Was a good piece of business as well by the Club when he signed the extension as we can hopefully turn a few extra £££s when we come to sell him - which could be in the summer if the money and timing is right! Almost certain if someone offers £800k for a player we signed on a free then he will be gone because thats the business we are in and have no problem with that at all.

Spot on - the fixtures are effectively worked out at the beginning of the season based on the teams that finished in the top/bottom six at the end of the previous season. Totally crazy system as the nature of the game means that the league will never finish in the same order two seasons running but it works for the scum and thats all that matters!! The SPL is basically designed and managed with the expectation that the six city clubs will always be the top six clubs and it completely f*cks the system up when us shitey wee teams finish in the top half!!

Fair point but most teams often get a little lift when a new management team joins and Aberdeen have enjoyed that bounce but it's only the fact that Accies have been so feckin awful this season that prevents the sheep from being right amongst the relegation candidates now.

Actually it's Browns word against Brown!! He has publicly stated (many times) that he didnt have a contract/agreement and could walk away at any time but he also states that he is due bonus money under his contract/agreement!! Wish the old fecker would make his mind up

Difficult decisions for McCall to make because a win against Hearts could still give us an outside chance of 4th in the League and another (possible) route into Europe (and the extra cash for 4th or 5th) but resting some of the squad makes sense but then leaves us open to a defeat by the Jambo's and if we also lost the semi - then our season is over!! (top 6 finish still a major achievement though). I'm all for playing the strongest squad possible in both matches and hope the full weeks rest inbetween is all they need to recover. Let's just have trust in McGhee, Gannon, Broon, McCall or whoever it is now as my memory's shite
