  1. At one point yesterday the thought of Humphrey going to right back to perhaps help us cope with the quick breakaways by Rangers and Hatley going into right midfield and putting in better cross balls came to mind ,worth a try or just balls?
  2. Spot on mate, there is also money to be made from the so called diddy cup, strongest team and get intae them.
  3. Bit of an overraction sorry over reaction their Steve.
  4. Had a wee dig on another thread about stay away fans on old firm days ,but thought our support was good yesterday and the young guys are doing a great job ,long may it continue.
  5. O'brien is similar to Humphrey in that he promises much but delivers little.
  6. Well I thought we had a decent support which was good, Hammel and Law did well and Jenno and Keith battled away, other than that it was pretty poor. Humphrey was once AGAIN ineffectual ,HigdonKEY was much the same and although Murphy tried he was just too powder puff against Rangers big defenders. Rangers cut through our lackadaisical defence at times like a knife through butter and truth be told it could have been more than 3. However other results today leave us second top behind Rangers on goal difference, still a disappointing day though.
  7. Rangers are confident here is an example. Most clubs have one, and the phenomenon is usually characterised by one team’s mysterious inability to get a result against another, no matter what the competition, the venue or the circumstances. For fans and players of Motherwell, there is no doubt about which team has been their ‘bogey side’ in recent years. In fact, Rangers’ stranglehold over the Steelmen is so strong that it could be used to define the term in a dictionary. Motherwell may have made a flying start to their league campaign but the odds are still stacked firmly against them this Sunday. Last season they faced Rangers four times in the SPL and lost on all four occasions. More worryingly though, the scorelines read 4-1, 1-4, 6-0 and 0-5. Indeed, Motherwell haven’t beaten Rangers in the SPL since Boxing Day 2002, and it would take a brave man to back them to reverse this trend. Rangers’ strikers will be rubbing their hands at the prospect of visiting their most generous hosts again, and with Nikica Jelavic and Stevie Naismith already on fire this season it could be another heavy defeat for the steelmen.
  8. If people don't want to come along and support the team that's up to them ,but we had 18,000 at the final and will have about 3,500 if were lucky tomorrow .A better way to make a bit of cash would be to shut the cooper stand put the fans in the east and uncle phil stands and save money on stewarding and the like .
  9. Our supporters are much like the team when Rangers come to town ,they shit there drawers and fail to turn up.
  10. I have been told that the grooooondsman is a mr ellis from armadale.
  11. Cup finals aside i always thought Gordon Marshall was a decent goalkeeper and i cant see any reason why he wont be a decent goalkeeping coach. Problem wi Hibs is they have had crap keepers for years widnea matter who the coach was.

  13. When i got home from the game BBC news 24 was on ,the guy said there were no goals in the game at firpark between motherwell and hearts .That's a cracker on the back page of the record though.
  14. Just like to add my tuppence worth ,great second half from the team there was times it looked like we had 3 or 4 extra players not just 1 ,we just seemed to be everywhere Hearts couldn't do a thing about it .Hatley and Hammel were great on the flanks defensively and going forward ,the midfield was the proverbial engine room and up front Murphy ,Higdon and Humphrey all played there part. Just a mention for young Saunders he made a few mistakes but he and Craigan were solid for most of the match. Randolph tested twice and was more than capable. My man of the match Keith Lasley.
  15. Great result ,and how shite were Hearts by the way .
  16. Another great football rule by the looks of it steelboy, we lose out ,the player loses out and even his former clubs lose out because a lot of clubs cant or wont pay that kind of money .90,000 euros 10,000 a season tae amateur clubs wonder who thought that one up. Saying that there will be players and clubs who will benefit no doubt.
  17. Clarky is injured Steve ,i for one would like to see him back at Motherwell though.
  18. Just a coloured version of you Busta.
  19. I thought amatuer teams didnt recieve any money.
  20. There was a Trialist playing with the under 19,s last week at Bathgate don't know if hes the French-Angolan player but he played well ,its a pity we've lost out again by yet another admin error or a cock up as Dossers fae the shire wid sae.
  21. I think Higdon is a good player but for me in the pre season games and against Inverness he did nothing of any note ,if he plays today and plays well i will be delighted .Tough game today against Hearts 2-2 maybe.
  22. I would just as readily play McHugh or Smith rather than Higdon and why not what has Higdon done in the games hes played in.
