  1. What evidence or personal experience do you have that Bob Malcolm had a bad attitude, or that his personal behaviour on or off the pitch with Motherwell was not satisfactory, or that he thinks he's better than he is? All of the things I have mentioned you have said in your post, and I would quite like to hear your answers.

And is Bob your pal??? I know as much as you. Its opinion.

  2. OK then...he's not such a good football player. If he was, and was fit, and used the potential you said he has/had, then this discussion may not be taking place. Attitude and personal behaviour both on and off the football pitch is just as important as his ability on the pitch.

And, without prejudice, then, he's not THAT good, but thinks he's better than he is. A common delusion in sportspeople...and commentators.

  3. I think the consensus is that unless a footballer is fit, trains regularly, and behaves himself, is loyal to his employer, and (shhhh...whisper it, scores the odd goal or several in a season), and isn't a struggling lump of lard...then he may not fit in at SPL level...only my opinion mind

    Bob Malcolm=Bigoted Baggage.

  4. MDW is spot on, Malcolm is a great footballer. When it comes to passing, free kicks, technical ability etc, he's got it all. Obviously the down side was his fitness and work rate.

I'd gladly have him back if he were to up his fitness!

    :D:ph34r::lol:

  5. For what it's worth, I agree.

Some folks just don't like being told what to do.....

And in my opinion, pretending to be an athlete isn't the same as being one, and ultimately, the only person you end up kidding on, would be yourself.

  6. Sack them. :witchhunt:

    ;)

    Curses....you got in before me.

Yes. Poor result this evening. Sack Jack and Vamoose Victor. The caretaker manager must go.

Gannon may have had to work with players that didn't like being telt what to do.......

Can't wait to read JOB's facebook comments after this evening.......

  7. There are problems with the East Stand, the amount of water that comes down out of the roof is ridiculous. The toilet facilities are also poor but I very rarely use them living close to the stadium. Better exits would also be welcomed.

However, generally the East Stand is fine for watching football from. When I go to a game I just want to sit down and watch the game. Maybe I'm old fashioned in that regard but I don't really care about 'facilities'. The couple of times I've been in hospitality I've not really enjoyed the match as much as I would have if I'd been in the East.

Frankly I think a lot of people are just soft these days. Oh no it's cold! Oh no they don't have canapes! Oh no the seat isn't cushioned in deep velvet!

I think seats are overrated. Bring back the terracing. The game would have been on yesterday if we'd have been able to stand and stamp the cold out of our feet...and I'm glad to see the new training thingwy is up the Back Road..... :wallbash:

  8. If the kiosks can't get numbers right, and for folks to have to leave the first half fifteen minutes before its finished, just to be sure of getting a hot pie, and for the hot chocolate to taste of stale water, (every home game), and when they run out of crisps for heaven's sake, and when the attendants are paid rubbish money by an outside company that pays no attention to customer service...lets get the historical and traditional fayre right before we try alternatives. Pies are great, in moderation, and one or two a week won't pile on the weight. (but thats a different argument)

And I think taking in your own food is like going to the pictures with a picnic. Its not the same as buying popcorn and hotdogs when you're there.

Hotdogs would be a good alternative to a pie, for those watching their weight. :P

  9. Well Emmajay - what do you think?? Do you think he was sacked because he excelled at man management and had all the players and staff on his side................

I know for a fact he fell out with the media, the referees and a number of players at Motherwell. It now seems as if the board had also had enough. So I do believe that the answer to your question is YES.

I think somewhere in all of this, is a grain of truth. And I don't believe its as one sided as we've been told...

  10. This threads a cracker.

For what its worth, I don't think Craig will be fully commited to Motherwell as he is a ladies man and will be too busy with all the burds from the shop and ticket office.

I completely agree with you. :notworthy:

    Craig and stamina...a tenuous relationship...

  11. Not likely - unless he can learn to get on with people. It takes something to fall out with virtually everyone he came into contact with during his time at Motherwell.

Gannon would be an excellent Manager if he had diplomacy as a personality trait. Basically he had his views and they were always right regardless of who you were.

And you know these things as absolute fact??

  12. I've not changed my tune, I think sacking Gannon is a ridiculous decision, terrible timing and if there were other reasons behind the manager's dismissal, then we should be told. Giving someone the bullet for not having a contract when you've allowed them to work without a contract for months, well I hope Boyle realises how stupid that sounds.

Gannon seemed like he knew his own mind, if Boyle just wants a puppet then maybe he'll bear that in mind with the next appointment he makes.

I totally agree with you Wellgirl. I just didn't have the opportunity to write it!!!

There's three sides to every story, and at the moment, opinions are being based on only one side.
