as they shouldn't have enough time to out play someone that has played the full game but, it is definitely an improvement from him. Look stronger, fitter and more hungry, keep it up please and be the impact player you were last season.
  24. Echo what everyones said, don't think there was a 'Well fan in the ground that was confussed (even a little!) by the starting formation. 4-5-1 (or 4-1-4-1 which I thought it might be!) will never work if its Clarky up top himself, hes definitely not a lone striker. He needs someone there with him, to win knock ons and link up with. Clarkys not a out and out striker, hes a forward to will get you 10 to 15 goals a season, he really needs someone there. Who that is I don't know, McGhee will decide that, whoever shows the best in training and who will add more to the team should play. Glad we're still in the Cup albeit we need to play again but, surely McGhee can't go wrong again when we play Midden away. With a new surfaced laid at St Mirren we can certainly do it then.
