Good post wee g ,i just cant understand that when we have a player who's on a bad run or having an off day that we don't give the younger guys a chance .Forbes Pollock or Carswell in midfield ,Lawless Smith or McHugh up front, Page in defense .We have good youth system at Motherwell producing good players but if your not going to give them a chance whats the point.

0-0 draw with hearts at the end of last season was a game where we had to change the team and played a much more defensive minded team ,we did all right that day so mccall can change things when required ,and anyway motherwell at this time are a work in progress .

And i hope all this fun and excitement doesn't mask the fact that this was another piss poor result. Someone said on firparkcorner that this is what you get when you reward failure.The only people that like losing are losers.

A lot of really good crosses into the box tonight but no one on the end of things. So much of our best play is down the flanks then balls hit into the box but time and again there is no one there.

The last of our 3 home fixtures that we were hoping to win, we've lost tae st johnstone and hibs but expectations will be high for a win on Saturday against a team that had a howler of a result tonight.

Best outfield player was law but my man of the match was randolph ,some superb saves.

Yes Higdon did a good job but Law was the best player tonight for me. Murphy was poor.

Enjoyed the game but the bottom line is that we lost the match, McCall put faith in the same players that played on Saturday and although it was a better display it was still a bad defeat to a team bottom of the league .We now have Aberdeen on Saturday in what is now a must win game .

When it comes to the technical side of the game I'm not the most knowledgeable,systems, formations and the like are for others to debate .But i know when we play poorly and when a player is playing poorly ,on Saturday we played very poorly and some of the players not for the first time this season were sadly lacking ,3 players in particular come to mind Higdon,Humphrey and Lasley. McCall doesn't seem to want to change the team ,now if the team play tomorrow night in the same way as they did on Saturday would i be right in saying that McCall is much like myself, clueless when it comes to the technical side of the game.

There is a reason these guys are on the bench and it answers your question.

If the team play as bad as they did on Saturday and lose the Hibs now SteelmenOnline will go into meltdown about 11 o'clock tomorrow night.

I don't understand why everyone is so keen to have Page and or McHugh in the team. Both pish.

And there is our biggest problem in a nutshell as far as i'm concerned .Nae squad depth.

Thats why we support Motherwell.

You've got a good point but the reason I'm no to confident is that outwith the Inverness and Dunfermline games we've scores 2 goals in our other six games.

Some like Higdon and Humphrey have been consistently bad though, was Higdon a panic signing when Sutton left ?lookin like it. And as someone said hes deceptively slow.

Cant see us scoring so i have to go for a Hibs win .

Its the old quality or quantity debate Dave ,do we pay a wee bit more for quality players [Law,Jenno,] or do we bring in 4or5 squad players .When everything is going well and the squad is injury and suspension free the quality option is fine. But when injury strikes or players go of the boil your in trouble.

For all we were bad i honestly thought st johnstone weren't that much better ,they packed there defence and made it difficult for us but as an attacking force they looked no better than us ,the 3 goals were if we are honest Motherwell blunders. The game was a complete bore from start to finish.

Lawless, Smith and Pollock were all missing today.

Humphrey,one of the worst Motherwell players ive ever seen.
