My first thoughts would have been that no good having a blank canvas when you cant afford the paint but I'm in a very pro-JB mood at present and he made this statement on the offishal site......... “However, we will be pro-active in preparing for all eventualities to ensure that the best interests of Motherwell Football Club are upheld.” and I hope that means he has a plan re management and the squad!! On the basis he suprised us all when MMG joined and made a few £££££ available for salaries I would hope he is ready to surprise us again.

Very true and the Setanta problem just might leave the door open for them to do what they always wanted and secure their own TV deals on a season or match by match basis whereby they are getting to keep almost all the money for themselves (with obviously a small slice for the lucky team they are playing). This was always the dream situation for the scum and if the SPL cant get a new deal I do think the door has been opened

I know what you sayin but the problem arises when she looks like Kelly Brook, sucks yer knob four times a day and invites her best friend round for 3somes - ye kind of know she will eventually leave but you keep her on board for as long as ye can!!!! I agree though that MMG needs to go now so we can crack on as players and new signings need to be ready within the next few weeks and it looks like last season when we missed the boat for the same reasons. I do have some hope that something is happening behind the scenes and that JB has a plan but if that plan involves giving MMG even more money and we have this scenario again in 12 months then they can all fuck off now!!

Have to agree with this - long overdue!

Sadly in football lessons are rarely learn't and the problems of the past soon forgotton!! As it's only £3M quid that setanta havent paid up I am hoping the damage to a club such as ours will be limited. Its probably a safe assumption that the ol' scum will be taking around 70% or 80% of that for themselves with the rest either divided equally or based on league position or games televised - who knows! On that basis though we could be losing out on about £200K and whilst thats not to be sneezed at it's the clubs that are already a few million in debt and needing that money to service interest payments and bank charges that could really suffer and will soon have creditors knockin on the door.

Is it published anywhere how much the Club gets yearly from the Setanta deal?

Would be nice to be able to buy a top without the sponsors name but it's income the club cant afford to lose and on that basis it wouldnt stop me buying a new strip. My only whinge would be that we all have a huge stash of old Well tops and many of these are still very smart looking tops that feel dated due to the sponsors logo splashed across the front - how many people have one of the black and white motorola tops that just dont get worn or own the Zoom gear but wont wear it purely due to the logo!!

We took that many to Nancy so I'd hope people would get off there arses and travel a few miles down the road!! I'd like to think that the time of year and the summer weather (hopefully) will get a few extra bodies thru the door. There is not much football planned for July and if the club gets the pricing right then its a great excuse for a family evening out to watch the Well. Would expect in excess of 6000 at NDP but we dont know if its on the telly yet and that could scupper it if its a typical summers night - pishing doon!

Looks the bollox and the training gear will sell well me thinks..... With this and the pitch updates and getting the Cooper back next season its like supportin a club that cares. Well done all at FP

Think I read that the first game on the new Fir Park pitch would be the Wigan friendly so I assume if we progressed through the qualifying rounds then a few home legs could be played somewhere else. We could combine a Tour of Europe with a Tour of Lanarkshire!!! That'll look good on a t-shirt

I heard from my mums neighbours sisters pet rabbit that we have become a feeder club for Man Utd and that Fergie himself will be stepping down at Old trafford to come up here and take charge of the Well. This will allow players like Ronaldo to get some top experience outside the Premiership without having to go to Real Madrid. If this is not denied by either Flow or Miss Dempster by midnite tonight then it must be true
