  1. I think if we had an attack minded manager who liked his teams to play football Gow could be a decent signing, but if we are just going to hump the ball up the park then its going will be difficult for quite a few players.

  4. According to the official Falkirk site our under 19,s beat Falkirk under 19,s 1-0 today in a match at Dalziel park .Must have been a friendly ,anyone know anything.
  5. Randolph in goal a back four of Hateley ,Craigan,Reynolds and Hammell, in the middle i would go with Jennings, Lasley and Gow, and i would give young Pollock a run out playing just behind the front two of Murphy and Sutton.
  6. Brown also updated motherwellfc.co.uk on yesterday’s bounce game with Hearts at Riccarton. The Steelmen ran out 2-1 winners courtesy of goals from Esteban Casagolda and Nick Blackman and Brown heaped praise on the fringe players bursting a gut to get into the team. The 70-year-old said, “We don’t normally make too big a fuss about these bounce games, which is quite deliberate as they are often experimental. “But I must pay tribute to our lads; they were superb. Both our goals were absolutely terrific. Casagolda burst through one-on-one with the goalkeeper and lobbed a beautiful effort into the net. The second, from Blackman, was a carbon copy of Lukas Jutkiewicz’s against Hibs at the tail end of last season. “We are getting better and better performances from our fringe lads. Jonathan Page, for example is certainly benefitting from the increased exposure to first-team football and Lee Hollis looked assured and safe in goals. We are hopeful these guys, along with the others, can start staking a claim for a regular start in the first-team. “We also tried one or two players in different positions and they did well. We’ve now got some things to think about ahead of the game with St Johnstone on the 11th September.”

  8. Jim Gannon was an arrogant bastard of a man whose training methods gave us a team who ran out of steam after an hour, and he himself ran out of Ideas when other teams got the measure of his style of play.
  9. Hard to believe it was on this date August 30 2003, he scored twice in a 2-2 draw with Partick thistle. 7 years ago .

  11. I think the midfield is causing the problems ,Lasley and Jennings are a couple of defensive midfielders who get stuck in but offer little in a creative sense ,Hatley has picked up where he finished last season contributing nothing to the team .Would it not have been better to bring in one or two midfielders rather than two strikers , I think McHugh ,Smith or Lawless could have come in and done a job up front. Think we could also give the young guy Jamie Pollock a run out he is the type of creative player were crying out for. Just have to put our trust in Craig[long baw] Broon and hope he can come up with something. Time will tell.
  12. To be honest Jay we have been void of ideas for most of the season.
  13. One of the worst Well games in recent years , created hee haw ,how do we imagine that folks will fork out £20 to support that crap .
  14. The under 19,s won 2-0 at Bathgate this afternoon.
  15. Yes thats the same guy mate.
  16. Unless we get that midfield sorted out it will be 3 defeats in a row today , 4 on thursday.
  17. Jordan Halsman scored another for Annan in a 2-2 draw with Stranraer today.
  18. Were 1-3 down and came back to win 3-4 against Hibs ,good start check twitter for the goalscorers be a full report on the official site later.
  19. "We should've been well ahead at half-time and second half we didn't do enough to stay in the game. Hibs' equaliser was a massive blow, but the game should've been out of sight by then. We didn't maintain our dominance and paid the penalty. Any neutral watching would say there was nothing between the two sides and I think that'll remain the case throughout the season." Motherwell manager Craig Brown
  20. No complaints really ,had a decent first half but lost our way in the second , to be honest Hibs in the second half cut through our defence far to easily, we on the other hand just aimlessly pumped balls into there box. One or two of our players[Lasley,Hatley] have been worryingly poor in the games Ive seen so far .
